DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS[0045] Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.
[0046] As is illustrated in FIG. 2, a built-in storage device 100 according to the present invention, for example, a refrigerator 100 is accommodated a cabinet 200.
[0047] The cabinet 200 comprises a containing part 201, having a space to accommodate the refrigerator 100, and a cabinet opening 203 provided at a front side of the containing part 201.
[0048] As is shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the built-in refrigerator 100 comprises: a main body 101 accommodated in the containing part 201 of the cabinet 200, having a storage compartment 103 for food; a door 105 opening and closing the storage compartment 103 in the main body 101; a cover part 110 disposed in front of the door 105; a cover bracket 111 combined to the cover part 110; a door bracket 120 combining the door 105 and the cover bracket 111; and a first combining unit 130 connecting the cover bracket 111 and the door bracket 120, to adjust a space between the cover part 110 and the door 105.
[0049] The door 105 is combined to a backside of the cover part 110, and according to one aspect, is provided plurally, corresponding to the number of storage compartments 103 in the main body 101.
[0050] A hinge part 205 rotatably connects the cover part 110 to a side of the cabinet 200. Therefore the door 105 combined to the backside of the cover part 110 opens and closes the storage compartment 103 of the main body 101 when the cover part 110 opens and closes the cabinet opening 203 of the cabinet 200.
[0051] The door bracket 120 comprises a first door bracket 121 combined to the door 105, and a second door bracket 123 extended from the first door bracket 121, combined to the cover bracket 111.
[0052] The first door bracket 121 is plate-shaped, disposed along a top edge 106 of the door 105, and combined to the top edge 106 by screws 126.
[0053] According to one aspect, the second door bracket 123 forms a pair, that extends from the first door bracket 121 in parallel with a plane of the cover bracket 111, and is combined to the cover bracket 111 by the first combining unit 130. According to one aspect, each of the second brackets 123 has a first screwing hole 124 engaged by a first control screw 131 of the first combining unit 130, and a first through hole 125, through which a second control screw 133 of the first combining unit 130 passes.
[0054] According to one aspect, a diameter of the first through hole 125 is bigger than a thread of the second control screw 133, to make the door bracket 120 movable therein, but is smaller than a head of the second control screw 133, to prevent the head of the second control screw 133 from passing therethrough.
[0055] Engaged with the second door bracket 123, the first combining unit 130 combines the cover bracket 111 and the second door bracket 123, and controls a distance between the cover bracket 111 and the second door bracket 123. The first control screw 131 controls the distance between the cover bracket 111 and the second door bracket 123, having a leading end in contact with the cover bracket 111; and the second control screw 133 penetrates the first penetrating hole 125 of the second door bracket 123, combining the second door bracket 123 to the cover bracket 111.
[0056] The first control screw 131 comprises a thread part engaging the first screwing hole 124 of the second door bracket 123, and a head part positioned at one end of the thread part. The leading end, positioned at an opposite end of the thread part of the first control screw 131, contacts a side of a first cover bracket 113 of the cover bracket 111. By turning the first control screw 131, therefore, the distance between the cover bracket 111 and the second door bracket 123 is controlled.
[0057] The second control screw 133, with a shape similar to the first control screw 131, engages the second screwing hole 114, disposed in the first cover bracket 113 of the cover bracket 111, while penetrating the first penetrating hole 125. By turning the second control screw 131, the cover bracket 111 is combined to the second door bracket 123.
[0058] The cover bracket 111 has the first cover bracket 113, which is combined to a backside of the cover part 110, and a second cover bracket 115 extended from the first cover bracket 113 toward the door 105. According to one aspect of the first embodiment of the present invention, the built-in refrigerator 100 further comprises a second combining unit 140 combining the first door bracket 121 and the second cover bracket 115, to control the distance between the first door bracket 121 and the second cover bracket 115. According to one aspect, the second combining unit 140 forms a pair.
[0059] The first cover bracket 113 is a long plate, is screwed to the backside of the cover part 110, and has the second screwing hole 114 to engage the second control screw 133.
[0060] According to one aspect, the second cover bracket 115 forms a pair, extending toward the door 105, from the first cover bracket. Each of the second cover brackets 115 has a second through hole 117, through which third control screws 141 of the respective second combining units 140 pass.
[0061] According to one aspect, a diameter of the second through hole 117 is bigger than a thread of the third control screw 141, to make the door bracket 120 movable therein, but is smaller than that of a nut 143 and that of an auxiliary nut 145 of the second combining unit 140, to prevent the nut 143 and the auxiliary nut 145 from passing therethrough.
[0062] Each of the second combining units 140 comprises: the third control screw 141, which is combined to the respective second cover bracket 115, penetrating the second through hole 117 of the second cover bracket 115; and the nut 143 and the auxiliary nut 145, which engage the third control screw 141.
[0063] A head of the third control screw 141 is attached to a side of the first door bracket 121, and the thread penetrates the second through hole 117 of the second cover bracket 115.
