BOTTLE CAP

The present invention concerns a bottle cap containing heterogeneous materials including a main body attached to a container mouth and an activating upper cap that is assembled on an upper mouth of said main body. Rotation of said upper cap turns a prefabricated receptacle attached to the lower portion of said upper cap, opening a seal formed on the lower portion of said main body and concurrently allowing the heterogeneous materials contained inside said receptacle to drop inside the container. Said main body has a space formed at an outer part of the lower portion of said seal, and a cut line separator formed at the bottom of said receptacle is disposed within said space. Said receptacle is connected to the bottom of said upper cap. Rotation of said upper cap turns said receptacle so that said cut line separator formed at the bottom of said receptacle breaks a cut line that starts from said space, resulting in said cut line separator pushing said seal down and allowing the heterogeneous materials contained in said receptacle to drop and mix with the contents of the container.

Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a bottle cap for containing a different material in a storage space of an accommodation part.

BACKGROUND ART

US2008/0124432 discloses a bottle cap. If an upper cap of the disclosed bottle cap is rotated, a long cutting line breaking extension extending from the bottom side of the upper cap breaks a cutting line of a lower cut-out part, and then at the same time the cut-out part is opened so that contents filled in an storage space can fall to the inside of a container and be mixed with contents filled in the container.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Technical Problem

In the related art, the bottle cap disclosed in US2008/0124432 has the following problems.

When the upper cap is opened, a large force is necessary to cause the cutting line breaking extension to break the cutting line of the cut-out part.

Furthermore, in the bottle cap disclosed in US2008/0124432, since a cylindrical accommodation part extending from the bottom side of the upper cap is formed in one piece with the upper cap, it is difficult to increase the size of the accommodation part.

In addition, although a cutting line of a closing part should have a sufficient thickness for sealing, if the cutting line is too thick, it is difficult to break the cutting line using the cutting line breaking extension. That is, it is difficult to make the cutting line thick. The present invention is provided to address the above-mentioned problems.

Technical Solution

To solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a bottle cap including: a main body that can be coupled to a container spout of a container; a cut-out part disposed on an inner bottom side of the main body and separable along a cutting line; and a main body spout at an upper side of the main body to accommodate an breaking upper cap.

The upper cap is coupled in a manner such that the upper cap can be rotated or vertically moved in alignment with the main body spout.

In addition, an annular rim is formed on an upper end of an accommodation part and is engaged with a corresponding annular protrusion of the upper cap.

In addition, a storage space is formed in the accommodation part, and a long cutting line breaking extension extends downward from a side of the accommodation part. The cutting line breaking extension is disposed in a recess formed in a portion of the cut-out part of the main body.

In addition, the cutting line is formed in an annular shape on the cut-out part and has a non-cut portion at a 360-degree position which remains in a non-cut state when the cutting line breaking extension is rotated almost 360 degrees. Preferably, the cutting line may be formed of a soft resin (for example, silicone) by a double injection molding method.

According to an aspect, to easily break the cutting line with the cutting line breaking extension, the direction, depth, or width of a groove of the cutting line may be varied. In addition, an additional material may be added to the cutting line by bonding or double injection molding.

In another aspect, the main body of the bottle cap may be coupled to the container spout of the container by pushing the main body to the container spout, and the accommodation part including the storage space may be formed in one piece with the main body. An operation part that can be openable by a vertical motion may be provided on the upper main body spout of the main body.

The cut-out part may be coupled to an outside position of the accommodation part by an injection motion to seal the storage space. If the main body is rotated after the bottle cap is coupled to the container, the cutting line of the cut-out part may be broken in a state where a main part of the cut-out part is not moved because the main part is firmly coupled to the container spout.

According to another aspect, the bottle cap may include: an inner coupling part configured to be coupled to the container; and a closing part disposed on a bottom side of the inner coupling part and separable along a cutting line, wherein if the main body is rotated, the cutting line may be broken by a long cutting line breaking extension extending downward from an inner bottom side of the main body so that contents filled in a storage space can fall to the inside of the container.

When the bottle cap is coupled to the container, the inner coupling part may be coupled to the container spout of the container through a wedge protrusion formed on an inner wall of a side part of the main body. When the bottle cap is opened, as the wedge protrusion formed on the inner wall of the main body is moved over a wedge protrusion formed on the inner coupling part, the main body may be rotated on the inner coupling part to cause the cutting line breaking extension to break the cutting line.

