    Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for patching direct-mode talkgroups among dual-watch mobile radios. A mobile radio has first and second receivers, and is in a first talkgroup having a first channel. The mobile radio resides the first receiver on the first channel, and detects either a first patch event or a second patch event. The first patch event is an instruction for a first-channel session. The second patch event is an invitation for a second-channel session. Upon detecting the first patch event, the mobile radio transmits an invitation on the first channel and also on one or more other channels respectively associated with one or more other talkgroups, directing all recipients to the first channel. If the mobile radio detects the second patch event, the mobile radio resides the second receiver on the second channel.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an integrated LED package for a client device. The integrated LED package includes a flash LED chip, an IR LED chip, and an optional reflective element. The IR LED chip includes an IR LED that emits a cone of IR light, for example, to send commands to another client device such as a TV, to control the TV. The reflective element modifies the cone of IR light such that a TV positioned in front of the client device is likely to receive IR light emitted from the client device. The integrated LED package includes a common anode for both the flash LED and the IR LED. Thus, the integrated LED package may reduce its overall size in comparison to a LED package that does not include a common anode, e.g., the LED package includes a separate anode each for the flash LED and the IR LED.

The scan driving circuit of the present invention conducts a driving operation for the latch module by a first cascade signal and a second cascade signal, so that a clock signal is not required to be processed with a phase inversion, and thereby the scan driving circuit has less overall power consumption.

    Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a radio access network (RAN) device maintains a proxy mapping table (PMT) of any mobile radios that are currently registered with the RAN via a mobile subscriber unit (MSU). The PMT indicates, for each mobile radio listed in the PMT, the particular MSU via which that particular mobile radio is registered with the RAN. The RAN device receives a first service request for a first mobile radio that is listed in the PMT as being registered with the RAN via a first MSU and, in response to receiving the first service request, makes a determination that an air-interface link is available for communication between the RAN and the first MSU. In response to making the determination, the RAN device communicates the first service request via the available air-interface link to the first MSU for delivery to the first mobile radio.

The communication device discovers, using the current location coordinate and the coordinates for the inner area and the outer area, that the communication device is located outside of the inner area and inside of the outer area. Responsive to the discovering, the communication device sends a query to a network equipment to determine the current location of the communication device relative to the geo-fence. The communication device receives information associated with an intermediate area and uses the information associated with the intermediate area to determine the current location of the communication device relative to the geo-fence.

The mobile radio receives user media via its user interface, and transmits that received user media on its selected transmit channel. The mobile radio scans for an auxiliary channel transitioning from inactive to active. Responsive to detecting such a transition, the mobile radio selects that auxiliary channel as its receive channel. The mobile radio mixes inbound media received on its selected receive channel with user media received via its user interface, and transmits the mixed media on its selected transmit channel.