[0064] The nut 143 engages the thread of the third control screw 141 that penetrates the second through hole 117 of the cover bracket 115, and combines the second cover bracket 115 and the first door bracket 121, thereby controlling the distance between the second cover bracket 115 and the first door bracket 121.
[0065] Prior to penetrating the second through hole 117 and engaging the nut 143, the third control screw 141 engages the auxiliary nut 145. Thus, after the auxiliary nut 145 engages the third control screw 141, the third control screw 141 penetrates the second through hole 117, and the nut 143 engages the third control screw 141, the auxiliary nut 145 and the nut 143 oppose each other on opposite sides of the second cover bracket 115, to maintain a predetermined distance between the second cover bracket 115 and the first door bracket 121.
[0066] The built-in refrigerator 100 according to the first embodiment of the present invention comprises the door bracket 120 on the top edge 106 of the door 105, and further comprises: at least one supporting bracket 150 combining a bottom edge 107 of the door 105 and the cover part 110; and a third combining unit (to be described later) combining the door 105 and the supporting bracket 150 so as to control a distance between the door 105 and the supporting bracket 150. In one embodiment, the supporting bracket 150 is disposed on the top edge 106 of the door 105, and the door bracket 120 is disposed on the bottom edge 107 of the door 105.
[0067] As is shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the supporting bracket 150 includes a first supporting bracket 151 combined to the cover part 110, and a second supporting bracket 153 extended from the first supporting bracket 151 and combined to the bottom edge 107 of the door 105. According to one aspect, the supporting bracket 150 is disposed on the bottom edge 107 of the door 105 in a pair.
[0068] According to one aspect, the first supporting bracket 151 is combined to the backside of the cover part 110 by screws 154.
[0069] According to one aspect, the second supporting bracket 153 is bent from the first supporting bracket 151, and is parallel with the bottom edge 107 of the door 105, and has a third through hole 155, through which a fourth control screw 161 passes, thereby defining the third combining unit.
[0070] According to one aspect, a diameter of the third penetrating hole 155 is bigger than a thread of the fourth control screw 161, to make the fourth control screw 161 movable within a predetermined distance, but is smaller than a head of the fourth control screw 161 to prevent the head of the fourth control screw 161 from passing through the third penetrating hole 155.
[0071] The third combining unit combines the door 105 and the second supporting bracket 153, and controls the distance between the door 105 and the second supporting bracket 153. The third combining unit is the fourth control screw 161, which is screwed to the bottom edge 107 of the door 105, penetrating the third through hole 155 of the second supporting bracket 153. Therefore, the supporting bracket 150 and the third combining unit 161 support the bottom edge 107 of the door 105, making the bottom edge 107 of the door movable within the predetermined distance from the cover part 110.
[0072] With this configuration, a combination and a control process of positioning the cover part 110 with respect to the door 105 of the built-in refrigerator 100, according to the first embodiment of the present invention, are described as follows, with reference to FIGS. 2-8B.
[0073] At first, the containing part 201 of the cabinet 200 accommodates the main body 101 of the built-in refrigerator 100. Then, the cover bracket 111 is screwed to the backside of the cover part 110, which is installed on the door 105 corresponding to the storage compartment 103 of the main body 101. The top edge 106 of the door 105 and the first door bracket 121 of the door bracket 120 are combined with the screws 126. Thereafter, the first combining unit 130 combines the cover bracket 111 and the door bracket 120.
[0074] To combine the cover bracket 111 and the door bracket 120, the first control screw 131 is screwed to the first screwing hole 124 of the second door bracket 123 until the end of the first control screw 131 reaches the first cover bracket 113. The second control screw 133 passes through the first through hole 125 of the second door bracket 123, and is then screwed to the second screwing hole 114 of the first cover bracket 113. At this point, the distance between the second door bracket 123 and the first cover bracket 113 can be controlled by rotation of the first control screw 131 and the second control screw 133 (the first combining unit 130). That is, to increase the distance between the second door bracket 123 and the first cover bracket 113, the first control screw 131 is advanced toward the first cover bracket 113, while loosening the second control screw 133. Contrarily, to decrease the distance between the second door bracket 123 and the first cover bracket 113, the first control screw 131 is loosened, while advancing the second control screw 133 toward the first cover bracket 113 (refer to FIG. 6).
[0075] Thus, the distance between the second door bracket 123 and the first cover bracket 113 is easily controlled, so that the storage compartment 103 of the main body 101 can be opened and closed, properly.
[0076] The second cover bracket 115 of the cover bracket 111 and the first door bracket 121 of the door bracket 120 are combined by means of the second combining unit 140. The combination process with the second combining unit 140 is performed such that the third control screw 141 of the first door bracket 121 is engaged with the auxiliary nut 145, and then penetrates the second through hole 117 of the second cover bracket 115. Thereafter, the nut 143 engages the third control screw 141, and then the auxiliary nut 145 and the nut 143 are fastened until they reach the second cover bracket 115. At this point, the distance between the first door bracket 121 and the second cover bracket 115 can be controlled by means of the nut 143 and the auxiliary nut 145. That is, to increase the distance between the first door bracket 121 and the second cover bracket 115, the auxiliary nut 145 and the nut 143 are rotated such that the first door bracket 121 is moved away from the second cover bracket 115. Contrarily, to decrease the distance between the first door bracket 121 and the second cover bracket 115, the auxiliary nut 145 and the nut 143 are rotated such that the first door bracket 121 is moved toward the second cover bracket 115 (refer to FIGS. 7A and 7B).