In addition, the bottle cap may include a connection part for preventing careless opening by children. The connection part may have a concave-convex shape. For example, the connection part may be normally released, and if the topside of the main body is pressed, the connection part may be connected to open the inner coupling part from the container spout.

According to another aspect, in the bottle cap, the storage space may be opened at the top side of the upper cap, and a discharge operation part may be disposed on the top side of the upper cap. In this case, a mixture formed by adding contents filled in the storage space to contents filled in the container may be discharged using the discharge operation part without opening the bottle cap from the container.

According to another aspect, if the upper cap of the bottle cap is rotated, a breaking member may be moved down to break the cutting line of the closing part.

According to another aspect, a long cutting actuation part may extend at an inner upper side of the cutting line to use the cutting actuation part for breaking the cutting line. If the cutting actuation part is forcibly pushed down by the cutting line breaking extension of the upper cap, the cutting line may be broken.

According to another aspect, an operation part may be coupled to the main body spout of the main body, and if the operation part is rotated, a cutting line breaking extension extending from the bottom side of the operation part may break the cutting line of the closing part that closes the storage space.

Advantageous Effects

Since the accommodation part is coupled to the inside of the upper cap, the storage space of the accommodation part can be increased in size.

In addition, since the cutting line of the closing part is reinforced by an additional soft resin, sealing can be significantly improved.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. A main body 100 of a bottle cap 1 is shaped to be coupled to a container spout 501 of a container 500; an cut-out part 101 separable at a cutting line 102 is disposed at a lower side of the main body 100; and a main body spout 104 is provided at an upper side of the main body 100 to receive an operable upper cap 200.

The upper cap 200 is assembled to the main body spout 104 in such a manner that the upper cap 200 can be rotated on the main body spout 104 or vertically moved on the main body spout 104, and an accommodation part 300 is assembled to the bottom side of a top surface part 201 of the upper cap 200.

An annular rim 301 is formed on the upper end of the accommodation part 300 so as to be engaged with a corresponding annular protrusion 202 of the upper cap 200.

A storage space 302 is formed in the accommodation part 300; a long cutting line breaking extension 303 extends downward at a side of the accommodation part 300; and the cutting line breaking extension 303 is placed in a recess 103 formed at a side of the cut-out part 101 of the main body 100.

The cutting line 102 formed in an annular shape around the cut-out part 101 has a non-cut portion at a position that the cutting line breaking extension 303 approaches after being rotated almost 360°. Preferably, the cutting line 102 may be formed of a soft synthetic resin (e.g., silicone) by a double injection molding method.

In the present invention, liquid or powder is put in the storage space 302 of the accommodation part 300 through the bottom side of the accommodation part 300, and the main body 100 is coupled with the accommodation part 300 being at a center position. Then, the cutting line breaking extension 303 is placed in the recess 103.

Preferably, a thin thread 105 may be formed on an outer annular portion of the main body spout 104, and a thin thread 204 may be formed on a corresponding inner wall portion of a side part 203 of the upper cap 200, so that when the upper cap 200 is coupled to the main body spout 104 by aligning the upper cap 200 with the main body spout 104 and pushing the upper cap 200, the thin thread 204 can move over the thin thread 105 of the main body spout 104.

Gas such as nitrogen may be filled in the storage space 302 of the main body spout 104 so as to improve keeping quality of contents placed in the storage space 302, and the main body 100 of the main body spout 104 may be aligned with the container spout 501 of the container 500 and coupled to the container spout 501 using a series of mechanical devices.

When using the bottle cap 1, if the upper cap 200 is rotated on the main body spout 104, the cutting line breaking extension 303 escapes from the recess 103 to break the cutting line 102 and pushes the cut-out part 101 downward.

The cutting line breaking extension 303 can break the cutting line 102 because the cutting line 102 extends upward in a rotation direction of the cutting line breaking extension 303, and smooth protrusions may extend inward from the cutting line 102 so that the cutting line 102 can be easily cut by the cutting line breaking extension 303.

In addition, when the closing part 101 is opened, a fixing protrusion 106 is elastically released from an elastic part 106 of the main body 100, and then the fixing protrusion 106 is not returned due to an outer annular portion of the elastic part 107. Thus, contents placed in the storage space 302 can easily fall to an inner storage space of the container 500.

In the above-described operation, the upper cap 200 may easily be rotated owing to the threads 105 and 204. However, the threads 105 and 204 may be minimally sized or shaped, and a hook part 205 may be formed on a lower end of the side part 203 of the upper cap 200 so as to couple the hook part 205 to a jaw of the main body spout 104 for preventing the upper cap 200 from being separated from the main body spout 104.

