  • Patent number: 6904277
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to control incoming data to be received by an appropriate communication destination by using a main device to monitor a traffic state of a wireless LAN and a user login state. A main device (1) for performing call control call control of wireless telephone (8, 8) determines a transmission destination (transfer destination) of a call received from, for example, a traffic state of the wireless-LAN base station (2, 3) or a login state of the wireless telephone, and transmits data to, for example, a public network (6), a local-area network, or an IP telephone network. In addition, the main device (1) preliminarily transmits data-reception notifying mail to a reception destination to enable a user to select a data-receiving method.

  • Publication number: 20050111390
Abstract: When a server has received an Invite Request for a telephone connected to a public telephone line, the server transfers the Invite Request to a gateway terminal. Upon receiving the Invite Request, the gateway terminal originates a call to the telephone. The server inserts a telephone number of the telephone into one of an area other than an area assigned for a URI of the gateway terminal within a start-line of the Invite Request, an area other than the start-line of the Invite Request, and a message other than the Invite Request. The gateway terminal reads out the telephone number of the telephone from one of the area other than an area assigned for a URI of the gateway terminal within a start-line of the Invite Request, the area other than the start-line of the Invite request and the message other than the Invite request and then originates, in a call origination step, a call to the telephone by using the telephone number that has been read out in a readout step.

  • Publication number: 20050105528
Abstract: An adding unit 14 of a broadcasting apparatus 11 attaches entry information to a content to be broadcast. The entry information specifies a content that is identical to the content to be broadcast out of a plurality of contents available for distribution by a distributing apparatus 12. A sending unit 15 of the broadcasting apparatus 11 broadcasts the content with the entry information attached thereto. An entry information recording unit 106 of a recording apparatus 30 records the entry information that is attached to the received content to a hard disk 104, and a requesting unit 107 requests the distributing apparatus 12 to distribute the content specified by the recoded entry information. A content distributing unit 21 of the distributing apparatus 12 receives the distribution request, and distributes the requested content to the recording apparatus 30. The recording apparatus 30 plays back the distributed content.

  • Publication number: 20050099996
Abstract: Voice is input to a voice input and output portion 11. Thereafter, a digital-analog portion converts analog signal of voice into digital data. An RTP port confirming portion confirms whether or not a communication according to the RTP can be made. When the communication according to the RTP cannot be made, with reference to a history table, a port through which a voice data communication can be made is determined. Digitized voice is sent to a call controlling portion. The call controlling portion performs a call control for the voice communication. When the communication according to the RTP can be made, the voice data is sent to an IP communication portion. The IP communication portion paketizes the voice data. Packetized voice data according to the IP is sent to a LAN interface portion. The LAN interface portion outputs the packetized voice data to a network.

  • Publication number: 20040252691
Abstract: A VoIP system has a VoIP server and plural clients. The client transmits paging data as multicast packets addressed at a specific multicast address, to other clients. In response to a request from the client, the VoIP server transmits multicast packets of MOH data to the other clients. At this time, whether the other clients can receive multicast packets is determined. To the clients that are determined to be capable of receiving multicast packets, transmission data is sent in the form of multicast packets. To the client which belongs to a router and is determined to be incapable of receiving multicast packets, the transmission data is sent as unicast packets. It is thus possible for the VoIP system to support paging and MOH in the form of multicast packets, with respect to clients incapable of receiving multicast.

  • Publication number: 20040147272
Abstract: A time-matching system includes a first terminal device and a communications relay device relaying communications between the first terminal device and a second terminal device on a wireless communications network. The first terminal device receives a GPS-data from a GPS satellite, executes a first correction procedure on a satellite time-data of the GPS data to generate a first time-data, and transmits the first time-data to the communications relay device. The communications relay device receives the first time-data, executes an intermediate correction procedure on the first time-data to generate an intermediate time-data, and transmits the intermediate time-data to the second terminal device. The first correction procedure is based on a time delay in communications between the GPS satellite and the first terminal device. The intermediate correction procedure is based on a time delay in communications between the first terminal device and the communications relay device.

  • Publication number: 20040121768
Abstract: An automatic changeover method of communication networks includes steps (a) to (d). In the step (a), a first station communicates with a second station through a first wireless communication network. In the step (b), the first station measures a first level fluctuation value more than once, wherein the first level fluctuation value indicates a fluctuation degree of electric field intensity of an electromagnetic wave received from the first wireless communication network. In the step (c), the first station calculates a first average level fluctuation value, wherein the first average level fluctuation value is an average of a plurality of the first level fluctuation values. In the step (d), the first station changes over from the first wireless communication network to a second wireless communication network based on the first average level fluctuation value.

  • Publication number: 20040122985
Abstract: The wireless LAN access point comprises a CPU, a PCI bus connected to the CPU, a power source section 18 connected to the PCI bus, a wireless LAN interface 16, and a wire LAN interface. Each of the communication interfaces comprises a power switch which can switch ON/OFF an electrification state with the power source section, and a power control device which controls an ON/OFF operation of the power switch based on a control signal from the CPU. The CPU detects unused one of the communication interfaces and supplies a control signal to switch an ON state of the power switch to an OFF state through the PCI bus to the power control device of the unused communication interface. A reduction in size of a power source section to miniaturize a wireless LAN access point, and power/energy saving are achieved.

  • Publication number: 20040117498
Abstract: This invention provides a simultaneous packet transmission system and a simultaneous packet reception system which enable a reception side to receive simultaneous packets without transmitting a retransmission request to retransmit discarded simultaneous packets even if part of simultaneous packets are discarded. A wireless LAN base station multicasts a simultaneous packet which is obtained by allocating a sequence number to a LAN packet a plurality of times. If a wireless LAN terminal receives the same simultaneous packets a plurality of times, the wireless LAN terminal discards duplicated simultaneous packets and leaves only one simultaneous packet. Since the simultaneous packet is multicast a plurality of times, the wireless LAN terminal can receive the simultaneous packet as long as all the same simultaneous packets are not lost.