[0077] Thus, the second combining unit 130 enables the storage compartment 103 of the main body 101 to be suitably opened and closed by moving the door 105 up and down, relative to the cover part 110.
[0078] The door bracket 120 and the second door bracket 123 can be moved relative to the cover bracket 111, because the diameter of the first through hole 125 is bigger than the of the second control screw 133, and the second through hole 117 of the second cover bracket 115 is bigger than the thread of the third control screw 141. Hence, the door bracket 120 can be moved right and left, relative to the cover bracket 111, by virtue of the first through hole 125 and the second through hole 117, as described above (refer to FIGS. 8A and 8B).
[0079] Thus, the first through hole 125 and the second through hole 117 enable the storage compartment 103 of the main body 101 to be properly opened and closed by moving the door 105 right and left relative to the cover part 110.
[0080] Because the third through hole 155 of the supporting bracket 150 is larger in diameter than the thread of the fourth control screw 161, the bottom edge 107 of door 105 is movable relative to the cover part 110.
[0081] Thus, the supporting bracket 150 and the fourth control screw 161 enable the bottom edge 107 of the door 105 to be movably supported relative to the cover part 110.
[0082] As is illustrated in FIGS. 9 and 10, according to one aspect, the built-in refrigerator 100 further comprises a door bracket cover 170 combined with the cover bracket 111 and the door bracket 120.
[0083] The door bracket cover 170 is supported by the cover bracket 111 at one side thereof, and is supported by the door bracket 120 at the other side thereof, to allow the door bracket 120 to be movable within a predetermined distance relative to the cover bracket 111. The door bracket cover 170 has a first supporting part 171 supported by a first supporting plate 118, extended from the first cover bracket 113; and a second supporting part 173 supported by a second supporting plate 127 disposed on both end sides of the first door bracket 121.
[0084] Thus, the door bracket cover 170 covers the door bracket 121 and the cover bracket 111, thereby preventing these two brackets 121 and 111 from being exposed outside as the door 105 is opened and closed, in other words, as the bracket 121 moves relative to the cover bracket 111. Hence the door bracket 170 cover improves the appearance.
[0085] As is shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, according to one aspect, the built-in refrigerator 100 further comprises a supporting bracket cover 180 combined with the supporting bracket 150.
[0086] The supporting bracket cover 180 includes a cover base 181 disposed between the supporting bracket 150 and the cover part 110; and a rotating cover body 183 rotatably combined to the cover base 181, and covering the supporting bracket 150.
[0087] According to one aspect, a film hinge 187 connects the rotating cover body 183 and the cover base 181, so that the rotating cover body 183 can rotatably combined to the cover base 181. A hook 185 disposed on the rotating cover body 183, and a hook holder 182 disposed on the cover base 181 accommodating the hook 185, are provided for the combination of the cover base 181 and the rotating cover body 183. According to one aspect, the rotating cover body 183 comprises a fourth through hole 184, so that the thread of the fourth control screw 161 can pass through the through hole 184 after the rotating cover body 183 is combined to the cover base 181.
[0088] Therefore, the supporting bracket cover 180 covers the supporting bracket 150, thereby preventing the supporting bracket 150 from being exposed outside, and improving the appearance. Also, according to one aspect, the fourth control screw 161 can pass through the fourth through hole 184 with ease, without separating the rotating cover body 183 from the cover base 181.
[0089] FIG. 13 is a perspective view of the door 105 and the cover part 110 of the built-in refrigerator 100 according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
[0090] As FIG. 13 illustrates, the door bracket 120 is disposed on the top edge 106 and the bottom edge 107 of the door 105. That is, rather than the supporting bracket 150 of the first embodiment, the door bracket 120 is disposed on the bottom edge 107 of the door 105, instead.
[0091] Though the door bracket 120 and the supporting bracket 150 are combined to the top edge 106 of the door 105 and the bottom edge 107 of the door 105 respectively in the above-described embodiments, according to one embodiment, the door bracket 120 and the supporting bracket 150 are combined to side edges of the door 105.
[0092] As is described above, according to the present invention, the built-in refrigerator 100 can control the distance between the door 105 and the cover part 100, to open and/or close the storage compartment 103 of the main body 101.
[0093] In addition, the door 105 can be moved up and down by the second combining unit 140 and right and left by the first and the second through holes 125 and 117, relative to the cover part 110.
[0094] Also, the door bracket cover 170 and the supporting bracket cover 180 provide a fine appearance.
[0095] Although a few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the claims and their equivalents.
