  • Patent number: 5835878
Abstract: A feedback calculator and a controller are disclosed which energize a throttle valve driver so that a vehicle speed Vs may be brought into coincidence with a target vehicle speed Vo which is instructed by a driver. The feedback calculator calculates a target acceleration AT on the basis of a vehicle speed Vs and a target speed Vo, and also detects a running acceleration Aa of the vehicle and calculates a deviation of the running acceleration Aa with respect to the target acceleration AT, Ad=AT-Aa. It chooses a high gain G when the deviation Ad is positive and its change dAd is also positive, and chooses a low gain G when the deviation Ad is negative and its change dAd is also negative, thus deriving a controlled variable D having a magnitude which depends on the deviation Ad and the gain G. The controller energizes the throttle valve driver in accordance with the controlled variable D, thus driving the throttle valve for opening or closing at a rate which depends on the controlled variable D.

  • Patent number: 5832308
Abstract: The present invention provides a data transfer device that transfers data via a buffer memory between first and second external interfaces. A FIFO is interposed between the first external interface and the buffer memory. An empty signal is true when the FIFO is empty an empty signal is true and a full signal is true when the FIFO is full. The data transfer device transfers data from the buffer memory to the FIFO when the full signal is false and decrementing a transfer count of data to be transferred. An end signal is set to true when the transfer count reaches zero. An interface device transfers data from the FIFO to the first external interface when the empty signal is false. The data transfer from the FIFO to said first external interface ends when both the end signal and the empty signal area true.

  • Patent number: 5644787
Abstract: The present invention transfers data via a buffer memory between first and second external interfaces, on the basis of table data that is set in a table area by a CPU. The table data comprises a transfer start address, a transfer count, and a transfer count unit selection parameter. A transfer count setting section converts the transfer count on the basis of the original transfer count and the transfer count unit selection parameter, then sets the converted transfer count in a transfer count counter. A data transfer section transfers data within a range specified on The basis of the transfer start address and a count result of the transfer count counter.

  • Patent number: 5569887
Abstract: A weighing device has not only a scale cell which weighs an object and outputs a weight signal indicative of the measured weight value but also a vibration-detecting load cell for detecting the vibrations of the floor to which the scale cell is set such that the effects of the floor vibrations can be subtracted from the weight value detected by the scale cell. The vibration-detecting load cell has attenuation-adjusting members adhesively attached to strain-generating parts of its load-sensitive element such that the attenuation constant of the load cell is thereby increased at least by a factor of 2. The usable dynamic range of the load cell can thus be increased while the load cell is kept compact. Butyl rubber members can be used for this purpose.

  • Patent number: 5117929
Abstract: A weighing apparatus has a scale cell and a dummy cell, both similarly structured and cantilevered. A load to be measured is applied to the free end of the scale cell and a standard weight is attached to the free end of the dummy cell. Analog electrical signals from these cells are converted to digital data. The effect of the standard weight is removed from the digital data from the dummy cell to obtain the effect of external vibrations which effect is multiplied by a suitable coefficient dependent on the applied load and subtracted from the digital data from the scale cell.

  • Patent number: 4954906
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved positioning control system for a hard disk device, wherein a servo burst signal for the head positioning is stored at two points on the circumference of each track of the disk in order to eliminate the recording density, thereby performing fine positioning of a two phase step motor by microstepping. The step motor is connected to a rotary type actuator through a steel belt, thereby moving the head in a radial direction along the disk by driving the step motor. The step motor is excited every .pi./4 (rad) of the two phase electrical phase angle from a positon of .pi./8 (rad) of the two phase electrical phase angle, at the time of exciting. The measurement of the hysteresis of the step motor and the measurement of an off-set value of the step motor are performed at the time of excitement the device, thereby realizing the correction of the measurement of track head deviation from a track center during operation.

  • Patent number: 4767212
Abstract: In a volume determination process, a slit pattern is projected obliquely downwardly, or slit patterns are projected obliquely downwardly and upwardly, onto an article which is at rest or in motion. The slit pattern or patterns are in the form of a parallel stripe pattern or a grid pattern. The surface or surface onto which the slit pattern or patterns are projected are imaged by a television camera, and the heights of slit positions on the article are computed on the basis of the image or images picked up by the television camera. The volume of the article is computed on the basis of the computed heights of the slit positions. The weight of the article can be derived by multiplying the volume by the specific gravity of the article. It is determined whether there is a surface flaw or not by determining whether differentials of the slit pattern or patterns are discrete or not.
