  • Patent number: 6104855
Abstract: A terminal assembly for an optic cable equipped with terminal connectors is provided with a housing having a small through-hole and a large through-hole. A plug for keeping optical fibers within the housing to prevent the optical fibers from getting entangled with one another is mounted within the housing. Through the use of a nut member fixed to the cable, the housing is fixed to the cable. A flexible cap member for enclosing the optical fibers and the terminal connectors is combined with the housing to enclose them.

  • Patent number: 6058558
Abstract: An auxiliary brush holder for a vacuum cleaner which can hold a plurality of auxiliary brushes. The auxiliary brush holder has a frame having an opening into which an extension pipe is inserted, an extension bar which is integrally formed with a lower portion of a first end of the frame and extends downwards therefrom so as to be inserted into a receptacle formed at a body of the vacuum cleaner, and two arcuate ribs which are integrally formed at a lower portion of a second end of the frame and upwardly extend to an upper surface of the frame. The two arcuate grooves are defined between the two arcuate ribs and the second end of the frame and the arcuate ribs are regularly spaced out by a predetermined distance apart from each other. The auxiliary brush holder can hold a plurality of auxiliary brushes with simple construction, so the user can easily use the required auxiliary brush while the cleaning work is being carried out, thereby improving cleaning efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5932505
Abstract: Hydrofluoric acid-resistant ceramic mortar compositions containing a hydrofluoric acid-resistant grog having a particle size distribution imparting a high particle packing fraction to the mortar composition and a binding phase containing a metal salt having a particle size distribution imparting plasticity to the mortar composition selected from hydrofluoric acid-insoluble fluoride salts, metal salts capable of forming hydrofluoric acid-insoluble fluoride salts upon reaction with a fluorinating reagent and mixtures thereof. Methods for forming hydrofluoric acid-resistant ceramic mortar compositions from non-fluoride metal salts are also disclosed as well as methods for bonding refractory bricks into a brickwork unit with the ceramic mortars of the invention. Brickwork units prepared using the ceramic mortar compositions of the invention by the methods of the invention are also described.

  • Patent number: 5914136
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming semiconductor chip packages which is able to compensate for the flatness of substrates and the true straightness of edges of substrates, which substrates are inserted in molds in a forming process of semiconductor chip packages. According to the present invention, the semiconductor package strips excellent in surface flatness and side straightness of a substrate can be manufactured, because the thickness deviation and the side nonuniformity of a substrate can be compensated for in the resin molding process of the semiconductor package by use of a forming apparatus which comprises the individual cavity blocks, elastically mounted so as to float up and down, and the elastic pressing members, mounted on one end of the upper and lower chases.

  • Patent number: 5878789
Abstract: The present invention relates to a press for trimming and forming lead frames of semiconductor packages which have been molded in order to form individual semiconductor chips. The press machine for forming semiconductor packages according to the present invention is able to perform punching operation at low noise and high speed by vertically moving the upper mold mounted on an movable plate through a crank mechanism which is operated by a servomotor and has a characteristic of performing accelerated and decelerated motion with rotation, and also able to drive a feeding device by using the power of the servomotor which drives the press device, without using other driving source. And when there is caused such a trouble that a lead frame gets off the correct position, punching operation is interrupted to prevent any damage on semiconductor packages and a mold by lifting the movable plate provided with an upper mold.

  • Patent number: 5843256
Abstract: The present invention is a method of making cleaning pads by taking an already made continuous mesh tube or knitting a continuous mesh tube, and inserting a continuous absorbent element material into the mesh tube. Then, feeding the continuous mesh tube with the continuous absorbent element into a compressing and ultra-sonic sealing apparatus, and compressing the continuous mesh tube and the continuous absorbent element within the continuous mesh tube together. Then, sealing the compressed continuous mesh tube along with the compressed continuous absorbent element with a ultra-sonic sealing apparatus, and cutting the compressed and sealed continuous mesh tube and the compressed continuous absorbent element thereby forming one or more cleaning pads.
