Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for enhancement to an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS). According to an embodiment, an application server (AS) of the IMS receives from a terminal device a first request for initiating a call service and an internet service which are to be integrated with each other. The AS of the IMS sends a second request for initiating the internet service to a gateway server that acts as a gateway to an internet AS capable of providing the internet service. In response to a reply from the gateway server, the AS of the IMS handles the first request based on the reply.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a serving gateway control plane function to manage a plurality of serving gateway user plane functions, and a mobility management entity to communicate with the serving gateway control plane function. Embodiments may provide a method for the serving gateway control plane function. The method includes: connecting with the plurality of serving gateway user plane functions; storing serving area information of the plurality of serving gateway user plane functions; selecting a first serving gateway user plane function among the plurality of serving gateway user plane functions for a user equipment, according to location of the user equipment and the serving area information of the plurality of serving gateway user plane functions; and sending serving area information of the first serving gateway user plane function to a mobility management entity.

Such embodiments also include sending, to the H-SMF, a second request to create the home-routed PDU session. The second request can include an identifier of a resource in the V-SMF associated with the PDU session; and one or more indicators of whether the V-SMF supports respective one or more features related to receiving, from the H-SMF, an identifier of a resource in the H-SMF that is associated with the PDU session. Abstract: A method at a first node for facilitating a PDU session procedure for a UE in a first communication network, wherein the first communication network is interworking with a second communication network, and a second node supporting the interworking is selected for managing the PDU session, the method comprising: determining an indication which indicates whether the PDU session supports interworking with the second network; and sending the indication to the second node. According to various aspects and embodiments of the method, allocation of resources can be improved and the deployment can be simplified.
