Abstract: A new and distinct strawberry variety which originated from seed produced by a hand-pollinated cross between FL 80-456 and Pajaro, is provided. The new strawberry is distinguished by its earliness of production, its cupped leaves, its reponse to pests, and its sweet fruit.

Abstract: A new and distinct hybrid elm selection, believed to be from a genetic background of Ulmus americana.times.U. pumila, which is characterized by extremely high vigor as compared to other elm trees of the same age. This tree is further characterized by having leaves which are larger, thicker, highly doubly serrate, and more symmetrical than those of comparison trees of comparison or parental species. The leaves of this tree have midrib and veins which are inserted below the top surface and protrude from the bottom surfaces of leaves, and are larger than those of other species.It seems the extra thickness of the upper surface of the leaves of this tree with the larger vein structure beneath causes the leaf surface to become curved in a retrorse curve, with the center portion of the blade being higher, and the outer portion curved slightly downward. The blade turned with the lower side up becomes dish shaped and will hold water in the center.

The video monitors are arranged in groups, each group being coupled to a distinct transmission medium. A program selector associated with each video monitor generates video connection requests which specify a video source to be connected to that video monitor. A two stage video switch apparatus couples specified video sources to specified video monitors. The first stage routes specified video signals from the video sources to the second stage, which is a frequency multiplexer. The frequency multiplexer then transmits the specified video signals for each group of video monitors in distinct frequency bands on one of the transmission mediums. Each video monitor within each group of monitors has a tuner that is tuned to receive the video signal in a distinct one of the frequency bands.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for opening and closing a toilet seat hingedly attached to a toilet, which device comprises an elongated flexible cable having one end attached to the underside or outer periphery of the toilet seat at a position removed from the hinge attachment and the other end attached to an electric motor at a location remote from the toilet seat, wherein the electric motor also has a break for holding the toilet seat slightly less than full vertical or open position so that when the break is released, the toilet seat may be lowered to its horizontal or closed position. In a further embodiment of the device disclosed is a spring on the hinge which urges a seat toward the horizontal or closed position and having its greater urging force when the seat is in the vertical or open position.

The pivotal movement of the lip and the barrier plate are coordinated so that, when the lip is in a depending stored position, the barrier plate may be selectively adjusted to assume either an operative upwardly projecting vehicle barrier mode or an inoperative non-projecting mode allowing material handling equipment to load or unload the rear end of a vehicle parked adjacent the loading dock. When the lip is in an operative cantilevered position bridging a gap formed between the ramp front edge portion and the bed of a parked vehicle the barrier plate assumes the inoperative mode allowing material handling equipment to pass over the ramp and the lip onto the bed of the parked vehicle during loading and unloading thereof.

Abstract: An improved article and method for making and installing a bridge deck replacement system. Subsystem articles include a plurality of precast slabs which contain features, notably projections and plates which depend from the underside thereof, which are used to form both haunch forms/molds and grout engaging devices. When used in conjunction with the conventional and preestablished supporting structure subsystem, the slabs, though use of the various devices included and/or depending therefrom, non-shrink grouting and the improved method of installation, are securable thereto and, yet, may be severally and/or discretely removed at a later time and replaced with new slabs. The replacement facility is obtained concomitant with the attainment of an overall system having a truly composite action in that slabs and support structure subsystems function as a singular unit.

This fast, efficient, easy-to-use cleaning system extends the pressurized water system to create vacuum pressure used to remove sand, gravel, leaves, needles and other unwanted foreign matter collected in the vessel. An in-line filter traps these particles and permits removal before they enter the primary filtration system. This apparatus can be used by the bather from inside or outside the vessel. Abstract: A vacuum apparatus for temporary installation in a fireplace or stove of the type having a central opening with a floor at the bottom and a flue at the top thereof for cleaning the flue. The apparatus includes a hollow funnel-shaped adapter member configured at its upper end to generally conform to the size and shape of the bottom portion or throat of the flue of the fireplace and has a bottom end connected by a flexible hose to the inlet of a collection container. The collection container has an outlet which receives the free end of a vacuum cleaner hose which is connected to the intake of a conventional vacuum cleaner. The adapter member is supported by a pair of spring biased telescoping legs which maintain a resilient seal at the top end of the adapter member in sealing relation with the bottom portion or throat of the flue of the fireplace.

Abstract: An improved cleaning system of the type which applies a cleaning fluid to a surface to be cleaned and then vacuums the dirty cleaning fluid from said surface is provided. The system includes a cleaning fluid pump for delivering pressurized cleaning fluid to spray nozzles attached to either a floor nozzle or a hand tool. Both the floor nozzle and the hand tool are connected to the suction and cleaning fluid connectors of the main cleaner unit by a one-step connection which connects both fluid and suction lines in a single motion. The hand tool, which is attached to the main unit by a hose assembly, has its own pinch valve for controlling the application of cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned. When the hand tool is being used the trigger which actuates the pump may be locked in the "on" position.

A vacuum conduit extends to a flexible tip end which is proximate to the distal end of the borescope and is connected to a source of vacuum to create a suction at the tip end. An elongated guide sleeve serves to slidably receive the vacuum conduit. The tip end of the vacuum conduit is movable relative to the guide sleeve between a retracted position substantially coincident with the first end of the guide sleeve and an extended position whereat the tip end of the vacuum conduit is distant from the first end.

Abstract: A dry vacuum apparatus for a dental operatory features an in-line configuration wherein a power unit subassembly is directly mounted upon a collection tank with a pair of brushless DC vacuum motor fan units in axially aligned, vertically stacked reverse relation with air inlets of the motors confronting one another and with a vacuum air outlet of one blower connected in series relation to a vacuum air inlet of the other blower, an air cooling circuit being provided for supplying cooling air to a common sealed plenum chamber servicing the confronting motor air inlets and also to the vacuum air inlets of the blowers.
