  • Publication number: 20040007570
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for microwave-heating prepared meals sealed in trays, in which the trays are placed in an autoclave into which microwaves from microwave generators are coupled and in which the trays are moved back and forth as they are being processed. It is the object of the invention to achieve appropriate, even heating of the different products on each tray and to prevent both hot spots and cold spots. The invention lies in the fact that the microwave generators are disposed at the side of the autoclave and are each connected to a waveguide arranged in the autoclave and comprising upwardly directed decoupling openings immediately beneath the tray, the distance between the decoupling opening and the tray to be heated being less than one-half wavelength. What is achieved in this manner is that the foods deposited on the tray are first heated from below and the heat rises from bottom to top. This prevents overheating and burning on the surface.

Abstract: A system, apparatus and method is disclosed for providing a consistent liquid mixture according to a predetermined recipe for use at a point of use. The apparatus includes a plurality of liquid component reservoirs in which a constant gas pressure is maintained. A plurality of valves are provided, with individual valves connected to an outlet port of each reservoir. An electronic controller controls the valve actuation in a repetitive sequence to discharge predetermined doses of selected liquid components for mixing to form the consistent liquid mixture. A mixing section receives the sequence of doses to mix them together to form the liquid mixture.

Abstract: A double-acting pump for ejecting a product from a container, with a housing in which a piston with an axial bore is axially slideable and sealed by a first housing portion, with a hollow piston rod which extends the axial bore of the piston and is slideable in an opening of a closing cap of the housing and container. When an actuating head is actuated, it presses the piston against the force of a restoring spring toward a connecting pipe portion for an immersion pipe provided in the housing, so that a pressure is built up in a pressure chamber of the housing which presses a first valve closing piece in the connecting pipe piece against a first valve seat.

Abstract: It becomes possible for the rotational force generated by an operating member (12) to be transmitted to a cylindrical movable body (13) by means of a shaft member (62) inserted slidably in the longitudinal direction in a non-rotatable fashion, inside the movable body (13), and moreover, the shaft member (62) becomes able to pass inside the movable body (13) by penetrating through the inner side of the ratchet spring section (81), a composition being adopted wherein the shaft member (62) passes through the female screw thread (11a) of the main body (11) which screws together with the male screw thread (13a) of the movable body (13).

Abstract: A noncontainer pressurizing pump sprayer includes a body, which defines a chamber. A piston is positioned within the container and is coupled to a shaft. The piston divides the chamber into an upper section and a lower section. An inlet valve is positioned on the body and permits flow of fluid into the lower section but restricts flow out of the lower section. The shaft of the piston is coupled to a handle. A spray nozzle includes an actuator that is coupled to a control valve and a discharge outlet that is in fluid communication with the lower section of the chamber. In one embodiment, a tube extends continuously from a point upstream of the control valve to a point downstream of the control valve. In another embodiment, a tube is coupled to the piston and extends through the handle. In another embodiment, the tube extends continuously from the spray nozzle and is coupled to the piston.
