    Abstract: A data sector reassigning technique in a hard disk drive detects of a soft defect in a hard disk drive having a plurality of data sectors and an error correction capability. An error rate is calculated during a data read, and a soft defect is detected by varying the error correction capability according to the calculated error rate. A read error of the detected soft defect is recovered by setting the error correction capability to a maximum level if the read error is not recovered, and a spare sector is reassigned to substitute for a corresponding sector.

    Abstract: An electrophotographic printer includes a photosensitive drum sensitized with first and second images to be printed and a sheet-feeding roller for supplying a sheet on which the images are printed. The photosensitive drum is sensitized by the first image for one side and the second image for the other side to be printed. The electrophotographic printer is comprised of first and second transfer rollers. The first transfer roller transfers and prints the first image, which is sensitized on the photosensitive drum, onto the one side of the sheet as the first transfer roller rotates while contacting the photosensitive drum. The second transfer roller transfers and prints the second image, which is sensitized on the photosensitive drum and transferred to the second transfer roller via the first transfer roller, onto the other side of the sheet as the second transfer roller rotates while contacting first transfer roller.

    Abstract: An isolation bar is provided across the center of an air filtration unit for a laminar flow clean room. When a panel for partitioning the clean room is installed across the center of a filter of the air filtration unit, the isolation bar is used for fixing the panel thereon, thereby dividing the filter into two sub-filters, instead of using two conventional half sized air filtration units that require respective fans for smooth downstream flow of air. As a result, the air filtration unit including the isolation bar according to the present invention is capable of reducing cost and power consumption without any efficiency loss.
