Abstract: Fire protective trousers for use by firefighters, emergency responders and rescue workers includes an outer shell that can mount a removable liner therein and a belt closure system, the outer shell defining a belting area and the belt closure system including right and left sheaths that respectively extend from the right rear to the right front and from the left rear to the left front of the trousers and through which extend respective right and left belt sections whose rear ends are attached to the outer shell and whose front ends are attached to the respective right and left parts of a snap buckle that can be easily attached or disconnected by a wearer even if wearing gloves.

Abstract: A liner system for a flame resistant coat includes a thermal barrier and a moisture barrier, the upper portion of the thermal barrier being detachably connected to the inner part of the collar of the coat, while the upper portion of the moisture barrier is detachably connected to the outer part of the collar. The upper portions of the thermal barrier and moisture barrier are free of one another; and the upper portion of the moisture barrier extends into the collar a substantial distance above the upper edge portion of the thermal barrier when the collar is in vertical position.

Abstract: A luminescent vest equipped with plastic optical fibers having structural layers including a top layer of plastic film, a middle layer of plastic optical fibers and a bottom layer of a web-like structure. The middle woven layer has the following woven structure: (1) interwoven by lengthwise plastic optical fibers and crosswise plastic optical fibers; (2) interwoven by crosswise chemical fibers and lengthwise plastic optical fibers; (3) interwoven by lengthwise chemical fibers and crosswise plastic optical fibers. The three-layer structure is distributed at appropriate positions on the vest, while the top part of plastic film layer is arranged with letters or patterns serving to project light from the plastic optical fibers, and connected to electrical power to project alarm light effects. The present invention can be used in applications that include a traffic policeman's uniform, an environmental protection worker's uniform, a security guard's uniform and ordinary apparel.

Abstract: A article of apparel for moderating the body temperature of an individual is disclosed. The apparel includes a torso region for covering at least a portion of a torso of the individual. A plurality of cavities are distributed throughout the torso region, and a plurality of thermal inserts are positioned within the cavities. The thermal inserts may be bladders that enclose a fluid. A fitting system extends at least partially around the torso region. Instructions for utilizing the article of apparel may also be included, with the instructions being permanently secured to the article of apparel.

A concealed holster pocket within the concealing pocket, the concealed holster pocket adapted to hold a gun. The concealed holster pocket supported from the center seam such that the weight of a gun carried in the concealed holster pocket is supported directly by the shoulder of a wearer reducing the tendency for the gun to map and increasing the comfort of a wearer.

Abstract: A one-piece infant undergarment having neck and arm openings, and a bottom opening backed by a prolonged bottom flap dimensioned to wrap around the infant's crotch and to join the front of the bottom opening. Opposing hook-and loop Velcro® strips are sewn onto the undergarment along the margins of the bottom flap and at the front of the bottom opening. When the bottom flap is wrapped around the infant's crotch, it can be conveniently joined to the front by the opposing hook-and loop strips and sealed closed by minimal pressure, thereby forming a releasable crotch cover that facilitates more convenient no-fuss changing.

Abstract: An ICU/CCU gown to be worn by a patient during hospitalization includes an upper garment and a lower garment. The upper garment includes a pair of front panels releasably connected to each other and to a neck panel leaving an open back. The lower garment includes a waist panel having a pair of leg panels and a central genital panel extending downwardly therefrom leaving an open back. The lower garment can be provided with a rear panel having a central examination panel. The upper and lower garments may be releasably attached to one another.

Abstract: A glove for participants of video gaming includes various palmar grip surfaces and a cushion overlying the flexor pollicis brevis and/or opponens pollicis muscles to protect the thumb and palm, and avoid fatigue and repetitive motion injury. The cushion can be a gel pack suitable for heating or cooling, and can be replaced while playing. The glove can also include electrodes on the inner surface for the application of TEMS and/or TENS to the wearer, even during play.

