Publication number: 20010048630Abstract: In a conventional DRAM, row addresses and column addresses are latched by DFF and decoding of addresses is started a certain time after a clock rise, and it takes a long time after the clock rise until the decoding is completed, having a problem that it is not possible to perform read/write at high speed. The present invention adopts a configuration connecting latch circuits such as the row address latch circuits and column address latch circuits using a scan chain. This makes decoding of row addresses and column addresses start when the clock is “L”, making it possible to complete decoding on the rise of each operation clock cycle, shorten the operation clock cycle and speed up read/write. The conventional art conducts a test on the connection between the row addresses and column addresses of the logic section and memory through an actual operation test of the entire LSI, resulting in a low circuit failure detection rate.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2001Publication date: December 6, 2001Applicant: MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.Inventors: Tomonori Fujimoto, Shoji Sakamoto, Kiyoto Ohta

Publication number: 20010048635Abstract: An integrated circuit device including a FIFO and a clock generator having a pulse swallower. The pulse swallower eliminates pulses from a reference frequency signal, producing a primary digital transceiver clock signal having a frequency of chiprate(S)(n), which is used to clock a digital transceiver when the device is in a primary mode. A first clock divider divides the frequency of the primary digital transceiver clock signal to produce a FIFO output clock signal having a frequency of chiprate(S). The FIFO has a data bus input for coupling to a data output, for example from an analog transceiver. The FIFO also has an external clock input for coupling to a clock output, for example from the analog transceiver. The external clock signal clocks the data into the FIFO asynchronous with the primary digital transceiver clock signal at a frequency of chiprate(S). The internal clock signal clocks the data out of the FIFO, synchronous with the primary digital transceiver clock signal at a frequency of chiprate (S).Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2001Publication date: December 6, 2001Inventors: Tien Q. Publication number: 20010048638Abstract: An apparatus for obtaining resistivity images of a borehole includes an array of measure electrodes separated from a pad or the body of the instrument by a guard electrode. The guard electrode is maintained at a slightly lower potential than the pad and the measure electrode is at an intermediate potential thereto. With this arrangement, the current from the guard electrode defocuses the measure current from the measure electrode as it enters the formation, and at greater distances, the current from the measure electrode is refocused by the effect of the current from the pad. This defocusing and refocusing defines a region of investigation away from the borehole wall that is relatively insensitive to borehole rugosity. Circumferential and vertical overlap may be obtained either by the arrangement of the measure electrodes, or by relying on the broadening of the measure beam as it enters the formation.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2001Publication date: December 6, 2001Inventors: Martin Townley Evans, Andrew Richard Burt

Publication number: 20010048672Abstract: In a satellite communication data delivery method, delivery data is transmitted from a master station to a slave station over a packet exchanging system communication channel 3 via a satellite. The slave station demodulates the packet ID appended to a packet delivered. In case the packet ID is the same as the packet ID owned by the slave station, the slave station receives the data in the packet. The slave station transmits an assignment request signal for the dedicated communication channel 4 over the uplink of the control channels 5. The master station assigns an idle dedicated communication channel out of the dedicated communication channels 4 to the slave station and notifies the slave station of the assignment over the downlink of the control circuits 5. The slave station transmits response data to the master station over the assigned dedicated communication channel.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2001Publication date: December 6, 2001Applicant: MITSUBISHI DENKI KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Masako Okunishi, Norimitsu Kasai, Tomoko Okumoto
