    Abstract: The exemplary embodiment of the present invention discloses a vehicle-mounted projection method and system. The vehicle-mounted projection system comprises: a transmission module, a processing module and laser display means, wherein the transmission module is used for receiving navigation data; the processing module is used for processing the navigation data to obtain a navigation image; and the laser display means is used for projecting the navigation image onto a specified position on the road surface in front of a vehicle. The vehicle-mounted projection method comprises: receiving navigation data; processing the navigation data to obtain a navigation image; projecting the navigation image onto a specified position on the road surface in front of the vehicle. According to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the navigation image of the vehicle is projected onto the road surface in front of the vehicle, thereby improving visibility and ensuring the projection effect.

A controller is in receipt of inputs from the sensors and is configured to determine whether the secondary vehicle has encroached the safety zone of the subject vehicle or another secondary vehicle. A warning system is configured to warn the driver of the secondary vehicle that the secondary vehicle has encroached the safety zone of the subject vehicle or another secondary vehicle. The controller activates the warning system when the controller determines that the secondary vehicle has encroached the safety zone of the subject vehicle or another secondary vehicle.

    Abstract: A method, system, and processor-readable storage medium are directed towards calculating approximate order statistics on a collection of real numbers. In one embodiment, the collection of real numbers is processed to create a digest comprising hierarchy of buckets. Each bucket is assigned a real number N having P digits of precision and ordinality O. The hierarchy is defined by grouping buckets into levels, where each level contains all buckets of a given ordinality. Each individual bucket in the hierarchy defines a range of numbers—all numbers that, after being truncated to that bucket's P digits of precision, are equal to that bucket's N. Each bucket additionally maintains a count of how many numbers have fallen within that bucket's range. Approximate order statistics may then be calculated by traversing the hierarchy and performing an operation on some or all of the ranges and counts associated with each bucket.
