    Abstract: This application is applicable to a multi-link group addressed traffic transmission method and an apparatus. A first access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) sends group addressed traffic indication information indicating whether each AP of other APs of the AP MLD has a group addressed traffic, so that a station (STA) can learn whether the multiple APs have a group addressed traffic. In this way, each STA of the STA MLD does not need to listen to each AP whether each AP has a group addressed traffic. This reduces power consumption of the STA MLD. This application may be applied to a wireless local area network system that supports an IEEE 802.11ax next-generation Wi-Fi EHT protocol, for example, 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be.

    Abstract: The present application provides a channel access process method in a wireless local area network. The method includes: generating, by a station, a backoff counter value; then performing, by the station, a backoff operation after receiving a first trigger frame, where the backoff operation includes: deducting, from the backoff counter value, a quantity N of subchannels for random access, to obtain a new backoff counter value; and when the new backoff counter value is 0 or a negative number, randomly selecting, by the station, one subchannel from the subchannels for random access, and then accessing the subchannel to send an uplink frame. The present application further provides a corresponding channel access apparatus. Applying the method and the apparatus of the embodiments of the present application improves system access efficiency and avoids a waste of system resources.

The method includes: allocating, by an access point (AP), at least one of a plurality of primary channels to each of a plurality of stations (STAs), where active access is forbidden on the plurality of primary channels; and synchronously scheduling, by the AP, a STA on a channel including at least one idle primary channel, where the synchronously scheduled STA is a STA allocated to the at least one idle primary channel, and the at least one idle primary channel is at least one of the plurality of primary channels. In the embodiments, the AP sets the plurality of primary channels, so that the AP can flexibly schedule the station by using the idle primary channel. This avoids a problem caused by setting only one primary channel, thereby improving data transmission efficiency.

A multi-link association response frame carries radio bitmap information, to indicate an AP allowed to be associated with a radio of a STA MLD or a link allowed to be established by using a radio of a STA MLD, so that the radio subsequently switches between different APs or links. The multi-link association response frame carries link establishment status information, to indicate a link establishment status of each link that the STA MLD requests to establish, so that multi-link establishment is more flexible. The multi-link association response frame carries reassociation information, to indicate whether each parameter in association configuration information is reserved, so that a problem that signaling overheads are relatively large due to a reassociation operation is avoided. It can be learned that, in the multi-link establishment method, the foregoing information is carried to improve multi-link establishment flexibility.
