  • Patent number: 10329726
Abstract: A method of designing a box-type energy-dissipating section of a box-type energy-dissipating mudflow diversion flume. Firstly, the longitudinal gradient J of the flume and the roughness coefficient n 0 of a fully-lined flume bottom (1) are determined. Then, the parameters of the box-type energy-dissipating section are set, and related parameters are substituted into a formula for calculation, so that the overall roughness coefficient n of the flume is obtained. Further, the flow velocity of the mudflow is calculated by means of the Manning formula. Finally, the flow velocity of the mudflow is compared with the non-scouring and non-silting velocity allowed by the flume, and the design value of the box-type energy-dissipating section is obtained through final optimization. The method factors in the longitudinal gradient J of the flume, the length L of the box-type energy-dissipating section, the width b of the box-type energy-dissipating section, and the average diameter D of filler stones.

  • Patent number: 10279806
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a lane estimating apparatus and method. The apparatus includes: a lane determiner, an obstacle position calculator, a vehicle position corrector, and a lane estimator. The lane determiner compares a first lane detected by a first sensor with a lane on an actual road or a second lane on a local map to determine reliability of the first lane. The obstacle position calculator detects, when the reliability of the detected first lane is less than a preset reference, a first obstacle in the vicinity of a vehicle and a second obstacle on the local map, and calculates a difference between slopes and positions of straight lines extracted from the first obstacle and the second obstacle. The vehicle position corrector corrects a heading direction and a position of the vehicle based on the difference between the slopes and positions of the straight lines. In addition, the lane estimator estimates a driving lane on the local map.

  • Publication number: 20190066936
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a capacitive deionization electrode exhibits enhanced ionic material adsorption efficiency. The method includes (a) kneading an electrode active material while adding a solvent to the electrode active material; (b) adding a solvent to the mixture obtained after (a) and stirring the result; and (c) preparing an electrode slurry by adding a binder to the mixture obtained after (b) and stirring the result. According to the method, a problem of a binder blocking electrode pores, which used to occur when using existing methods, is resolved by increasing mixing efficiency of the binder while using an electrode active material having a high specific surface area. A capacitive deionization electrode having very superior ionic material adsorption efficiency may be manufactured using the method.
