  • Publication number: 20100315247
Abstract: A multi-function LED lighting device includes a light-sensitive switch on a housing; light sources including a light sensor and first LEDs wherein one light source further has second LEDs; and a controller including a CDS member, a detector, and an on/off switch. The detector may receive a signal from each light sensor and send same to the on/off switch for activation. Each light sensor may sense a predetermined area of a room and provide a signal to the detector in response to a detection of a presence of a person in the predetermined area, the detector is enabled by the signal to activate one of sections of the on/off switch electrically connected to the first LEDs of one light source. The light-sensitive switch may turn on and activate the CDS member in response to a dark environment, and the activated CDS member may enable the second LEDs.

  • Publication number: 20100113051
Abstract: A method for use of a RA preamble with multiple available RACH resources is described. The method includes allocating resources including a plurality of RACH resources for a UE. Information that indicates a dedicated preamble and the allocated resources is sent to the UE. The UE receives the information. A response including the dedicated preamble is generated at the UE. The method also includes the UE sending the response over at least two of the allocated resources. In response to receiving at least one response, a message is transmitted to the UE.

  • Publication number: 20100062455
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rapid, high-throughput detection method for screening of potential casualties exposed to a cholinesterase inhibitor. A kit is provided for conducting the method that requires only a small volume of sample such as blood for detection and has a rapid screening throughput for multiple casualties. The kit is able to detect both free and protein-bound-cholinesterase inhibitors. The method should be able to differentiate asymptomatic exposure from the mass psychogenic illness cases.

  • Publication number: 20100037114
Abstract: A method includes, in response to a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle being configured, and in response to a hybrid automatic repeat request round trip time (HARQ RTT) timer for an associated one of n hybrid automatic repeat request processes expiring in a current subframe when data in a corresponding hybrid automatic repeat request buffer is not successfully decoded, determining if a single discontinuous reception retransmission timer has been started. The single discontinuous reception retransmission timer is associated with all n of the hybrid automatic repeat request processes, where n is an integer equal to one or more than one. The method further includes, if the single discontinuous reception retransmission timer has not been started, starting the single discontinuous reception retransmission timer and setting an associated expiry value to a basic value.

  • Publication number: 20090303896
Abstract: An approach is provided for providing random access window configuration by estimating a processing time margin for processing random access preambles received in one or more random access channels. The estimated processing time margin is then used to offset the respective random access window configuration.

  • Publication number: 20090086837
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment in accordance with this invention is a method for determining the number of interfering streams. The method includes calculating statistical information based on one or more received OFDM signals. The number of interfering streams is estimated from the statistical information in this method. The OFDM signal(s) are received via a plurality of antennas. Storing the OFDM signal(s) in a square matrix may be included in the method. A covariance matrix of the square matrix can be determined; and a noise subspace and a signal plus interference subspace can be determined based on a SVD of the covariance matrix. The statistical information may be based on the signal plus interference subspace. Apparatus, computer programs and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20040119294
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flush latch locking mechanism for a door. In our experience, the locking member of prior art flush latches intended for use on doors 27 mm thick only travel a maximum distance of 7 mm. Therefore, there is very little tolerance for variation in the space between the door and door jamb if the door is to be held securely in a closed position. The present invention relates to a flush latch, locking mechanism including an operating lever and a retractable locking member that travels between a rearward retracted position and a forward advanced position. The locking member includes a cam surface having a raised portion which is engaged by the lever in operation so that the locking member can travel up to 13 mm when fitted to a 27 mm thick door.

  • Publication number: 20030150906
Abstract: A multi-compartment mailbox has a master door which a mailman can open, using a first master key, to enable large packages to be delivered, and the master door has a plurality of sub-doors each enabling access to a specific one of the compartments and openable by use of a key different from the master key and different from the keys used to open the other sub-doors. Each sub-door has a mail delivery flap and all the flaps of all the sub-doors can be collectively locked and unlocked to prevent delivery of junk mail. A second master key controls the condition, locked or unlocked, of the flaps and persons, such as building management or town council officials, may also have copies of the second master key, but not the first.
