  • Publication number: 20170124701
Abstract: A system and method for automating the selection of end-diastolic ultrasound frames (EUFs] and regions of interest (ROIs] of the common carotid artery (CCA] to measure the carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT] is provided. The EUFs are selected based on the QRS complex of the ECG signal associated with an ultrasound video, and the ROI is detected based on image intensity and curvature of the carotid artery bulb. The CIMT and a vascular age of a patient is calculated and displayed on a report.

  • Publication number: 20170124103
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a system disk snapshot of a virtual machine comprises: receiving an instruction for creating a snapshot of a virtual machine; determining existence of a power-on state; renaming a top file in a system disk in response to the received instruction if the power-on state exists; creating a new top file in response to renaming the top file, directing dependency of the new top file to the renamed top file and opening the new top file; determining whether a preceding snapshot is created successfully; using the renamed top file as a first snapshot file if the preceding snapshot is successful; and uploading the first snapshot file to a file management server. Accordingly, when a system disk snapshot is created in a power-on state, the snapshot may be created without stopping the virtual machine, thereby reducing requirements for data back up, storage space, and network bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20170116013
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes a processor deploying one or more scripts in a first deployment instance, where the first deployment instance is deployed from a first shared computing environment. The processor determines a difference between the first deployment instance at deployment and the first deployment instance at runtime and based on this determination, selects a first script from the one or more scripts. The processor captures a representation of the first deployment instance and selects a second script, where second script sets up relationships between resources of the first deployment instance in a subsequently deployed deployment instance. The processor utilizes the representation, the first script, and the second script to deploy a second deployment instance from a second shared computing environment.

  • Publication number: 20170109211
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, computer program product, and computer system for reclaiming resources during virtual machine decommission. The method includes determining a virtual machine (VM) resource utilization and a cluster utilization. If the VM resource utilization is less than a first predetermined threshold and the cluster utilization is greater than a second predetermined threshold, the method then determines whether an active timer exists. If the active timer exists and has expired, then dynamic decommission of the VM is triggered.

  • Publication number: 20170111760
Abstract: According to the techniques presented herein, location data from signals transmitted by a plurality of mobile wireless devices in a wireless network are obtained. For each mobile wireless device, location data time points are aggregated to generate a plurality of routines or paths of movement for each mobile wireless device within a predefined space. The predefined space is partitioned into a plurality of units and each routine of the plurality of routines is also partitioned into a plurality of subroutines or segments. For each unit, one or more subroutines within a predefined distance of a frequent subroutine are combined with the frequent subroutine, and the frequent subroutines may be displayed on a graphical interface to visualize aggregate movement of the plurality of mobile wireless devices within the predefined space. Frequent subroutines may be analyzed in an automated manner to generate notifications and alerts.

  • Publication number: 20170085784
Abstract: In an image capturing method via a gesture operation, an image of the gesture operation is captured when a request to take an image via a gesture is made. The captured image of the gesture operation is recognized. An enclosed pattern or a semi-enclosed pattern is determined whether to be included in the captured image. If yes, the captured image is stored and a new image is captured. Then, the new image is compared with the image containing the enclosed pattern or the semi-enclosed pattern. The area of the new image to be displayed, and image object located at the area of the new image to be displayed are determined. A preview image is generated based on the image object located at the area to be displayed and displayed.

  • Patent number: 9598010
Abstract: An alert system for a vehicle includes a tracking device, lighting system, control module, and sensor that can detect hazards. The tracking device can detect a driver's line-of-sight. The lighting system can be disposed about the vehicle and can emit light visible to the driver. The control module can determine a location of the hazard relative to the line-of-sight, and to operate the lighting system in a first mode in response to the hazard being outside of an angular threshold of the line-of-sight, and a second mode in response to the hazard being within the angular threshold. When in the first mode, a first region of the lighting system that corresponds to a general direction of the hazard can be illuminated. When in the second mode, a second region of the lighting system that corresponds to a specific location of the hazard is illuminated.

Abstract: The present invention provides an oligonucleotide composition including a blocker and a first primer oligonucleotide. The blocker oligonucleotide includes a first sequence having a target-neutral subsequence and a blocker variable subsequence. The non-target specific subsequence is flanked on its 3? and 5? ends by the target-neutral subsequence and is continuous with the target-neutral subsequence. The first primer oligonucleotide is sufficient to induce enzymatic extension; herein the first primer oligonucleotide includes a second sequence. The second sequence overlaps with the 5? end of the target-neutral subsequence by at least 5 nucleotides; herein the second sequence includes an overlapping subsequence and a non-overlapping subsequence. The second sequence does not include the non-target specific subsequence.
