Abstract: An apparatus for protecting a body part of a user having an inner layer and an outer layer secured thereto. The inner layer is positionable adjacent to the body part of the user, is air permeable, and has moisture wicking capability. The air permeability and moisture wicking capability of the inner layer allows air to circulate and pulls perspiration away from the body part to help keep the body part cool. The outer layer is positionable adjacent to the inner layer and is thermal insulating, fire resistant, and melt resistant. The thermal insulation, fire resistance, and melt resistance of the outer layer protect the body part from extreme temperatures and fire.

Abstract: What I claim is new about my invention is that the Safety Tub Insert will eliminate getting the patient in and out of the bottom of the fixed tub, which is unsafe at the very best. This will eliminate sitting on a stool and tripping on the same. When the safety tub insert is installed, the caretaker can help the patient sit on the edge of the tub and slide back to the center of the 4? inch deep safety tub insert. The caretaker can then swing the patient's legs into the center of the tub. Now the patient is sitting and soaking their most likely spot to get a bed sore. Their bottom is in two to two and one-half inches of warm bath water. The caretaker can drain the safety tub insert into the fixed tub drain and dry 90% of the patient's body, swing legs out and the patient bottom will be 14? to 22? above the floor. It is much safer to stand from that height than the bottom of the fixed tub. The patient won't have to step over the side of the tub to get in or out of a tub ever again.

Abstract: A suspension system for use in a laundry washing machine to suspend a tub assembly from a base portion of a cabinet. The suspension system includes a support frame interconnected to an outer tub of the tub assembly and a plurality of isolation damper units for resiliently coupling the support frame to the base portion of the cabinet. The isolation damper units function to allow limited lateral movement of the tub assembly relative to the cabinet while also providing a “return to center” feature. The isolation damper units are further operable to inhibit rotation of the outer tub relative to the cabinet. Finally, the isolation damper units function to absorb the vibration transmitted through the tub assembly to the support frame so as to minimize transmission of such vibration to the cabinet.
