  • Publication number: 20070257695
Abstract: An inspecting method comprises the following steps. A plurality of defect inspection devices is formed on a wafer. Each defect inspection device comprises an insulating layer and a conductive layer stacked over the insulating layer. A defect inspection parameter is set and the wafer is scanned with an electron beam to obtain a plurality of defect signals. The number of defect signals is checked to determine if it is equal to the number of defect inspection devices. If the number of defect signals is smaller than the number of defect inspection devices, the defect inspection parameter is readjusted and the aforementioned step of performing an electron beam scanning and checking for equality between the number of defect signals and the number of defect inspection devices are repeated. The process is complete when the number of defect signals is at least equal to the number of defect inspection devices.

  • Publication number: 20070258358
Abstract: Improvement of reception downlink common control channels in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-based cellular wireless communication system is provided by User Equipment (UE) using a downlink synchronization channel transmitted in an adjacent OFDM symbol as a pilot channel for channel estimation upon common control channel demodulation. When providing both unicast and multicast data services, OFDM symbol transmitting multicast data generally has a longer Cyclic Prefix (CP) than an OFDM symbol for unicast data than a signal frequency network. Therefore, length of CPs of OFDM symbols belonging to each subframe may change depending on whether multimedia data is transmitted. Although a UE does not recognize the length of a CP applied to a subframe in which a common control and a synchronization channel are transmitted, the UE can use a downlink synchronization channel as a channel estimation pilot to demodulate the common control channel.

  • Publication number: 20070258120
Abstract: A micro-electro mechanical system (MEMS) scanner. The MEMS scanner includes a first frame rotationally vibrated about an axle according to a low-frequency vertical scan function, a second frame supported coaxially with and rotationally on the first frame, a vibration member disposed between the first frame and the second frame so as to vibrate the second frame with respect to the first frame according to a high-frequency vertical scan function. A MEMS mirror which receives a vertical scan motion of the second frame and simultaneously operates in a rotational vibration mode about an axle according to a high-frequency horizontal scan function so as to two-dimensionally scan a screen with incident light. Therefore, scan lines are uniformly produced in a scanning direction and, thus, pixels can be uniformed arranged across a screen, increasing the vertical resolution of the screen and providing high-quality images.

  • Publication number: 20070257755
Abstract: A magnetic flux coupling-type superconducting current limiter is capable of protecting lines more effectively by winding reactors of a primary coil and a secondary coil in series in the structure where the primary coil and the secondary coils are wound in parallel in the conventional magnetic flux-lock type current limiter to increase a linked flux generated from an iron core. An electric conducting current which rapidly increases when a fault occurs is divided into the secondary coil and a superconducting coil to decrease a load on the superconducting element and it is opened more rapidly than the existing superconducting current limiter during a quench time such that it better limits a fault current.

  • Publication number: 20070260027
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a phenolic polymer using a phenothiazine-based mediator, in particular, to a process for preparing a phenolic polymer via polymerization of phenolic monomers by using a phenothiazine-based mediator in the presence of peroxidase biocatalyst and an oxidant, thereby drastically improving the enzyme reactivity of peroxidase. The phenolic polymers prepared according to the polymerization of this invention maintain unsaturated hydrocarbon groups linked to their side chains, so that they are very useful as a curing resin because they can easily form coatings through radical curing. In addition, the coating formed using the curing resin has an antioxidation effect and a low surface energy, so that they can prevent physical attachment of marine livings. Because the antifouling-causing functional groups are not consumed, the coatings continuously exhibit durability.
