Abstract: An Apple variety which may be classified as a striped or partially red variety, similar in color, shape and type to the Delicious variety having large size, disease resistance and better taste as compared with Yellow Newtown, the tree being vigorous, upright, but spreading with good crotch angles, adapting well to leader training.

Abstract: A new variety of peach tree, named "June Freestone," which is very large in size, very vigorous, spreading, moderately open, vase-formed, and hardy; foliated with medium size, acuminate, lanceolate, acutely pointed, thin, dark green leaves, having a crenate, finely serrate margin and a short, thick petiole, and a very productive bearer of uniform, evenly ripening, large to medium size, nearly globose or very broadly ovate, freestone fruit having yellow skin substantially overspread with red, and firm, fine, crisp, meaty yellow flesh streaked with red.

Abstract: An apparatus for reliably folding the protruding end flaps of an article filled package against the body of the package and for then securing the end flaps to the package. The apparatus includes a package gripping feed conveyor optionally having a reject mechanism therein. The gripping conveyor receives a line of packages from a wrapping machine and feeds these into pusher flights of a transverse conveying system. The reject mechanism can be manually or automatically actuated and de-actuated to reject defective product and/or packages. The feed conveyor maintains control of the nonrejected packages only until the forward end of each of the packages moves against or near an abutment in a transfer section which urges the forward flaps downwardly as the packages are moved upwardly and transversly out of the transfer section over a plate by the then arcuately moving pushers of a transverse flap folding conveyor which subsequently folds and seals both end flaps against the body of the associated packages.

Abstract: An improved front derailleur for a bicycle, is provided with a mounting nose extending from a base member of the derailleur and with a support mounted to the nose integrally therewith or independently thereof, the support including an insertion bore for a control wire and a socket for an outer sheath guiding the wire. The mounting nose and support have guide slots in continuation of the insertion bore and extending therefrom, the guide slot extending in a direction away from a linkage member of the derailleur. The guide slots have a length larger than the maximum wire deflection created when a control wire having no outer sheath is operated.