When discharging a mixture from the container 500, the main body 100 may be detached from the container spout 501 of the container 500, or the upper cap 200 may be detached from the main body spout 104.

An additional discharge structure may be provided on the top surface part 201 of the upper cap 200 to discharge the mixture from the container 500 without separating the upper cap 200 or the main body 100 from the container spout 501, and the discharge structure may be a vertically operable push-pull cap that is well-known in the art.

In an exemplary method, the bottle cap 1 may be assembled as follows: the accommodation part 300 is aligned with and coupled to the main body spout 104 of the main body 100; contents is filled in the storage space 302 of the accommodation part 300; and the upper cap 200 is aligned with and coupled to the main body spout 104 in such a manner that the annular protrusion 202 of the upper cap 200 is engaged with and fixed to the annular rim 301 of the accommodation part 300 for sealing between the upper cap 200 and the accommodation part 300.

As shown in FIGS. 2, 3, 4, and 5, the cutting line 102 may have a groove, and the groove may have various widths.

Alternatively, an upper cap 200 and an accommodation part (R) may be formed in one piece with an opened topside, and an accommodation part cover (C) may be hermetically coupled to the opened topside. In this case, the accommodation part (R) may be wider at an inner upper side than an inner lower side.

In another embodiment (refer to FIG. 7), a content discharge structure may be provided on a top surface part 201 of an upper cap 200. In addition, as shown in FIG. 7, an operation part 400 may be provided on a main body spout 104 of a main body 100 to discharge mixed contents from a container 500.

For example, as shown in FIG. 7, in a bottle cap 1 with the operation part 400, a cut-out part 101 capable of being coupled to and fixed to a container spout 501 is coupled to the main body 100 including a cutting line breaking extension 109 located in a recess 103 of the cut-out part 101.

Since a thread is not formed on a side part 108 of the main body 100 of the bottle cap 1, the bottle cap 1 can be coupled to the container spout 501 by pushing the bottle cap 1 on the container spout 501. When using the bottle cap 1, if the main body 100 is rotated, the cutting line breaking extension 109 breaks a cutting line 102 in a state where the main body 100 is not separated from the container spout 501, so that contents can fall from a storage space 110 to the inside of the container 500 so as to be mixed with contents filled in the container 500.

The mixed contents can be discharged after removing an upper cover 450 and lifting the operation part 400 to open a discharge hole. The operation part 400 is not illustrated in a separate drawing because those skilled in the art may know the structure of the operation part 400. The operation part 400 may open the discharge hole by a method such as a vertical operation, a rotational operation, or a hinge-based operation.

In another embodiment (refer to FIG. 8), a bottle cap 1 includes an inner coupling part IR configured to be coupled to a container spout 501 of a container 500, and a closing part 101 disposed at a lower side of the inner coupling part IR and separable along a cutting line 102, wherein if a main body 100 is rotated, the cutting line 102 is broken by a cutting line breaking extension 109 extending downward from an inner portion of the main body 100, and the closing part 101 is opened to allow falling of contents from a storage space 110 to the inside of the container 500.

When coupling the bottle cap 1 to the container 500, a container spout corresponding part 112 having a stop jaw in one direction is elastically moved over a jaw formed in one direction on an upper inner wall of the container spout 501. When the bottle cap 1 is opened, the inner coupling part IR is not moved owing to the container spout corresponding part 112 but the main body 100 is rotated so that the cutting line 102 is broken by the cutting line breaking extension 109.

During the above description operation, contents filled in the storage space 110 falls to the inside of the container 500 and are mixed with contents filled in the container 500, and if the bottle cap 1 is further rotated, the inner coupling part IR escapes from the inner wall of the container spout 501 and is separated from the container 500 together with the main body 100 in a state where the inner coupling part IR is caught on a closing part fixing protrusion 111.

In another embodiment (refer to FIG. 8), an inner coupling part IR coupled to an inside portion of a main body 100 of a bottle cap 1 can be coupled to a container spout 501, and a content discharge operation part 400 is disposed on a main body spout 104 of the main body 100. A long cutting line breaking extension 109 extends downward from a lower side of the main body spout 104.

When the bottle cap 1 is coupled to a container 500, a wedge protrusion formed on an inner wall of a side part of the main body 100 is coupled to the inner coupling part IR, and the inner coupling part IR is coupled to the container spout 501 of the container 500. When the bottle cap 1 is opened, the wedge protrusion formed on the inner wall of the main body 100 is freely moved over a wedge protrusion formed on the inner coupling part IR, and the main body 100 is rotated on the inner coupling part IR so that a cutting line 102 of a cut-out part 101 can be broken by the cutting line breaking extension 109.

