Publication number: 20050005424Abstract: Method of forming a ferromagnetic layer on at least one surface of a dielectric material that may be serve as an inductive core on a printed circuit board or a multichip module. Conductive leads can form two separate coils around the core to form a transformer, and a planar conducing sheet can be placed on or between one or more of the dielectric layers as magnetic shielding. The core can be formed at least in part by electroless plating, and electroplating can be used to add a thicker layer of less conductive ferromagnetic material. Ferromagnetic layers are formed by dipping the dielectric surface in a solution containing catalytic metal particles having a slight dipole, and placing the surface in a metal salt to cause a layer containing metal to be electrolessly plated upon the dielectric. Surface roughening techniques can be used before the dipping to help attract the catalytic particles.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2004Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Peter Nuytkens, Ilya Popeko, Joseph Kulinets

A portion of the bias layer below the gap is processed for reducing a magnetic moment of the bias layer in the portion of the bias layer below the gap for forming a sensor in which magnetic moments of end portions of the free layer are pinned by magnetic moments of end portions of the bias layer, and preferably antiparallel thereto.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2003Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Kim Lee, Jih-Shiuan Luo

Publication number: 20050005430Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacture capable of manufacturing a repulsion magnetic circuit for a speaker with good production efficiency and in a stabilized manner and an apparatus for use in the manufacture. A position of abutment between first magnetic block circuit attached to lower jig (102) and second magnetic circuit block attached to upper jig (105) is detected by detection of a load current of servomotor (103). A pressing time for achieving adhesion is established by the number of pulses from encoder directly coupled with servomotor (103).Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2003Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Ryoi Hamaguchi, Hiroshi Wada

Publication number: 20050005431Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of making a polymeric porous separation membrane for a lithium ion polymer battery, the method comprising: providing a porous polyolefin membrane and a polymer solution of the concentration of 1-20 weight % in an organic solvent fabricated by dissolving in an organic solvent a polymer compound that is stable in an electrolyte containing a lithium salt and can be gelled in the electrolyte, at the temperature of 10-40° C.; and fabricating a polymeric porous separation membrane by coating the polymeric porous polyolefin membrane with the polymer solution. Thus, the porous separation membrane for a lithium ion polymer battery is fabricated by using the polymer solution fabricated at the low temperatures of 10-40° C., and the size of the pores of the coated is proper, so that the containing capacity of the electrolyte and the ion conductivity are good. Further gelling at low pressure is enabled and cohesive force to the electrodes is improved.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 7, 2004Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Young-sam Koo, Si-chul Yu, Jae-an Lee

Publication number: 20050005434Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for die transfer using a changeable or movable material is described herein. The die plate has a planar body. The body has a plurality of holes therethrough. Each die covers a corresponding hole on a first surface of the die plate. The holes are filled with a material that can be caused to expand, exert pressure, or move when exposed to one or more stimuli. The die plate is positioned to be closely adjacent to the web of substrates. The dies can subsequently be transferred from the die plate to one or more destination substrates or other surfaces by applying one or more stimuli to the material, causing the material to expand, exert pressure, or move. The action of the material causes the dies to separate from the die plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2004Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Michael Arneson, William Bandy

Publication number: 20050005435Abstract: The invention provides an electronic component mounting method which improves a work efficiency and enables pickup of electronic components without fail. A component feeding unit mounted with a master tape formed with pickup position indication holes is fixed to an adjusting jig. A recognition camera takes an image of a recognition mark to calculate a center position thereof, moves to a position corresponding to a component pickup position previously stored in a memory portion, and takes an image of the pickup position indication hole provided in the master tape to calculate a component pickup position. Data on a positional relationship between the recognition mark and the pickup position based on a result of this recognition processing are stored in a memory in the component feeding unit. The component feeding units each mounted with a storage tape are fixed to a base of an electronic component mounting apparatus.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2004Publication date: January 13, 2005Applicant: Hitachi High-Tech Instruments Co., Ltd.Inventor: Tsutomu Yanagida
