Abstract: An ink ejection arrangement for an inkjet printhead is provided. The arrangement comprises an ink chamber, a nozzle defined in a first wall of the ink chamber and an ink ejector positioned within an aperture defined in an opposite, second wall of the ink chamber. The ink chamber is arranged in fluid communication with an ink supply channel via the aperture so as to supply ink to the nozzle. The ink ejector incorporates a movable paddle which is operable to cause ejection of ink from the nozzle and resupply of ink to the ink chamber from the ink supply channel. The adjacent, peripheral regions of the second wall and the paddle are configured to define a bicuspid valve between the ink chamber and the ink supply channel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for displaying images. To combat the copying of images by a camcorder in a cinema auditorium, modulating the luminance of the pixels of a pattern around the value to be displayed to a high frequency which makes the pattern invisible to the human eye but which generates artefacts on the sequence filmed by the camcorder is known. According to the invention, it is proposed to temporally modulate the pattern only in the fixed areas (background or indoor scenes) or, where appropriate, the areas with weak movements. Thus, rather than degrading the image in the areas with movement by applying to them the temporal modulation processing, a decision is taken not to temporally modulate the pattern in these critical areas.

The systems and methods convert relative image data produced by a camera to absolute light intensity data using a compensation factor. The compensation factor accommodates for hardware and specific imaging conditions in the imaging system that variably affect camera output. The present invention determines the compensation factor based on assessing the output of the camera against a known light source for a specific set of imaging conditions in the imaging system. The compensation factor is then stored in memory corresponding to the specific set of imaging conditions. Upon subsequent imaging with the set of imaging conditions, the corresponding compensation factor is called from memory and applied to the camera output. Abstract: An illuminated control button with an eccentric switch and a button spring configured to substantially balance the mechanical resistance of the switch when the button is depressed. The switch may be a conventional push-button switch having a stem directly contacting a portion of the control button. The button spring may include an integral reflector and may have a rim that defines a surface engaging the button. The control button may include a fixed light source and the reflector may move about the light source when the control button is depressed. The present invention also provides a control button with a light source at least partially contained within an integrating sphere. In one embodiment, the integrating sphere includes a somewhat cup-shaped diffusely reflective surface that cooperates with a diffusely reflective surface on the back surface of the button to substantially evenly distribute light from the light source throughout the integrating sphere.

Image quality of an image to be recorded on a storage medium 200 or 210 is determined by an operation unit 70. A system control circuit 50 stores a first image having an image quality determined by the operation unit 70 in a first folder on the storage medium 200 or 210, and stores a second image having an image quality determined by the operation unit 70 and different from the image quality of the first image in a second folder on the storage medium 200 or 210.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus captures an image in a shooting operation and records an image file in a folder of a recording medium. A user interface enables a user to set the units of date/time for automatically creating a new folder that can store image files. A first storage unit stores the units of date/time being set by the user through the user interface. A folder creation unit creates a new folder in the recording medium by the units of date/time stored in the first storage unit. And, a recording unit records the image file obtained by the shooting operation in the new folder created by the folder creation unit.

The digital zooming apparatus includes an adjusting module, a first image-processing module, a storage module and a second image-processing module. The adjusting module connected to the sensor receives the sensed image and adjusts the sensed image according to a zooming factor to produce an adjusted image. The first image-processing module connected to the adjusting module processes the adjusted image according to a first predetermined condition and a second predetermined condition to produce a first image. The storage module connected to the first image-processing module stores the first image. The second image-processing module connected to the storage module receives the first image and processes the first image according to the second predetermined condition to produce a second image.
