  • Patent number: 7193975
Abstract: A wireless LAN base station scans frequency channels available for use in a wireless LAN, detects a beacon signal of a near-by wireless LAN base station, and thereby the number of the near-by base stations in the wireless LAN is notified. The notified number of the near-by base stations is recorded in a network table. A wireless LAN base station which should determine a radio channel in the next is determined, based on the recorded number of the near-by base stations, using a wireless LAN base station having a smaller number of the near-by base stations as the starting point of radio channel determining process, after the wireless LAN base station at the starting point determines a radio channel. By repeatedly carrying out the above-described operation, the radio channels of the whole wireless LAN are automatically determined.

  • Patent number: 7158773
Abstract: A wireless LAN base station is provided with a noise signal scanning antenna separately from a wireless signal reception antenna. An attenuation circuit section attenuates the received signal from the noise scanning antenna according to an attenuation factor from an attenuation factor storage section. A distance setting storage section stores a distance between the wireless signal reception antenna and the noise scanning antenna. An attenuation factor storage section holds pieces of data each of which indicates the relationship between the distance between the antennas and an attenuation factor in the form of a table. An attenuation circuit section employs the attenuation factor so as to attenuate the received signal from the noise signal scanning antenna. A subtraction circuit section subtracts an output signal of the attenuation circuit section from the signal from the wireless signal reception antenna, and reduces or eliminates a noise from the received signal from the wireless signal reception antenna.

  • Patent number: 6980804
Abstract: An automatic changeover method of communication networks includes steps (a) to (d). In the step (a), a first station communicates with a second station through a first wireless communication network. In the step (b), the first station measures a first level fluctuation value more than once, wherein the first level fluctuation value indicates a fluctuation degree of electric field intensity of an electromagnetic wave received from the first wireless communication network. In the step (c), the first station calculates a first average level fluctuation value, wherein the first average level fluctuation value is an average of a plurality of the first level fluctuation values. In the step (d), the first station changes over from the first wireless communication network to a second wireless communication network based on the first average level fluctuation value.

  • Publication number: 20050283827
Abstract: Unauthorized access from a network to a terminal is prevented. If a signaling packet received from an external terminal contains a virus, the signaling packet is discarded. If the signaling packet does not apparently contains a virus, an unnecessary part is deleted and the signaling packet is transferred to an internal terminal in response to a polling signal. A port number described in a response packet received from the internal terminal is translated to a different port number. If a session packet received from the external terminal does not conform to a predetermined protocol, the session packet is discarded. If the session packet received from the external terminal conforms to the predetermined protocol, a port number is subject to reverse translation and a resultant session packet is transferred to the internal terminal.

  • Publication number: 20050186315
Abstract: The present invention is directed to provide an apparatus which is capable of continuously and effectively shattering wastes including organic substances and even such wastes as including fat or other doggy substances suspended in a water, without obstructing an operation of the apparatus. The apparatus comprises a cylindrical vertical housing having annular passages partitioned by adjacent two or more substantially concentric cylindrical walls, a water injection device which produces a pressurized water flow so as to supply high-speed water flows tangentially into the annular passages, and a nozzle which is disposed in any one of the cylindrical walls so as to supply a slurry including organic substance particulates into the high-speed water flows and thus untrafinely shatters the organic granular substances into particulates having the size of a few micrometers by cavitation effect and/or shearing effect produced in the high-speed water flows.

  • Publication number: 20050160393
Abstract: A method of automatically correcting mask pattern data includes steps (a) to (d). Here, in this method, the mask pattern data are for producing photo masks used in manufacturing processes of a semiconductor integrated circuit where cells including dummy cells are placed on a semiconductor chip. The step (a) is a process of merging tentatively an assistant mask layer into one of main mask layers. Each of the main mask layers corresponds to one of the photo masks. The assistant mask layer includes first regions, each of which corresponds to one of the dummy cells. The step (b) is a process of checking whether or not the one of main mask layers and the merged assistant mask layer agree with a design rule. The step (c) is a process of replacing the one of main mask layers with another of the main mask layers, into which the assistant mask layer is merged, when a violation against the design rule is found in the step (b).
