  • Patent number: 6095719
Abstract: With a method for constructing a water intake pipe, a vertical shaft 10 is constructed, and a shield tunnel 12 is constructed by causing a shield driving machine to advance from the vertical shaft 10 toward a seashore by breaking the wall of the vertical shaft 10. The tunnel 12 becomes a water intake pipe after the tunnel is constructed, and is built by annularly assembling segments 14 one after another at the rear side of the shield driving machine in line with the advancement thereof. Two types of segments 14, RC segments 18 and ductile segments 20, are used. The segments 20 are provided with water intake pores clogged by clogging members. After the tunnel 12 is constructed, workmen enter the shield tunnel 12 with compressed air supplied thereinto, and remove the clogging members of the ductile segments 20.

  • Patent number: 6082930
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shield driving machine by which eliminates excessive work of the ground when working at a curved section while suppressing an increase of the sinking of the ground surface and securing a quickening in the stability of segments. In the shield driving machine, a bulkhead 16 is provided at the tip end side of the shield driving machine body 14 of the shield driving machine 10. The chamber 18 which is formed by the bulkhead 16 and has the tip end side open is filled up with excavated earth and sand and is used to oppose the earth pressure and water pressure in the natural ground. A rotating shaft 22 which supports cross-shaped spokes 20 penetrates on the center axis of the bulkhead 16. At the shield driving machine 10, a plurality of openings 24 which discharge a part of the excavated earth and sand supplied from the chamber 18 to the rear side of the shield driving machine body 14 are provided at the hood portion 27.

  • Patent number: 5970591
Abstract: An electronically controlled sample warper having a yarn exchange mechanism is provided which is capable of extremely reducing yarn looseness possibly occurring during yarn exchange as compared with conventional methods, preventing large variations in yarn tension produced when a yarn is removed to improve the quality of warping and significantly improve the speed of yarn exchange, unlike conventional methods which do produce variations in yarn tension during yarn exchange to cause a degraded quality of warping, and eliminating the need for reducing a warping speed even during yarn exchange to largely reduce a warping time, as compared with the case where a conventional yarn exchange mechanism is used.

  • Patent number: 5827080
Abstract: A rotary section current transmitting mechanism includes a rotary member having an outer wall of a circular cross-section and a stationary member provided around the rotary member with separation from the rotary member by ring-shaped space so as to form concentric circles with the rotary member, and having an inner wall of a circular cross-section. The ring-shaped space accommodates a film-shaped wire. Both ends of the film-shaped wire are fixed in the same direction respectively to wire fixing sections of the rotary member and of the stationary member, and the film-shaped wire curves between the both ends. The film-shaped wire has a configuration in which conductors are sandwiched between insulating films. This configuration enables electric current to be stably transmitted from the stationary member to the rotary member which rotates forward and backward within a predetermined angle.

  • Patent number: 5630262
Abstract: An electronically controlled sample warper capable of warping yarns on a warper drum, with windings of the yarns neatly layered one above another in regular order, thus enabling the yarns to be readily rewound on beams on a weaving machine even when the warping length, i.e., the number of multi-windings is relatively large such as four or more windings. The sample warper includes a guide operable to ensure that the yarn for the "n"th winding is wound on the warper drum such that at the beginning of the "n"th winding, the yarn is placed ahead of an end of a winding of yarn formed on warper drum by the "n-1"th winding.

  • Patent number: 5466164
Abstract: This invention provides a connector which can positively effect coupling and detaching of a female connector, prevent electric shock and short-circuiting, and prevent an electric failure arising from contamination by extraneous substances. A lid plate 15 is biased by a compression coil spring 22 so that the lid plate is held by limit projections 26 at a protection position for covering male terminals 12 when a female connector is not coupled to the connector. Even if the lid plate 15 is pushed down by an external force so that the male terminals 12 are exposed from the lid plate 15, it can return to the protection position by itself when the external force is released. Since the lid plate 15 is constrained from rotating circumferentially at the protection position, the male terminal 12 smoothly passes through a terminal-through hole 16 in the lid plate 15 when the female connector 40 is inserted into a hood 13 and then the male terminals 12 are connected to female terminals 43.

  • Patent number: 5396500
Abstract: A logic function block having an output signal potential sensing function is substituted for each of logic function blocks of which fault conditions cannot be detected on the basis of predetermined input/output signal combinations for determining whether or not the semiconductor integrated circuit device operates correctly. Probe lines and sense lines are connected only to the logic function blocks having output signal potential sensing function. The probe lines are driven from a probe line driver, and a sense line receiver reads out signals on the sense lines. Thus, without reducing fault detecting efficiency, the areas of an active region and a wiring region required for forming a fault detecting arrangement can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5389986
Abstract: A camera system on which a remote control device enables photographing with a camera body directed to a user of the remote control device, is controlled by a program of a microcomputer for controlling provided in the camera body. In this program, while the lens direction of the camera body is being shifted by the remote control device, a release signal sent from the remote control device is disregarded. As a result, even if the user pushes a release button by mistake to transmit a release signal, the microcomputer does not accept a remote control release signal while the lens is moving by a remote control drive signal, thereby preventing exposure.
