Abstract: The present invention provides a pulse detonation insert that induces flow obstructions within the pulse detonation chambers, wherein the flow obstructions are operable to induce turbulence within a primary fluid flow passing over the obstructions. This turbulence may take the form of vortices that enhance the mixing of the oxidizer and fuel within the primary flow. Additionally, supports couple to the pulse detonation chamber walls and flow obstructions to hold the flow obstructions in place within the pulse detonation chamber. The combustion/Detonation of the mixed oxidizing fuel results in an increased velocity of the primary flow exiting the pulse detonation chamber and reduced the amount of unburnt fuel within the exhaust.

Abstract: A heat regenerative engine uses water as both the working fluid and the lubricant. In operation, water is pumped from a collection pan and through a coil around a cylinder exhaust port, causing the water to be preheated by steam exhausted from the cylinder. The preheated water then enters a steam generator and is heated by a combustion chamber to produce high pressure super heated steam. Air is preheated in a heat exchanger and is then mixed with fuel from a fuel atomizer. An igniter burns the atomized fuel as the flames and heat are directed in a centrifuge within the combustion chamber. The speed and torque of the engine are controlled by a rocker and cam arrangement which opens a needle-type valve to inject high pressure super heated steam into a cylinder having a reciprocating piston therein. The injected steam expands in an explosive action on the top of the piston at high pressure forcing the piston down and drivingly rotating a linked crank cam and crankshaft.

A fuel control logic that controls the fuel flow cutback below the minimum blowout fuel schedule is provided. Abstract: A vacuum device comprises a plurality of cryopumps (10), particularly a plurality of cryopumps connected in parallel. Further, at least one compressor device (16) is provided which is connected to the cryopumps (10) via medium supply conduits (12). A medium return conduit (14) is also connected to the compressor device (16) and the cryopumps (10). Arranged between the medium supply conduit (12) and the medium return conduit (14) is a storage container (20) for medium. Further, a pressure measurement device (30) is provided in the medium supply conduit (12). The pressure measurement device (30) is connected, via a control unit (32), to a supply valve (26). To keep the pressure difference at the cryopumps (10) as constant as possible, the supply valve (26) is opened when a threshold value of the pressure in the medium supply conduit (12) is exceeded, thus causing medium to flow into the storage container (20).

Abstract: A method of controlling a ceiling type air conditioner to rapidly generate uniform airflow in a room is disclosed. The method includes the steps of controlling the angle of the vanes to be a predetermined maximum angle to increase the airflow to a maximum airflow when initiating the ceiling type air conditioner, and decreasing the angle of the vanes from the maximum angle to a predetermined minimum angle step by step by a predetermined time interval to adjust the airflow. The airflow with the maximum rate can be supplied when initiating the air conditioner such that the chilled/heated airflow rapidly reaches the floor to improve the satisfaction of people in the indoor region. The rate of the airflow varies as time passes so that the uniform airflow can be rapidly supplied and the air conditioning efficiency can be improved.

In each of the indoor units, one heat exchanger is used as a condenser, and another heat exchanger is used as an evaporator, thereby causing the indoor unit to perform a temperature and humidity controlling operation.
