Publication number: 20020194767Abstract: This laser-sighting system can be constructed as a compact side module for use with a revolver or automatic pistol. Features on the side of the firearm such as the yoke screw and the other side plate screws of a revolver are used to secure this laser-sighting system in a favorable location on the side of the firearm frame above the trigger guard forward of the grip, but behind the leading edge of the firearm's trigger guard. The takedown pins or slide stops found in this same location on many automatic pistols can also be used for this purpose. The system uses a very thin laser-sighting module that does not interfere with the holstering, concealment, or handling of the firearm. This module is self-contained, including a laser diode and lens, a diode laser control circuit, a battery, an activation switch, and a laser housing with screw holes and an alignment/aiming mechanism. The system can also contain a white light or colored LED for illumination and communication.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2002Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventors: William R. Publication number: 20020194770Abstract: Flexible fishing lure tails and appendages having extending or projecting shoulder surfaces to facilitate a simulated swimming action by the drag and eddy principle of water flow. One or more shoulders are provided in the surfaces of the flexible fishing lure tails to facilitate the swimming action as the lure to which the tail or appendage is attached is retrieved through a water body. This swimming action due to the vibration of the tail and appendage segment and the body of the fishing lure is unique and simulates live lizards, worms, crawfish, grubs, minnows and the like, a primary characteristic that attracts fish. The tail and appendage segments can be removably or permanently fixed to both hard and soft body lures or molded in combination with a lure body of selected length, size, color and plastic composition characteristics to facilitate the desired swimming action and vibration and thus the attraction to game fish of every variety.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2002Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventor: Bobby D. Publication number: 20020194771Abstract: A system for the dissemination of pheromone bearing carrier substrates which includes an airplane/helicopter mountable carrier substrate dispenser, the actuation for release of the carrier substrates loaded into the dispenser being controlled from the cockpit of the plane/helicopter. Each carrier substrate has one A member card and at least one B member card released upon actuation of the dispenser, for disposition of the carrier substrates within treetops, where the pheromone will be released automatically from the substrate of the card to dissipate into the ambient air. The released pheromone acts to confuse male members of a particular pest insect, such that the males are impeded in their efforts to locate females of that specie who would also be disseminating pheromone, to thereby interfere with the mating cycle of such pest insects.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2001Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventor: Russell Stocker

Publication number: 20020194809Abstract: Tie wire with a square cross section is provided which has a 30% increase in tensile strength and at least a 100% increase in surface contact with rebar which it is used to secure. The generally square configuration includes four convex portions at the corners, each pair of convex portions being interconnected by a concave portion. The concave portions may achieve an even larger increase in surface contact as they contact the surface of the rebar.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2001Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventors: Todd M. Schulze, Brandi L. Elliott, Clayton E. Schulze

Publication number: 20020194812Abstract: A metal framing member for use as a stud, joist, rafter, truss, etc. is disclosed. The framing member includes a cut out chase to allow wiring or a stiffening rod to pass through the member. The cut out flap is bent at about a 90° angle to the member and is provided with attachment holes to clip the wiring or stiffening rod to the framing member.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2001Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventor: Athony P. Publication number: 20020194813Abstract: An insulating glass unit including a first pane of glass, a second pane of glass, and a spacer system. The spacer system includes (i) a spacer positioned between an inner surface of the first pane of glass and an inner surface of the second pane of glass and (ii) a sealant system for adhering the inner surfaces of the glass panes to the spacer. The sealant system includes at least one sealant having (a) at least one thermoplastic hot-melt material having a melt temperature ranging from about 125° F. (51° C.) to about 250° F. (121° C.), and (b) at least one curable material. The sealant, when cured, forms a covalent bond between the spacer and the panes. The sealant has an initial hardness ranging from about 25 Shore A to about 450 Shore A and a post-cure hardness measured about 48 hours thereafter ranging from about 30 Shore A to about 50 Shore A.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2002Publication date: December 26, 2002Applicant: PRC-DeSoto International, Inc.Inventors: Bruce Virnelson, Richard Giangiordano

Publication number: 20020194814Abstract: A large round baler is equipped with a net wrapping mechanism for wrapping a bale with net material that is wider that the width of the baling chamber so that the net material extends over the opposite ends of the bale. The baler has a baling chamber defined in part by a plurality of bale-forming belts mounted in side-by-side relationship on a plurality of belt support rolls extending between opposite sidewalls of the baling chamber. The net material is fed beneath the discharge gate of the baler to a crop inlet located between a lower front belt support roll carried by the discharge gate, the net being carried into the baling chamber by a fore-and-aft runs of the belts that extend between a lower rear and the lower front belt support roll, and carry the net along a guide surface defined by a plurality of channel members respectively located beneath the fore-and-aft runs of the belts.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2002Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventors: Henry Dennis Anstey, Nissim Mass, Yuval Lieber, Zvi Paz

Publication number: 20020194815Abstract: An assembly for handling and packaging pharmaceutical dosage forms includes an infeed structure, a laning structure, and a plenum structure extending from the infeed structure to the laning structure. The infeed, laning and plenum structures guide dosage forms as they are carried in a downstream direction by a surface movable with downstream direction. A guide portion guides the dosage forms into the laning structure to avoid jamming of tablets. A form handling device receives dosage forms and transports the dosage forms to a packaging device. A timed controller and dump gate operate so that debris is carried out of the assembly. The assembly is particularly useful for fragile dosage forms. A packaging device having a bottom plate with floatably supported blocks is provided for sealing dosage forms into packages.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2001Publication date: December 26, 2002Applicant: Aylward Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: John Thomas Aylward, C. Publication number: 20020194816Abstract: A horizontal form, fill and seal machine has a hollow forming box into which a continuous film is longitudinally fed from a packaging film supply. The forming box has a top, sides and open inlet and outlet ends. A pair of guide bars extend from the outlet end of the forming box adjacent the forming box sides and extending away from the inlet end. The forming box transforms the flat packaging film into a film envelope that extends about the guide bars and has a product-receiving surface that rests on a conveyor between the guide bars. Sealing bars are provided to join the longitudinal edges of the packaging film together and to form seals across the envelope at package length intervals after each deposit of product onto the product-receiving surface. A zipper attaching mechanism applies zipper to the film upstream of the forming box.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2001Publication date: December 26, 2002Inventors: John H. Schneider, Stanley Piotrowski, Nigel Knight
