    Abstract: The present invention relates to catalytic, nucleic acid nanostmctures that enable versatile detection of RNAs, their use, and devices comprising same. The nanostructure comprises a DNA polymerase enzyme, a DNA aptamer and an inverter oligonucleotide, wherein the DNA aptamer comprising (i) a conserved sequence region for binding to the DNA polymerase enzyme, wherein the binding inactivates the polymerase activity, (ii) a variable sequence region for binding to the inverter oligonucleotide, and (iii) a duplex stabilizer region that lies between the conserved sequence region and the variable sequence region. The present invention also relates to the use of the nanostructure in a method of detection of nucleic acid for diagnosing a disease in a subject.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a control method for a hydraulic retarder, and a control system. The method includes: acquiring a slope of a downhill road segment ahead of a vehicle; determining whether an absolute value of the slope is greater than an absolute value of a slope for which a braking force is not required; if so, predicting a required braking force and oil amount for the vehicle at a steady speed; predicting, according to the oil amount, oil filling time and a distance between the vehicle and an origin of the above road segment at the start time of oil filling of the hydraulic retarder; in the case that the actual distance of the vehicle is equal to a predicted distance, starting oil filling; and upon the vehicle reaching the origin of the road segment, starting braking. The present disclosure can lower wear of brake pads and reduce vehicle running costs.

    Abstract: A display may include illumination optics, a ferroelectric liquid crystal on silicon (fLCOS) panel, and a waveguide. The display may include a temperature sensor that gathers temperature sensor data. Control circuitry may select a non-square wave drive voltage waveform based on the gathered temperature sensor data and/or based on frame history information for the fLCOS display panel. The control circuitry may control the fLCOS panel to produce image light by driving the fLCOS panel using the selected non-square wave drive voltage waveform. The non-square wave drive voltage waveform may be an overdrive waveform or an underdrive waveform. This may serve to optimize the reflectance of the fLCOS display panel and thus the optical performance of the display module regardless of operating temperature and frame history.

The task instruction is divided into a plurality of work stages according to respective mapping locations, and each of the work stages is mapped to one of a transport state and an execution state, so as to establish a semantic hierarchy. A current location of the autonomous vehicle is detected by using the sensor and mapped to one of the work stages in the semantic hierarchy, so as to estimate a current state of the autonomous vehicle.

    Abstract: A display may include illumination optics, a ferroelectric liquid crystal on silicon (fLCOS) panel, and a waveguide. A twisted nematic cell may be optically interposed between the fLCOS panel and the waveguide. A birefringent crystal may be optically interposed between the cell and the waveguide. The cell may have a first state in which the cell transmits the image light with a first polarization and a second state in which the cell transmits the image light with a second polarization. The crystal may transmit the image light within spatially offset beams based on polarization. In another arrangement, a quarter waveplate may be optically interposed between the cell and the waveguide and a geometric phase grating may be optically interposed between the quarter waveplate and the waveguide. Control circuitry may toggle the cell between the first and second states to maximize the effective resolution of images at an eye box.

    Abstract: A device includes a gate electrode and a gate dielectric surrounding the gate electrode. The gate electrode surrounds a nanostructure. The nanostructure includes stacked nanosheets. The gate dielectric is formed by a high-k (HK) material. The HK material covers sidewalls of the gate electrode in a direction aligned to adjacent devices. Portions of the HK material are recessed from the sidewalls and refilled by a dielectric material with a dielectric constant less than the HK material and an electrical isolation capability greater than the HK material. Replacing the HK material over the sidewalls of the gate electrode with the dielectric material enhances electrical isolation between the gate electrode with adjacent contacts. Consequently, it can reduce electrical leakage between metal gate (MG) contacts and metal-to-device (MD) contacts in scaled transistors of an integrated circuit (IC).

The VC/VAC copolymer in the husk plastic composition can allow the composition to be processed by relatively lower processing temperature to save energy consumption, prevent the husk powder from being burnt or decomposed due to high temperature during the heating process to allow this natural material being added in a large amount in the composition and can reduce the amount of PVC through a large amount of filling additives but still maintain in good product mechanical properties.
