Abstract: An automatic fishing line washing apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is structured to be connected to a domestic water source and to be utilized in conjunction with a fishing reel and rod. The fishing line is automatically washed by allowing the fishing line to wind onto the apparatus storage reel from the fishing rod and then rewinding the line back onto the fishing rod using the fishing rod reel. The apparatus is comprised of means for domestic water to be directed through a fixed spindle consisting of fluid passage grooves and ports that communicate with aligned holes and hollow posts comprising the said storage reel, thereby allowing the water to be directed to exit holes in the said posts in the hub of the storage reel.

Abstract: A space solar concentrator based on deployable reflectors attached to a panel base is described. Each of the reflectors includes sides coated with reflective coating on surfaces facing away from the base. In one embodiment, the sides of the reflector have thicker portion to provide stiffness for deployment absent compressive force, and thinner portion to reduce weight and storage energy. In another embodiment, both reflective sides are unfolded when the reflectors are in stowed position. During deployment, a stop side will limit the deployment of both reflective sides and ensure the proper reflecting position. In addition, these embodiments reduce the storage energy.

Abstract: A light-receiving device incorporating particulate semiconductor devices (solar cells) having a light-to-electricity transducing function or a light-emitting device incorporating particulate semiconductor devices (light-emitting diodes) having an electricity-to-light transducing function. In a solar cell panel shown, solar cells are arrayed on the same plane in rows. Each row of solar cells are parallel interconnected through positive electrode wires and negative electrode wires, and solar cells of adjoining rows are interconnected in series through a connection part. These solar cells connected in parallel and in series are covered with a transparent covering member, thus forming a panel. These solar cells each have externally exposed positive and negative electrode terminals, and therefore the solar cells can be interconnected in parallel, in series, or in parallel and series. When the conductive wires and the covering member are flexible, the device can be deformable.

Abstract: A method of providing a continuous, sequential, and cyclic, if desired, liquid feed to a processor from a plurality of containers, which comprises feeding the liquid from a first of the containers through a first conduit to a reservoir having a float valve, to keep the level of the liquid in the reservoir high enough to maintain the float valve in an upper floating position that closes the float valve. The first conduit is uncontrolled by the float valve. The float valve controls a second conduit which connects with a second container. As liquid is withdrawn from the reservoir for processing, liquid from the first conduit and container replenishes the reservoir until it is exhausted. Then, the liquid level drops, and the float valve opens the second conduit for replenishing the reservoir with liquid from the second container. A crossover valve may be used so that the float valve controls flow from either container connected to the second conduit.

Abstract: A vehicle chassis with at least two fuel tanks with an engine engaged to the chassis structural member. Each of the fuel tanks has fuel level detector or sender. The level senders are engaged to an electronic controller. Each of the tanks has fuel draw line from it. The system uses a single control valve to equalize the fuel tank levels by use of a dual draw single return system. The system is split into a primary and secondary tank. The fuel level senders send information to an electronic controller generating a signal to the solenoid or control valve when a specific fuel level difference exists. Activating the solenoid or control valve from closed to open, located in the draw side fuel line from the secondary tank, fuel is drawn from both tanks. The return goes only to the primary tank. When the levels are equalized, the electronic controller sends signal to the control valve to close.

  • Publication number: 20060086396
Abstract: In an electromagnetic hydraulic control valve for driving a spool type valve by means of an electromagnetic actuator, the electromagnetic actuator has a plunger and a core stator which slide on each other. Therefore their magnetic efficiency along their radial directions gets better and magnetic radial force generated at the plunger is suppressed to a constant level. Thus, increase of hysteresis in a high stroke range can be suppressed. In addition, magnetic radial force along the radial direction is stably generated even in a low stroke range, because of magnetic efficiency. This suppresses vibration of the plunger, and therefore an orifice used conventionally can be disused. By disusing the orifice, the influence of the viscosity of oil is reduced and a response of the spool at low temperature can be improved.

Abstract: A pencil sharpener includes a frame, a drive mechanism, a transmission mechanism, a cutting mechanism, and a pencil-core adjustment mechanism. The pencil-core adjustment mechanism is constituted of a core stopper shaft, an elastic body, and a core adjustment switch constituted of electrode plates aligned in parallel and provided with a projection for making contact to establish an electrically conductive state. A pencil inserted into the cutting mechanism presses against and turns ON a switch provided in the drive mechanism to transmit power from the electric power supply unit to the drive device, thereby operating the cutting mechanism via the transmission mechanism to sharpen the pencil. When the pencil is pressed against the upper end of the core stopper shaft, a disk of the core stopper shaft contacts and pushes down one end of the longer electrode plate to separate the projection of the longer electrode plate from the shorter electrode plate, thereby turning OFF the core adjustment switch.

The abrasive forces acting in the transfer direction are exerted to the material to be transferred simultaneously on both of the partial surfaces between the stationary centre portion and the stationary side surfaces. The abrasive forces acting in the return direction are exerted non-simultaneously as well with respect to the abrasive forces in the transfer direction as with each other. The invention further concerns a respective apparatus.

Abstract: The “Cross-Cut Log Tile” is a product who's primary design is to add style and luxury to homes, offices, hotels, resorts, and where ever it may be applicable. Previous to the invention of the “Cross-Cut Log Tile”, no other product on the market contained the design stated here. Traditionally, homeowners could only choose wood products that are different in color to diversify their homes and offices. For example, if a home owner wanted to install wooden flooring, the only choice available was a single design that varied only in the color and size of the pieces of the product. The wood was cut vertically for every piece, thus they all looked the same. So the only choice a person would have is the color of the wood. Now comes the “Cross-Cut Log Tile”. For the first time ever, wood is cut horizontally. As a result, the product contains a dazzling display of wood circles, with the natural beauty of wood exposed like never before.
