    Abstract: An electrophoretic particle includes ionic liquid stored in a spherical polymer shell and a charged layer formed on an inner surface of the shell, and a display device includes the electrophoretic particle. The shell is not charged, and the charged layer in the shell is charged. Therefore, particles having different polarities from each other do not stick to each other. Since the electrophoretic particles are dispersed in air, a high response speed can be achieved, a large amount of charges can be formed by the ionic liquid and the charged layer contacting the ionic liquid, and thus, the particles can move with a low driving voltage.

    Abstract: The present invention is an interpolation device and method. According to the present invention, a plurality of pixels close to a pixel to be interpolated are sequentially set to a central pixel. When a pixel difference closest to a threshold value among pixel differences between the central pixel and a plurality of pixels around the central pixel belongs to a quasi-edge decision range, an edge interpolation and a bilinear interpolation are mixed to interpolate the pixel to be interpolated. As a result, it is possible to prevent reduction in image quality due to an edge verdict caused by unstable input image signal and perform a stable interpolation operation.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a thick gallium nitride (GaN) layer includes forming a porous GaN layer having a thickness of 10-1000 nm by etching a GaN substrate in a reaction chamber in an HCI and NH3 gas atmosphere and forming an in-situ GaN growth layer in the reaction chamber. The method of forming the porous GaN layer and the thick GaN layer in-situ proceeds in a single chamber. The method is very simplified compared to the prior art. In this way, the entire process is performed in one chamber, and in particular, GaN etching and growth are performed using an HVPE process gas such that costs are greatly reduced.

The blowing unit includes a centrifugal fan mounted in a machine compartment and a blowing guide member to guide air blown by the centrifugal fan to the front of the main body. Consequently, it is possible to discharge the air that has already passed through the bottom type condenser, to the front of the main body, thereby accomplishing the smooth discharge of air and reducing the power consumption necessary to blow the air.

The substrate includes a plurality of active areas, and each of the active areas has a pixel area and a peripheral area. The connecting line is formed from a different layer than the guard ring, to electrically connect the guard ring with pads. The connecting line is formed before forming an organic insulating layer, and thus the frequency and/or severity of patterning defects of the connecting line may be reduced or prevented.
