With reference to a table having recorded therein prohibited functions that need to be prohibited during execution of the maintenance job, control is performed such that an image processing job that does not use the prohibited functions (Step S15: NO) is executed in parallel with the maintenance job even during execution (Step S16).

Abstract: When a PC as a transmission destination and a shared folder as a saving destination are designated and start of scanning is instructed, a scanner apparatus scans an original, confirms state of activation of the PC and stores the scan data temporarily in a storage unit until the PC is activated. When the PC is activated and transmission becomes possible, the scan data that has been stored in the storage unit is transmitted to the PC and saved in the designated shared folder.

Abstract: A printing system includes an image formation apparatus for executing a print job of forming an image that has been received, and upon completing the print job, transmitting a notification of completion to the print job transmission source, and a client terminal for transmitting, to the image formation apparatus, the image formation print job based on a request from a user, and upon receiving the completion notification, alerting the user that the requested print job has been completed. When the number of print job transmission to the image formation apparatus does not match the number of completion notification receptions from the image formation apparatus, the client terminal prevents alerting the user of completion of the print job. When there is a match, the client terminal alerts the user of the print job completion, which had been prevented.

Abstract: When a user select a file to be processed from a box present in an image formation apparatus a feature of the selected file is extracted. A feature point recording region is searched and data of a previous execution history of a file having a feature point matching that of the selected file is called and displayed. Therefrom the user selects an operation that the user desires to execute for the selected file.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided with a browsing setting table storage portion for storing a keyword specified by a user, an update presence/absence determination portion for retrieving, from information publicized through a server, publicized information that includes updated or newly added contents and that also includes the keyword stored in the browsing setting table storage portion, and a printing control portion for controlling a printing unit to print the publicized information thus retrieved.

Abstract: An image projection system includes a projector to project a projected image onto a drawing surface of a whiteboard, a drawn-image detecting portion to detect a drawn image which is drawn on the drawing surface of the whiteboard while the projector is projecting the projected image, and a modification portion which, in the case where the drawn image is detected, to specify from the projected image which is projected onto the projection surface a part including at least a drawn image part overlapping the detected drawn image, and modify the specified part of the projected image, on the basis of the detected drawn image, so as to emphasize or cancel the drawn image.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus has a storage device provided for a plurality of operators for storing files and run history on the files for each of the plurality of operators. Operators among the plurality of operators can be related. A display device displays information on files which were dealt with by a group including an operator and other operators related to the operator among the plurality of operators when the operator instructs to display the information on files. In a modified example, the information on files is displayed when the operator accesses said storage device.

The display control part selectively displays a setting screen for mode setting and a job list screen displaying a list of jobs. The server acquires a printer driver according to the client information. The application program obtains print data by using the printer driver and sends the print data to the client computer or the printer. Thus, the application program automatically changes the printer driver according to the client information or user.
