    Abstract: A method for informing about power information and a base station are disclosed in the present document. The method includes: a base station informing a user equipment of at least one of the following types of power ratio information through signalings: ratio information of transmission power for transmitting a second category of control signaling information to transmission power for transmitting dedicated demodulation pilots; and ratio information of transmission power for transmitting data information to transmission power for transmitting dedicated demodulation pilots in a subframe where data transmission occupies only one slot. In the example of the present document, when the second category of control signalings and the data are sent, different transmission layers and transmission powers can be selected, which solves the problem resulted from an inconsistency of Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) powers and avoids a demodulation error.

    Abstract: Ultrasonic diagnostic devices and methods for supporting synchronous scanning are provided in this disclosure. The ultrasonic diagnostic device can include a display module, an imaging system and multiple probes. The multiple probes are capable of being attached to different positions on a body surface of a patient, such that synchronous and real-time scanning can be performed by the multiple probes for body parts corresponding to those different positions on the patient's body surface. Echo signals can be obtained by the multiple probes through scanning, and may then be transmitted to the imaging system. The imaging system can convert the multiple echo signals transmitted from the multiple probes into multiple ultrasonic images. The display module may be coupled to the imaging system. It can receive the multiple ultrasonic images processed and outputted by the imaging system, and display these images synchronously.

A server device may encode a requested AV stream into a set of different encoding profiles that may be dynamically determined based on the varying channel conditions and device capacities of the client devices. At least a portion of differently encoded AV streams is selected and dynamically communicated to the client devices for display. Session parameters are determined according to the varying channel conditions and the device capacities of the client devices to create intended sessions. The selected encoded AV streams are communicated utilizing segment-based adaptive streaming techniques such as HTTP. A client device may access to a HTTP session to download an expected AV stream from the server device. The downloaded AV stream may be decoded into different decoding profiles for display as needed.

    Abstract: A switching power converter provides regulated voltage to a load. The switching power converter comprises a transformer including a primary winding coupled to an input voltage and a secondary winding coupled to an output of the switching power converter. The switching power converter further comprises a power switch coupled to the primary winding and a rectifier coupled to the secondary winding. Current is generated in the primary winding responsive to the power switch being turned on and not generated responsive to the power switch being turned off. A detection circuit measures a voltage across the rectifier. If the detection circuit detects a decrease in the voltage across the rectifier outside of a blanking period, the detection circuit generates a current pulse in the secondary winding of the transformer.

The transmitter circuitry may be configured to transmit the ABR segment streams on a shared frequency, such as by transmitting the segment streams over spatially separated antennas, or by applying different orbital angular momentums to the ABR segment streams. In one or more implementations, the system may further include a segment interleaver that is configured to interleave the ABR segment streams.

    Abstract: A system and method is provided for quickly and accurately creating custom-fit artificial nails by introducing a secondary shaping process to pre-made nail blanks by using thermoforming method with appropriate nail tooling. The method includes measuring a natural nail and using this information to select a matching, or, close to matching, nail blank and a mold where the nail blank is thermoformed in the mold to match substantially the size and shape of the natural nail. The options available in combining pre-made nail blanks with further thermoforming allows for accommodating a wide variety of shapes and sizes of natural nails. The system and method offers the advantage of safely producing custom-fit artificial nails, which fit properly on user's natural nails within a short period of time. The system is advantageously small and suitable for use inside a nail salon.