Abstract: The present invention is a protective sleeve of left and right design to be worn on the respective user's forearms. The purpose of the sleeve is to protect the wearer from electrical shock while working on electrical power panels, where exposed electrical conductors are present. The sleeves allow the technician to make contact with live electrical conductors, and prevent the arms from making contact with any grounded surfaces nearby. This is essential in the prevention of electrical shock. In the telecommunications industry, technicians routinely work directly with live conductors; therefore insulating sleeves for protecting the arms, such as those of the present invention are an important part of any electrician's tool box. The present invention is fully adjustable from small to large sized arms using the uniquely flexible and adjustable Velcro™ fastening system. Additionally, the Velcro™ fastening system allows the technician to adjust the sleeve snuggly around the arm to prevent slippage and movement.

Abstract: A protective garment is provided consisting of a garment body having at least one sleeve, a glove associated with the sleeve, and an adhesive disposed upon a surface of the glove, the sleeve, or both. The adhesive forms an interface between the two surfaces. The adhesive has sufficient adhesion to remain affixed substantially to the surface to which it is applied while having sufficient strength to enable donning of the garment without damaging the interface. The glove is removable from the garment body by breaking the interface, without causing damage to the surfaces of the glove or garment body, and without migration of the adhesive from the surface to which it was applied.

Abstract: A sweatband using micro fiber yarn for headwear that is made to 0.5˜1.05 denier thickness of micro fiber yarn and woven of 100% polyester wrap-way and weft-way, made to single or two-ply without any polyurethane and additional stitched portion. The resulting sweatband, which preferably provides excellent sweat absorbing capability, and having high dryness factor, anti-static electricity function and the highly washable function, and exhibits good elasticity through the structure of the textile without imposing undue pressure on the wearer, with the result that the sweatband may be worn comfortably for long periods of time. The yarn used to produce the sweatband is processed by high temperature and piece dyeing methods and has twist per each certain length.

Abstract: The invention is an article of headwear that incorporates an adjustment system for accommodating individuals with various head dimensions. The headwear may be formed of a crown and a visor. With respect to the crown, the adjustment system includes a first elastic material, which forms a majority of the crown, and a second elastic material, which is screenprinted or otherwise attached to a flap positioned within the crown. Regarding the visor, the adjustment system resides in a visor board configuration wherein slits are formed to separate various portions of the visor board. The slits permit the portions to move relative to each other, thereby permitting the visor to expand to accommodate stretching of the crown.

Abstract: A wave making method positions a shallow draft vessel off-shore form a shoreline of a sea in a position whereby one side of the vessel is in parallel to the shoreline. A pump is used for pumping seawater into a tank interior to the vessel. When the vessel is filled, the water is lifted to a rim of a side of the tank nearest to the shoreline to thereby dump the water in the tank over a side of the vessel. The dumped water is directed outwardly from the vessel and falls onto a submerged curved platform attached to the vessel and which extends outwardly therefrom. The platform creates a wave that moves away from the one side of the vessel toward the shoreline and is suitable for surfing.

Abstract: A clutch system for a washing machine having a spin tub, a centrally located agitator system, and a motor provided to drive the spin tub and agitator system. The clutch system has a housing and a spinner support operably engaged in the housing. The clutch system also has a delay body which is movable between a rest position and a taut position. The clutch system also has a first one-way clutch permitting relative rotation between the spinner support in the housing and enabling the agitation mode without the spin tub moving. The clutch system having a second one-way clutch connecting the spinner support to the housing with the intermediate delay body whereby the agitator is moved backward partially and then the spin mode enabled without engagement of the centrally located agitator system.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of controlling opening and closing of a door in a drum-type washing machine. When the drum-type washing machine suddenly stops in operation, e.g. in case of a mistake by a user or a switch-off, a water level of a tub is sensed, which shows lower than predetermined height, thereafter a door-lock-system is converted that the door can be opened. To this function, the present invention has an effect on protecting against an outflow of water of the tub in case the user wrongly opens the door.
