The method comprises: receiving a first subscription for subscribing a first User Equipment UE reachability event of a UE from an event subscriber, wherein the first subscription comprises a first indicator for indicating whether the first UE reachability event is to be reported in a direct mode or an indirect mode; sending a second subscription for subscribing a second UE reachability event to a second network node that is registered in the first network node, the second subscription comprises a second indicator for indicating that the first UE reachability event is to be directly or indirectly reported to the event subscriber according to the first indicator; and sending a first UE reachability report to the event subscriber.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for event subscription management in a network comprising a set of NF nodes, and corresponding NF nodes. The method implemented at a first NF node includes receiving a subscription request of an event for a user equipment, UE, from a third NF node; transmitting, to a second NF node that serves the UE, a subscription report request for the event for the UE; receiving, from a fourth NF node that currently serves the UE, a UE registration request for the UE, including an indication indicating whether the UE is in a restricted service area; and determining whether to transmit a notification for the event to the third NF node based on the UE registration request. Abstract: Method and apparatus in which a network exposure node receives, from a server, a first request for monitoring communication failure for at least one terminal device. The network exposure node obtains a connection identity (ID) for identifying a connection between the at least one terminal device and the server, based on the received first request. The network exposure node sends, to a subscriber management node or a policy decision node, a second request for monitoring communication failure for the at least one terminal device. The second request includes the obtained connection ID.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include methods for establishing a user-requested protocol data unit (PDU) session in a user's visited public land mobile network (VPLMN), by a session management function (V-SMF) in the VPLMN. Such methods include receiving, from an access and mobility management function (AMF) in the VPLMN, a PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request to establish the PDU session to be routed through the user's home PLMN (HPLMN). The PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request identifies an SMF (H-SMF) in the user's HPLMN. Such methods include sending, to the identified H-SMF, a PDUSession_Create Request to create the PDU session. The PDUSession_Create Request includes an identifier of a session management (SM) context, in the V-SMF, that is associated with the PDU session. Such methods include receiving, from the H-SMF, a PDUSession_Update Request that includes an identifier of an SM context, in the H-SMF, that is associated with the PDU session. Embodiments also include complementary methods performed by the H-SMF.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for DDD status event handling with I-SMF improvement. In one embodiment, a session management function, SMF, node is provided. The SMF node includes processing circuitry configured to receive a subscription request to an event associated with the SMF node where the subscription request includes at least one of a packet detection rule, PDR, information and a Traffic Descriptor, and instruct a user plane function, UPF, node based at least on the subscription request.

Transmission of a first message is initiated (202) towards a network repository function (NRF) node. The first message comprises information indicative of a plurality of criteria and an order of importance of the criteria. The information is for use in assigning priority information to the plurality of first NF nodes. For each first NF node, the priority information is indicative of a priority with which the first NF node is to be selected to provide a service relative to at least one other first NF node of the plurality of first NF nodes and the priority information is assigned based on one or more criteria of the criteria that the first NF node meets and the position of the one or more criteria in the order of importance of the criteria.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for enhancement to an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS). According to an embodiment, an application server (AS) of the IMS receives from a terminal device a first request for initiating a call service and an internet service which are to be integrated with each other. The AS of the IMS sends a second request for initiating the internet service to a gateway server that acts as a gateway to an internet AS capable of providing the internet service. In response to a reply from the gateway server, the AS of the IMS handles the first request based on the reply.
