Abstract: A vehicle suspension has axle end portions each pivotally coupled to an associated leaf spring and thereby to an associated supporting vehicle frame rail. Control rods are pivotally coupled to the axle at locations below the leaf spring pivots. Desirably, one of such control rods is pivoted to the axle at a location above the wheel axis and the other of such control rods is pivotally coupled to the axle at a location below the wheel axis. A steering mechanism for steering the steerable wheels of a tandem axle includes first and second steering gears mounted to a common frame rail and driven by a single mechanical coupling such as a T-miter box. These steering gears may control respective steering gears at the opposite side of the vehicle.

Abstract: A manually maneuverable, quick release ride along miniature bicycle doll carrier, for holding a doll wearing a helmet therein, is mounted on a child's bicycle frame. The bicycle doll carrier functions as an important safety teaching element for the child playing with the doll, the doll's helmet and the doll seat carrier. A front mounting clamp is rigidly attached to the bicycle seat carrier post to or receive one of the quick release elements. The doll carrier is retained to the bicycle by front and rear support rod assemblies, which compose the quick release elements. For attachment by the child, the carrier with the pre-attached front support rods and rear support rod assembly is carried to the bicycle by the child. The quick release ends of the rear rod assembly are twisted to engage the bicycle frame members. Then the front support rods are guided to engage ends within angled holes in a front mounting clamp located upon the steering post of the bicycle.

Abstract: Sealing device for the interface between an airbag and a gas generator. A flat seal (7) made of an elastomer material is fixed by stitching (9) to the piece of cloth (5), constituting an interface, which is stitched to the wall of the airbag (4). The seal (7) has a circular opening at its center, which faces the opening presented by the interface (5). The diameter of the opening (7) is less than the outside diameter of the end (1) of the gas generator and the insertion of this end (1) into the opening (7) causes the formation of a flap formed by the edge of the seal (7), which acts as a sealing lip. The invention ensures an increase in pressure in the airbag and improves the shock absorbance offered to the occupant of the vehicle.

Abstract: A plug connection device (1), in particular for securing and tightening fluid couplings (11), has a holding device with a holder (14), a plug-in element (26) and an extension spring element in the form of an annular extension spring (23). The annular extension spring (23) acts as a wedge between an annular surface (32) formed on the plug-in element (26) and an annular rim (19) formed on the holder (14). The annular extension spring (23) can perform a rolling movement around its chord center axis (24). A particularly low static friction is present here because of the support of the annular extension spring (23) on the annular rim (19), which permits a continuous automatic re-tightening of the holding device (12).

Abstract: This invention is a method and apparatus for making a pressure-containing threaded tubular connection, suitable for remotely operated connection and separation, utilizing electrical heating to reduce the amount of make up torque required to produce reliable preloading of the connection. One aspect of the present invention comprises: 1) a first hub with male threads on its exterior and having a sealing face and axial flow passage, b) a second hub having an axial flow passage and carrying an annular seal which can be mated with the sealing face of the first hub and mounting a rotatable nut having female threads on its interior and integral nut heating means. After stabbing and initial make-up of the connection, the nut is heated and thereby expanded in a controlled manner and the connection retightened. Following cooling, the structural connection is fully preloaded and the annular seal fully compressed so that it seals. Reversing the procedure permits disconnection.

Abstract: A circular ring wave pool having an island in the center, the pool water depth becomes deeper the farther away from the island to the outside pool wall. A plurality of wave generators encompass the entire outer wall deep side of the pool. All wave generators point directly to the center of the island. Wave generators are synchronized in their action to produce waves that travel around the circular ring shaped pool in an endless loop therefore creating a traveling surfing wave that never ends. Many waves can be generated simultaneously creating a plurality of endless waves moving around the island. The sloping beach is at an angle to create a hollow tube breaking wave depending on wave speed and size. Hundreds of surfers can be in the pool at the same time all sitting out past the wave breakpoint waiting for an available wave to pass.

A weight element is coupled to an end of the shaft and is supported radially outward of the longitudinal axis of the shaft. Leveraged movement of the end of the shaft in a cyclical motion imparts a tangential force on the weight element creating angular momentum which carries the weight element about a generally circular path relative to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, thereby rotating the shaft. The electric generator motor is driven by rotation of the shaft to produce electric power.
