Publication number: 20070024058Abstract: A wind turbine system includes a variable blade assembly including adjustable sails and wing shaped masts expanding the wind velocity capture envelope. The blade assembly turns a hydraulic pump, which pressurizes fluid and stores the pressurized fluid in a chamber in the support tower. Pressurized fluid is directed via an electronically controllable proportioning valve to a hydraulic motor which is coupled to an electric generator. A computer control module operates the proportioning valve regulating pressure to the hydraulic motor, maintaining generator rotational speed, and providing consistent output frequency to the power grid. Stored energy in the high pressure tank is used to continue generator operation after the winds cease, allowing early warning notification to the power management system of impending power loss. Residual pressure maintained in the high pressure tank allows restart operations via hydraulic pressure rather than power grid energy drain.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2005Publication date: February 1, 2007Inventor: Frank McClintic

Specifically, the side arms define a back tilt axis about which the back rotates upon recline. The back includes a back structure with configured ends that engage the side arms for rotation about the back tilt axis, and further define a seat tilt axis for supporting rotation/movement of the seat upon recline of the back.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2006Publication date: February 1, 2007Inventors: Glenn Knoblock, Daryl Knoblock, Arnold Dammermann, Larry DeKraker, Kurt Heidmann, Gordon Peterson, Charles Roossien, David Teppo

Publication number: 20070024101Abstract: A footrest assembly for a massage chair comprises a pivotal seat, a connecting seat, a stretchable rack, a connecting rod assembly and a motor assembly. A screw shaft is mounted on the connecting seat, and a drive block is screwed on the screw shaft. A first rail is mounted between the pivotal seat and the connecting seat. A second rail is mounted between the connecting seat and the stretchable rack, the connecting rod assembly is disposed between the pivotal seat and the stretchable rack, and the drive block drives the connecting rod assembly to move forward or backward. The motor assembly comprises a motor and a gear set and serves to rotate the screw shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2005Publication date: February 1, 2007Inventor: Wen-Hsu Hsieh

Publication number: 20070024102Abstract: A sling chair includes a back frame member having side rails held in substantially parallel relation by a pair of cross bar members. In one embodiment, the cross bar members are generally curved so as to extend away from the back faces of the side rails, forming a concave back structure which can receive a sling member and, eventually, a seated occupant. The cross bar members are adapted to retain the sling member in secure fashion through upper and lower backrest assemblies, resulting in better support and more efficient assembly. The present invention also facilitates separate provisioning of decorative features to improve the chair's aesthetic qualities.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2005Publication date: February 1, 2007Inventor: Oliver Wang

Publication number: 20070024107Abstract: A method of controlling a trailer brake system using a trailer brake controller positioned within a passenger vehicle is provided. The method includes obtaining intended braking inputs and developing an effective baseline trailer brake controller output profile based thereon. The method scales the effective baseline trailer brake controller output profile in response to an adjustable gain setting set by an operator. A vehicle velocity is obtained and used to calculate a correction factor to the effective baseline trailer brake controller output profile. The effective baseline trailer brake controller output profile is then adjusted using the correction factor to generate a corrected trailer brake controller output signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2005Publication date: February 1, 2007Applicant: FORD MOTOR COMPANYInventors: Doug Marsden, Kirk Englert, Erick Lavoie
