  • Patent number: 7471256
Abstract: A Ultra WideBand (UWB) substrate type dipole antenna is provided which has a stable radiation pattern. The UWB substrate type dipole antenna includes a dielectric substrate, a first radiator formed on a side of the dielectric substrate, a signal line transmitting an energy from a coaxial cable to the first radiator, and a plurality of second radiators formed at a predetermined distance from the first radiator and the signal line, and respectively having therein a plurality of slits of a predetermined configuration. Because there is no leakage of electric current to an outer part of an external conductor of the coaxial cable, even when the connection of the connector and the coaxial cable to the antenna, distortion of the radiation pattern of the antenna is prevented. As a result, the same radiation pattern and the direction of maximum radiation may be obtained before and after connection with the connector and the coaxial cable.

  • Publication number: 20080316885
Abstract: An optical recording medium is provided for allowing data to be recorded on, erased from, and reproduced from, and storing information about power levels of an erase pulse. The recorded erase pattern information may include information about power levels of first and last pulses of an erase pattern for erasing data. The first and last pulses of the erase pattern can be differently set depending on the differing kind of recording layer or layers of a disk or differing kinds of disks and recorded in a reproducible only area or rewritable area of the optical recording medium. Thus, by presetting the appropriate erase power levels, the time required for selecting an optimal erase power for the optical recording medium can be considerably reduced.

  • Publication number: 20080278721
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for monitoring a state of a plasma chamber. In the method, an optical characteristic of plasma generated in a plasma chamber including a window is measured in a predetermined measurement wavelength band. A process status index (PSI) is extracted from the measured optical characteristic. A state of the plasma chamber is evaluated by analyzing the extracted PSI. The optical characteristic of the plasma is measured in the predetermined measurement wavelength band in which a transmittance of light passing through the window is substantially independent of a wavelength of the light.

  • Patent number: 7443405
Abstract: A gray-scale representation method for a plasma display panel, which method includes arranging, in time sequence, a plurality of subfields each having a brightness weight and achieving gray-scale representation by a combination of the subfields, each subfield including an address period and a sustain period. In the gray-scale representation method, the number of sustain pulses for each subfield is determined so that a light generated from the difference of the number of sustain pulses between two adjacent gray scales can be greater than a light discharged in the address period, when the number of subfields for the higher one of the two adjacent gray scales is less than that for the lower one. The reversion of gray scales that occurs when the address light is increased as high as the sustain light can be eliminated to achieve correct gray-scale representation.
