  • Publication number: 20110191342
Abstract: A URL reputation system may have a reputation server and a client device with a cache of reputation information. A URL reputation query from the client to the server may return reputation data along with probabilistic set membership information for several variants of the requested URL. The client may use the probabilistic set membership information to determine if the reputation server has additional information for another related URL as well as whether the classifications are inheritable from one of the variants. If the probabilistic set membership determines that the reputation server may have additional information, a query may be made to the reputation server, otherwise the reputation may be inferred from the data stored in the cache.

  • Publication number: 20110176309
Abstract: A lamp has a housing and a connecting device. The housing has at least one LED, a connecting section and a through hole. The at least one LED is mounted on the housing. The connecting section protrudes from the housing beside the at least one LED. The through hole of the housing is defined through the connecting section. The connecting device is connected with the connecting section and has a rod section which is mounted through the through hole of the housing. The connecting device allows the lamp to clamp any hand tool or be worn. The light beam emitted from the lamp is kept from being blocked by hands or objects. Therefore, it is convenient to use the hand tool with enough illumination in an awkward or dark place.

  • Patent number: 7966643
Abstract: A method and system for controlling access to files in a remote file system is provided. In one embodiment, a firewall system at a client computer system intercepts requests originating from the client computer system and sent to the remote file system for accessing remote files, that is, files stored on a server computer system. Upon intercepting a remote file access request (e.g., to open a remote file), the firewall system determines whether the file access request should be allowed based on access control criteria.

  • Publication number: 20110102872
Abstract: Disclosed is a polygon mirror device with discontinuous angles of reflections discontinuously to reflect a light beam from a light source with at least one angle. The polygon mirror device with discontinuous angles of reflections comprises a motor connecting with a base to rotate the base around a rotation axis. The base has an axial end surface to form a reference plane. The reference plane is approximately perpendicular to the rotation axis. A plurality of reflectors is positioned on the reference plane circularly around the rotation axis. The reflectors tilt relative to the reference plane with respective angles to form respective included angles. When the base is rotated around the rotation axis, at least one of the reflectors is moved to a reflecting location for receiving the light beam from the light source and reflects the light beam with an angle of reflection to form an image at a specific place.

  • Publication number: 20110089519
Abstract: The invention discloses a chip lead frame and a photoelectric energy transducing module. The chip lead frame includes an insulator and a plurality of conductors. The insulator includes a first surface, a second surface, a first recess structure formed on the first surface, a through hole passing through the second surface and the first recess structure, and a venting structure. The first recess structure forms an accommodating space. The venting structure communicates with the accommodating space so that when a substrate is being bound to the first recess structure, the air in the accommodating space pressed by the substrate could flow through the venting structure out of the insulator without remaining between the substrate and the first recess structure. A photoelectric energy transducing semiconductor structure could be disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the conductors, so as to form the photoelectric energy transducing module of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20110088752
Abstract: The invention discloses a photoelectric energy transducing apparatus, which includes a photoelectric energy transducing module and a semiconductor switch. The photoelectric energy transducing module includes a photoelectric energy transducing semiconductor structure, a first positive electrode, and a negative electrode. The semiconductor switch includes a second positive electrode and a second negative electrode. The second positive electrode is electrically connected to the first negative electrode. The second negative electrode is electrically connected to the first positive electrode. When light radiates onto the photoelectric energy transducing semiconductor structure, an electromotive force is induced between the first positive electrode and the first negative electrode, and the electromotive force provides a reverse bias on the semiconductor switch so that the semiconductor switch is cut off.

  • Patent number: 7927799
Abstract: Prostaglandin-endoperoxide H synthase (PGHS-2) converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2. PGHS-2 is an inducible gene product undetectable in most normal human tissues, but abundant in cancer cells. The present invention exploits a previously undisclosed transcriptional function of PGHS-2 distinct from its well-established enzymatic role to identify potential therapeutic agents useful in treating cancer. The method comprises a DNA binding assay in which PGHS-2 protein binding to the C/EBP, CRE and NF-?B regions of the PGHS-2 promoter in the presence and absence of test compounds is evaluated to identify inhibitors of PGHS-2 transactivation activity.

  • Patent number: 7917674
Abstract: A keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) switch implements a picture-in-picture (PIP) function to allow desktop images from multiple computers to be displayed on the user console monitor. The KVM switch switches a first one of the multiple computers to the user console in a manner. The KVM switch further establishes a desktop sharing and remote control relationship between the first computer and each of the other computers, so that the first computer acts as a client which can see the desktop of the other computers (servers) and control them. The desktop images of the other computers are displayed on the console monitor as windows, which can be moved and re-sized. Audio data from the other computer are also transmitted to the user console. The PIP function is primarily implemented in software and no special video processing hardware is required in the KVM switch.

  • Patent number: 7895249
Abstract: A method of purging cached open files from a client-side delayed close list on a remote file system. The remote file system stores a unique file identifier for each cached open file which is independent of the cached file's namespace. In response to a delete or rename command of a remote target file, the remote file system obtains a target file identifier from the target file's server. The remote file system then compares the target file identifier with each of the cached file's unique file identifier. If a cached file's unique file identifier matches the target file identifier, the cached file is purged from the delayed close list.

  • Publication number: 20110038371
Abstract: A multi-stage switch system includes a line card chassis (LCC) and a fabric card chassis (FCC). The LCC is configured with multiple line cards (LCs) and the FCC is configured with a stage-2 switch element (S2). The multi-stage switch system further includes a first switch combination and a second switch combination. The first switch combination and the second switch combination are configured on the LCC and the FCC respectively, and multiple LCs establish cross communication through the first switch combination, the second switch combination, and the S2. The first switch combination includes a stage-1 switch element (S1) and a first buffer area and the second switch combination includes a stage-3 switch element (S3) and a second buffer area. The multi-stage switch system can forward packets within the chassis by means of buffering the packets when guaranteeing the three-stage packet forwarding, and thus reducing the bandwidth occupancy of the FCC.

  • Publication number: 20100294790
Abstract: A snap hinge compact is provided. The snap hinge compact includes an upper cover and a box body. The upper cover includes a hinge slot configured at one side of the upper cover. The box body includes a recessive slot adapted for correspondingly matching with the hinge slot. The box body includes a hinge shaft disposed in the recessive slot for engaging with the hinge slot. The hinge shaft is rotatably coupled with the hinge slot. The hinge shaft has two ends secured to two sides of an inner wall of the recessive slot, respectively. Comparing with the conventional snap hinge compact, the hinge shaft of the snap hinge compact of the present invention achieves an improved strength. Therefore, when the hinge slot is engaged with the hinge shaft or the upper cover is turned to rotate around the hinge shaft, the hinge shaft is not likely to be broken.
