  • Publication number: 20110052145
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a recorder. A recorder records repeatedly-fetched object scene images as a moving image. An extractor extracts one portion of the object scene images recorded by the recorder, in parallel with the recording process of the recorder. An evacuator alternatively evacuates a predetermined number, which is an upper limit, of the object scene images extracted by the extractor. An allocator allocates the object scene images evacuated by the evacuator at a time point at which the recording process of the recorder is ended, to the moving image recorded by the recorder. A controller starts up the evacuator at a frequency that is decreased according to an increase in an amount of moving images recorded by the recorder.

  • Publication number: 20100121549
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for controlling acceleration of a vehicle to a target acceleration. In the apparatus, a target acceleration calculator calculates the target acceleration. A provisional acceleration setting unit sets a provisional target acceleration such that a change rate of the provisional target acceleration is limited to a target limitation value. The provisional target acceleration is used during a step during which the acceleration of the vehicle is changed to the target acceleration. A drive power calculator calculates a drive power to obtain the provisional target acceleration. In the provisional acceleration setting unit, an initial value of the provisional target acceleration depends on a running state of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7695076
Abstract: Based on whether a requisite braking torque is less than a drive torque of the driving wheel, braking force is generated for only driving wheels, or braking force is generated for driven wheels, in addition to that for the driving wheels. Thus, it is possible to maintain the creep speed to the target speed and achieve a suitable front and rear braking force distribution on downward slope roads where a gravity impellent is acting on the vehicle, as well as on flat roads and upward slope roads. The ability to achieve such a suitable front and rear braking force distribution ensures that the driven wheels will not easily lock up on a low ? road surface or the like.

  • Publication number: 20100009807
Abstract: In a vehicle control device, a brake feedback control unit calculates a brake feedback torque Tfb-BK using a PID control model when a current state is a brake feedback use state. The brake feedback control unit stops the calculation of the brake feedback torque Tfb-BK when the current state is a brake feedback limitation state, and stores as an output value the brake feedback torque Tfb-BK that is output at a brake limitation start timing. At a brake limitation release timing, the brake feedback control unit restarts the feedback control using the stored brake feedback torque Tfb-BK as an initial value. The brake mechanism can thereby generate a predetermined brake torque of not more than 0 [N·m] immediately after the brake limitation release timing.

  • Publication number: 20090284610
Abstract: A merged image is generated by merging together a first image obtained by shooting with a reduced exposure time, a second image obtained by shooting with an increased exposure time, and a third image obtained by filtering out a high-frequency component from the first image. Here, a merging ratio at which the second and third images are merged together is determined by use of differential values obtained from the second and third images. Also, a merging ratio at which the first image and the second and third images (a fourth image) are merged together is determined by use of edge intensity values obtained from an image based on the first image.

  • Publication number: 20090244308
Abstract: An original image obtained by imaging and a rotated image obtained by rotating the original image are made to be evaluation images. For each of the evaluation images, an inclination of the evaluation image with respect to an axis parallel to a plumb line in the image is evaluated. According to the evaluation result, the original image is rotated/corrected so as to reduce the inclination. More specifically, the horizontal edge components of the evaluation image are calculated in a matrix state and the magnitudes of the horizontal edge components are projected in a vertical direction so as to calculate a vertically projected value QV[n]. The original image is rotated/corrected in the direction to increase the magnitude of the horizontal-direction high-hand component of the vertical projection value QV[n]. The same applies when a horizontally projected value QH[m] corresponding to vertical edge components is used.

  • Patent number: 7587267
Abstract: This apparatus determines that a driver demands the maintenance of a vehicle body speed from a cancel operation (ON?OFF) of an acceleration requiring operation by an accelerator pedal or a cancel operation (ON?OFF) of a deceleration requiring operation by a brake pedal BP, so that it detects a “body-speed-maintenance requiring operation” (at time t1), and stores the vehicle body speed Vso at the point of the detection as a “required maintenance vehicle speed Vref”. When the apparatus determines that the vehicle is on a downhill after the detection of the “body-speed-maintenance requiring operation” (time t2), it feedback-controls the brake hydraulic pressure Pw to thereby start and execute the automatic control (downhill speed control) of the vehicle body speed Vso such that the vehicle body speed Vso is maintained at the required maintenance vehicle speed Vref.