In addition, the bottle cap 1 includes connection parts (J) so that children cannot carelessly open the bottle cap 1. The connection parts (J) may have a concave-convex shape. The connection parts (J) may normally be separate from each other, and if the topside of the main body 100 is pressed, the connection parts (J) may be connected to allow detachment of the inner coupling part IR from the container spout 501.

In another embodiment (refer to FIG. 10), a discharge operation part 400 is provided on an upper cap spout 208 of an upper cap 200 of a bottle cap 1 to open a storage space 207 so that a mixture formed by adding contents of the storage space 207 to contents filled in a container 500 can be discharged without detaching the bottle cap 1 from a container spout 501.

A closing part 101 separable along a cutting line 102 is provided on a lower side of a main body 100, and a cutting line breaking extension 206 extending from the upper cap 200 is disposed in a recess 103 formed in the closing part 101.

When using the bottle cap 1, if the upper cap 200 of the bottle cap 1 is rotated, the cutting line breaking extension 206 breaks the cutting line 102, and a different material filled in the storage space 207 falls into the container 500 and is mixed with contents filled in the container 500. The mixture can be discharged through the discharge operation part 400 provided on top of the upper cap 200.

For example, the operation part 400 may be opened and closed through vertical movement, rotation, or swing on a hinge.

In another embodiment (refer to FIG. 11), unlike the bottle cap 1 shown in FIG. 10, a bottle cap 1 does not include an additional discharge operation part on an upper cap 200, and a cutting line 102 may be formed on the bottle cap 1 by a double injection molding method.

In another embodiment (refer to FIG. 12), a breaking member 460 is coupled to a main body spout 104 of a main body 100 to break a cutting line 102 of a cut-out part 101. Also, the breaking member 460 is coupled to an inner side of an upper cap spout 208 of an upper cap 200. When the upper cap 200 is opened, a cutting line breaking extension 461 is moved down along a guide protrusion 113 formed on an outer annular side of the cut-out part 101 separable along the cutting line 102 to break the cutting line 102.

At this time, a different material filled in a storage space 110 falls to the inside of a container 500 through a passage formed as the closing part 101 is broken and is mixed with contents filled in the container 500. Then, if a cover 450 is removed and the container 500 is pressed, a closing part 470 is opened, and the mixture can be discharged through an upper discharge hole 462 of the breaking member 460 and a passage formed as a closing part 471 is opened.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 13), if a main body 100 of a bottle cap 1 is rotated without using a breaking member 460, a cutting line breaking extension 461 breaks a cutting line 102 to mix contents filled in a storage space 110 with contents filled in a container 500. The mixture can be discharged by opening a check valve type closing part 470.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 14), a bottle cap 1 is provided by modifying the bottle cap 1 shown in FIG. 13. As shown in the drawing, if an upper cap 200 centered on a main body spout 104 of a main body 100 is rotated, a cutting line breaking extension 206 pushes a long auxiliary protrusion 114 extending upward from an inner side of the cutting line 102 formed at an inner lower part of the main body 100. When using the bottle cap 1, if the upper cap 200 is opened, the cutting line breaking extension 206 pushes the auxiliary protrusion 114 to break the cutting line 102, and then a mixture can be discharged through a closing part 470 which is a one-way check valve by pressing a container 500 after removing an upper cover 450.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 15), a bottle cap 1 is provided by modifying the bottle cap 1 of FIG. 14. An additional discharge operation part is not provided on an upper cap 200.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 16), an inner storage space 110 of a main body 100 is sealed using a closing part 101 separable along a cutting line 102 formed on a lower side of the storage space 110, and the cutting line 102 of the closing part 101 can be broken by a breaking part 400 coupled to a main body spout 104 of the main body 100. When using a bottle cap 1, if the breaking part 400 is rotated, the cutting line 102 of the closing part 101 is broken by a lone cutting line breaking extension 401 extending downward from the breaking part 400 so that contents filled in the storage space 110 can be mixed with contents filled in the inside of a container 500.

