  • Patent number: 7555224
Abstract: An all-optical label swapping system and method superimposes a low-speed ASK label on top of a high-speed DC-balanced-line-coded ASK payload. An old ASK label is erased by modulating the combined payload and label signal with the inverse of the received ASK label. This ASK labeling technique requires only low speed external modulators and low speed optical receivers to perform the label swapping mechanism, and does not require sophisticated optical components.

  • Publication number: 20080135843
Abstract: A thin film transistor (TFT) structure is provided. The TFT comprises a gate, a first electrode, a second electrode, a dielectric layer, and a channel layer. By overlapping the area between the first electrode and the gate, the TFT structure acquires a parasitic capacitor that is unaffected by manufacture deviations. Therefore, the TFT needs no compensation capacitor, thereby, increasing the aperture ratio of the TFT.

  • Patent number: 7324089
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved optical device for optical mouse, being installed inside the case body of the optical mouse, comprising: a LED, a lens mount, a sensor and a digital signal processor. That is, instead of using the LED, the LED assembly clip, the positioning holes and the lens mount, which are separated from and independent to one another, for fixing the LED inside the optical mouse, the present invention uses a combined device featuring fool-proof, and positioning-insetting-all-in-one concept can place the LED precisely at the first lens of the lens mount and is capable of installing the LED accurately onto the lens mount and the same time rapidly and effectively adjusting and fixing the relative angle and position as seen in FIG. 6 between the lens mount and the LED. Moreover, the combined device is easy to positioned such that the forgoing shortcomings of high manufacturing cost and difficult to mass-produced are avoided.

  • Patent number: 7037816
Abstract: A method for fabricating a portion of an integrated circuit on a semiconductor substrate. The method includes cleaning the surface of the substrate, and forming a thin insulate over the substrate. The method also includes depositing a high dielectric constant (high-k) material over the thin insulate, and then performing a hydrogen-based anneal on the high-k material. The method further includes performing an oxygen-based anneal on the high-k material, wherein the hydrogen-based and oxygen-based anneals occur sequentially.

  • Patent number: 6817930
Abstract: A sand-filtering device for filtering sands produced by a sandblast machine that includes a housing, a supporting plate, at least one filtering sleeve, a division module and an air pump. The housing is connected to the sandblast machine to receive the sands. The supporting plate is detachably mounted in the housing. The filtering sleeve is hung on the supporting plate. The division module is detachably mounted in the housing. The division module has at least one passage connected to the filtering sleeve. The air pump pumps the sands through the passage into the filtering sleeve so that the sands are filtered by the filtering sleeve. To replace the filtering sleeve, the supporting plate and the division module are detached from the housing and directly thrown away together with the filtering sleeve. That is fast, efficient and safe.

  • Patent number: 6380500
Abstract: The invention includes a switch and sealing arrangement that provides positive sealing and is easy to assemble. The invention includes a switch housing having an upper compartment that is in communication with an exterior of the switch housing and has drainage slots therein. The upper compartment is separated from a lower compartment by an inner base in which a cylindrical barrel extends upwardly from the inner base. The lower compartment of the switch housing receives an electrical contact switch therein that is controlled by an actuator lever that is in contact with a post extending through the cylindrical barrel from a rocker button. A seal is provided that has an outer lip and an inner opening and is mounted on the upwardly extending cylindrical barrel such that the outer lip engages an outer surface of the cylindrical barrel. The post of the rocker button fits into the inner opening of the seal and seals the lower compartment from upper compartment when the rocker button is engaged to the switch housing.
