  • Patent number: 6680583
Abstract: An abnormality detection circuit detects abnormality relating to ground fault in secondary winding circuitry of transformer, non-grounding fault of transformer assembly casing or false connection of the AC power source to the transformer assembly in reverse polarity. An interrupter circuit turns a switch off in response to detection of the abnormality by the abnormality detection circuit to interrupt the supply of the AC power to the transformer. When the supply of the AC power is interrupted, the switch is connected to a restart circuit, whereupon the circuit is activated to allow a charging current to flow to a capacitor, which is connected in series in a drive current path of a drive circuit with a time delay on the order of 0.5 to 1.0 second which is determined by a delay circuit thereof. The charging current drives a restoring circuit, which controls the interrupter circuit to its restoring condition temporally so that the switch is turned to its “on” condition only once.

  • Patent number: 6353300
Abstract: In an open roof operating method, when a pulse of a value equal to or greater than a set value is inputted to an ECU when the outputting of motors is stopped, simultaneous operations of respective components are stopped. By adding a sequential non-interference operation flow to a simultaneous operation flow, the interference among respective components under specific conditions can be obviated.

  • Patent number: 6189323
Abstract: In an air conditioner having a plurality of valves for adjusting the flow of refrigerant circulating in an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, and a controller for controlling the opening degree of each of the valves while successively switching the control target value between these valves and a valve control method for the air conditioner, the controller judges whether the opening degree of a currently-operated (controlled) valve which is currently being subjected to the opening degree control operation is coincident with a target value. If the opening degree of the valve reaches the target value even within a predetermined one-operation time set for the valve, the control target valve is immediately switched to a next valve. Further, if the opening degree of the valve does not reach the target valve even after the predetermined one-operation time, the one-operation time is extended to continue the opening degree control operation on the currently-operated valve.

  • Patent number: 6034334
Abstract: A weighing machine, such as a combinational weighing machine, has scale cells and a plurality of dummy cells installed on the same floor. The scale cells output weight signals corresponding to the weights of objects being loaded. The mode of vibrations of the floor is detected from dummy signals from the dummy cells, vertical displacements of the floor at the positions of the scale cells are calculated, and their effects are eliminated from the weight signals. Those of the scale cells not selected after a cycle of combinational calculations can be used as dummy cells in the next cycle. A memory device may be provided to store preferred combinations of such scale cells not selected that may be used for this purpose. Effects of the floor vibrations can be eliminated more accurately if the differences in sensitivity among the cells due to physical characteristics of the individual cells and/or due to the different loads on them can be taken into account either by a feedback calculation or by a formula.

  • Patent number: 6013879
Abstract: A multi-point cell type weighing machine has a plural number of scale cells set on a floor to support a table and to output weight signals indicative of weights measured thereby of a target object placed on the table. One or more floor vibration detecting cells are set on the same floor and output floor vibration detection signals indicative of the vibrations of the floor. The weight signals are corrected on the basis of vibration components of the floor vibration detection signals. A standard weight is placed at a larger plural number of places on the table than there are scale cells and output sensitivity ratios among the scale cells are calculated from outputted values from the scale cells, and the weight signals are further corrected on the basis of the output sensitivity ratios. These weight signals are added together and the weight of the target object is obtained from the added signal.

  • Patent number: 6009939
Abstract: In a distributed air conditioning system capable of controlling cooling or heating by means of a substitute temperature detector when the room temperature detector of a room to be air conditioned is abnormal, room temperatures detected by the temperature detector D2 of an indoor unit 20, the temperature detector D1 of an operation unit 30 and the temperature detector D3 of a monitoring meter 86 for monitoring the environment of the room 85 to be air conditioned are monitored by a central monitoring and control board 50 and the order of selecting the temperature detectors used for the control of cooling or heating is determined. When a temperature detector selected according to the selection order is abnormal, an alarm for the abnormality is displayed by the central monitoring and control board 50 and a temperature detector which is the next in the selection order is selected to control cooling or heating of the indoor unit.

  • Patent number: 5862210
Abstract: A signal detection circuit includes band pass filters for detecting frequency components of a Call Alert signal (CAS) signal, a tone detection circuit for detecting whether or not a signal component is present in the output signals of the band pass filters, and two types of guard time setting circuits that have different guard times. When the CAS signal component is present, a transmitting speech signal is muted. Thereafter, with the guard time setting circuit having the normal guard time, it is determined whether or not the signal component lasts for a predetermined time period. Since the CAS signal is detected with two types of guard times, even if the transmitting speech signal contains a frequency component of the CAS signal, the transmitting speech signal is not mis-detected as the CAS signal.

  • Patent number: RE36411
Abstract: A weighing apparatus has a scale cell and a dummy cell, both similarly structured and cantilevered. A load to be measured is applied to the free end of the scale cell and a standard weight is attached to the free end of the dummy cell. Analog electrical signals from these cells are converted to digital data. The effect of the standard weight is removed from the digital data from the dummy cell to obtain the effect of external vibrations which effect is multiplied by a suitable coefficient dependent on the applied load and subtracted from the digital data from the scale cell.