The mixed contents can be discharged through a discharge hole formed as the breaking part 400 is rotated and moved upward.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 17), an inner coupling part IR is disposed in a main body 100 of a bottle cap 1, and the bottle cap 1 is coupled to a container spout 501. A cut-out part 101 separable along a cutting line 102 is formed on a lower side of the inner coupling part IR, the cutting line 102 can be broken by a cutting line breaking extension 109 of the main body 100. For example, if the main body 100 is rotated, the cutting line breaking extension 109 breaks the cutting line 102 while being rotated so that contents filled in a storage space 110 can be added to contents filled in a container 500.

The mixed contents can be discharged by removing a protection cover 115, inserting a syringe needle in a rubber plug 480, and taking the mixed contents in a syringe.

In addition, if an upper cap 200 of the bottle cap 1 is rotated on the main body 100, the closing part 101 is pushed by a long cutting line breaking extension 206 extending downward from a bottom side of a top surface part of the upper cap 200. For example, the closing part 101 may include an inner coupling part IR separately manufactured and disposed at a lower end of a connection part (B) extending downward from the main body 100.

The inner coupling part IR may include a latch part so as to be elastically coupled to the lower end of the connection part (B), and if the cutting line breaking extension 206 pushes an upwardly extending auxiliary protrusion 114 while the upper cap 200 is opened, the inner coupling part IR may is moved down to the inside of the container 500. At the same time, a different material filled in the storage space 110 may fall into the container 500 and be mixed with contents filled in the container 500.

The mixture may be discharged after opening the main body 100. Alternatively, the mixture may be discharged through an additional discharge operation part (refer to FIG. 10) provided on top of the upper cap 200.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 18), in a bottle cap 1, a cutting line breaking extension 206 is provided on an inner side of an upper cap 200, and the upper cap 200 is coupled to a main body spout 104 of a main body 100. Liquid or powder is put in a storage space 207 of the bottle cap 1 through an opened bottom side of the storage space 207.

An additional inner coupling part IR is coupled to the bottom side of the storage space 207, for example, by pushing the inner coupling part IR to the bottom side of the storage space 207, so as to seal the storage space 207. For example, the inner coupling part IR may be coupled to the bottom side of the storage space 207 by engaging an upper annular part of the inner coupling part IR with a closing part fixing protrusion 111 in a state where the cutting line breaking extension 206 is placed in a recess 103.

When using the bottle cap 1, if the upper cap 200 is rotated, the cutting line breaking extension 206 is also rotated. Then, a cutting line 102 is broken, and contents filled in the storage space 207 fall to the inside of a container 500 and are mixed with contents filled in the container 500. The mixed contents can be discharged after removing the upper cap 200. If the upper cap 200 is configured to be not removed from the main body spout 104, the mixed contents may be discharged after removing the main body 100 from a container spout 501.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 19), a bottle cap 1 having a structure similar to that of the bottle cap 1 of FIG. 18 is provided. In detail, a cut-out part 101 constituting an inner coupling part IR is inclined. Referring to FIG. 19, an upper cap 200 coupled to a main body spout 104 is rotatable on the main body spout 104 like in the embodiment of FIG. 18. The upper cap 200 can be modified.

In another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 20), a bottle cap 1 is configured such that if an openable breaking part 400 coupled to the topside of a main body spout 104 is rotated, liquid or power filled in an inner storage space 110 of a main body 100 can easily fall to the inside of a container 500. In detail, an inner coupling part IR is formed on an annular lower end of a structure forming the storage space 110.

If the breaking part 400 is rotated, a cutting line breaking extension 401 escapes from a recess 103 to push the inner coupling part IR to the inside of the container 500.

According to another embodiment of the present invention (refer to FIG. 21), in a bottle cap 1, an upper capo including a cutting line breaking extension 206 is coupled to a main body spout of a main body 100. The bottom side of a storage space 207 of the bottle cap 1 is opened so that liquid or powder can be put in the storage space 207 through the opened bottom side.

An inner coupling part IR is connected at an outer position of the storage space 207 to a lower end of a support part 120 of the main body 100. If the cutting line breaking extension 206 of the bottle cap 1 is rotated, the cutting line breaking extension 206 pushes the inner coupling part IR downward so that the inner coupling part IR can fall to the inside of a container 500.

In addition, the inner coupling part IR may easily be pushed by the cutting line breaking extension 206 in a downward direction as follows. An upwardly extending auxiliary protrusion 114 may be formed. In a state where the inner coupling part IR is stably fixed to the support part 120, the extending auxiliary protrusion 114 may be pushed downward as the cutting line breaking extension 206 is rotated, and at this time, a cutting line 102 formed on the auxiliary protrusion 114 may be broken to open the storage space 207.
