Abstract: A supporting device (300) for supporting a guide rail (200) for guiding a movable member subjected to relative displacement in relation to the base table (3). The supporting device includes, base bodies (410, 510) engaged onto the base table (3) and carrying the guide rail (200), and holding section (440, 530) for holding the guide rail (200) intervening between the guide rail (200) in the state where the guide rail is carried by the base bodies (410, 510). The holding section (440, 530) supports the guide rail (200) in the state where it can move swingingly. A change in the posture or position of the base bodies (410, 510) is offset with a swinging movement by the holding section, and does not affect the guide rail. As a result, excessive force is not applied on the guide rail, so that the form of the guide rail is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20050160621
Abstract: A problem associated with known circulating air dryers, e.g. for a textile material web is that the quantity of circulating air depends on both the desired drying behaviour and on the suspended guidance of the material web. A minimum quantity of circulating air must be maintained to prevent the position of the material from becoming unstable in the treatment chamber. The aim of the invention is to provide a circulating air dryer, in which the material web is suspended in a steady manner by a cushion of air, independently of the air flow. To achieve this, the nozzle chambers (7, 8), by means of which air is blown onto the material web (1) and evacuated through return flow channels, are equipped with elements for at least partially closing the return flow channels. This permits the air pressure between the material web (1) and the nozzle chambers (7, 8) and thus the carrying force of the air to be regulated. Said dryer can be used for the finishing of textiles.

Abstract: The snow shovel easily and with minimal effort, scoops up a pile of snow, pivot and wheels the contents to another location, whereupon operation of a lever releases its load. The telescoping frame and rotatable handle provides a selection of lockable positions. The front mounted scoop head is pivotally mounted to the lower end of the frame. Upon activation of a release lever, the scoop head is allowed to rotate downward, releasing its load. A wheel assembly mounted to an intermediate portion of the frame supports the shovel in an inclined position, allowing the user to concentrate on applying force in a forward direction rather than expending effort lifting the handle. Furthermore, the wheel assembly acts as a fulcrum whereby downward pressure on the handlebars of the shovel elevates the scoop for ease of transport. The wheel assembly may be rotated towards the frame when not in use.

Abstract: A method and device for collecting animals living on or in a water bottom such as crustaceans and shellfish and fish, wherein a collecting device (5) is moved over the bottom, which collecting device is provided with means for moving the animals from or off the water bottom, in particular at least one tine (14) that can penetrate into the bottom and with which said animals can be taken or forced from or off the bottom, while said at least one tine is provided with fluid outlet means (17) through which under pressure, a fluid, in particular water, is forced into the bottom, such that a top layer of the bottom is stirred up and animals living therein or thereon are dislodged, which animals are captured in the collecting device. The or each tine is movable on the basis of signals, produced by detecting means (21) for detecting the animals. Preferably, the detecting means are placed in front of the tines.

Abstract: An improved self-spreading trawl (13) includes first panels (56T, 56B) which when towed through a body of water (12) separate on opposite sides of the trawl's central axis (62). Portions of panels (56T, 56B) form portions of the trawl's mouth (26). The trawl (13) also includes second panels (56P, 56S) which separate on opposite sides of the central axis (62) from the sides occupied by the panels (56T, 56B). Portions of panels (56P, 56S) form portions of the trawl's mouth (26). Regions of panels (56P, 56S) generate more outwardly directed lift than corresponding regions of the panels (56T, 56B). When towed through the body of water (12): a) a distance separating the panels (56P, 56S) exceeds; b) a distance separating the panels (56T, 56B). Also a braided product strand which includes at least 3 plaits (76, 102), at least one (76) of which is larger than the others (102), advantageously exhibits less drag and vibration.

Abstract: The invention has a hook on one end of the enclosure to hook to an eyelet of a fishing pole and could have a bendable tongue to close the open hook end. The hook is part of the container which encloses the lure and has an opening for the fishing line on the opposite side of the container leading back to the real. The container is hinged to open and close or could be in two parts that snap together. The enclosing “box” could be cylindrical, square, or round. The idea is to enclose fishing lures or single hooks which come in many sizes and shapes while leaving them on the fishing pole.

Abstract: A fishing lure is provided for attracting and catching fish which is in the form of a sleeve with a hook, at the rear end and the front end of which has means to which the sleeve is attached for allowing the sleeve to swivel around a central axis and when the lure is dragged through the water it gives the appearance of a life-like movement of the lure. One are more hook are concealed within the sleeve and when the lure is pulled through the water the sleeve undulates or moves in such a manner as to give the impression that the lure is alive.

Abstract: An apparatus provides for the killing of insects by trapping the larvae. In one preferred embodiment, the apparatus includes a container with a protrusion and a second non-horizontal surface, such as a funnel, positioned above the protrusion. The funnel defines an opening above the protrusion. A barrier may also be included that abuts the underside of the funnel. A liquid is placed in the container at a level at least above the opening such that eggs laid in the water become larvae that swim downward and are directed through the opening by the funnel and are directed away from the opening by the protrusion. The larvae either drown or become trapped adult mosquitoes. It is noted that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that allows a searcher or reader to ascertain quickly the subject matter of the technical disclosure and is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
