Publication number: 20070039383Abstract: It's a device which purpose is to monitor the storage and indicate that a frozen product has been subjected to a thermal variation, with temperature rise, causing the fusion and liquefaction of a fluid (H) contained in said sensor. Said sensor comprises a hollow, cylindrical tube (2) with an open end (3), featuring a releasable cap (17) and a closed end (4), with a slidable piston (5) inside the tube (2). A compartment (C1), inside the tube (2), placed between the piston (5) and the end (4), is fulfilled with a compressed fluid (0)/spring (M), and a compartment (C2) placed between the piston (5) and the end (3), is fulfilled with said fluid (H), frozen, in the solid state. Upon the thawing of the product, the fluid (H) also taws, escaping the compartment (C2) and allowing the movement of the piston (5), pushed by the fluid (0). Said movement of the piston (5) is irreversible and constitutes the sensor's visual indication revealing that the product has been thaw.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2003Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Tatiana Dip

Publication number: 20070039384Abstract: A sensor involving a housing having a lower orifice to which a primary hose is connected. A secondary hose inside the primary hose is slightly shorter than the primary hose, with these hoses being placed inside a bin for determining fill level. One of two upper orifices in the housing is connected to a supply of air under pressure, with this air normally caused to flow outwardly from one of the hoses. Upon the degree of the fill of the bin being such that the material approaches the remote end of one of the hoses, the air normally flowing from the one hose is caused to be deflected into the remote end of the other of the hoses, causing a pressure increase. This pressure increase is directed through the other upper orifice, for being sensed at remotely located pressure sensing equipment.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2005Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Daniel Smith

Publication number: 20070039392Abstract: A capacitative pressure sensor (30) for harsh environments such as vehicle tires. The sensor has two opposing electrodes (36 and 50). One electrode is a membrane (50) that extends between fluid at a reference pressure and fluid at the pressure to be sensed. In use, the flexible membrane (50) deflects due to pressure differentials between the reference pressure and the fluid pressure. Associated circuitry converts the deflection into a signal indicative of the pressure to be sensed. The membrane is a laminate at least partially formed from a transition metal nitride because transition metal nitrides are a metal ceramics with high yield strength and metallic bonding that makes it suitable for use in extreme environments. They can also readily include an oxidizing component such as aluminium so that the membrane form a passivating surface oxide layer to protect it from oxidative failure.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2006Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventors: Kia Silverbrook, Samuel Mallinson

Publication number: 20070039422Abstract: A multi-piece tool system for use with access obstructed spark plugs in an internal combustion engine including a plurality of spark plug sockets each comprising a unitary construction and having a different length. Each socket includes an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion including an upper external hex surface for cooperating with a wrench for turning the spark plug in the engine. The lower portion is flared and includes a lower internal hex surface for capturing a corresponding external male hex surface formed on the spark plug. A center through bore passes between the upper portion and the lower portion for receiving a body of the spark plug. A vertical mill slot is formed in the lower internal hex surface for shortening the effective length of the socket for facilitating the installation onto the spark plug at an installation angle of ninety degrees.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2006Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Scott Rogers

Publication number: 20070039423Abstract: An exemplary embodiment providing one or more improvements includes a tool which greatly facilitates the disassembly and assembly of a single-arm faucet. Embodiments of the tool include a wrench end which is used to remove the adjusting ring from the top of the faucet. The faucet then can be readily disassembled using the compressor end of the tool and maintenance or repair accomplished. Reassembly involves use of the compressor end of the tool to compress the cam, which greatly facilitates the assembly process. Assembly is finished by use of the wrench end to engage and adjust the adjusting ring. Embodiments include a tool carrier. Other embodiments include an expander wrench attachment and a reducer wrench attachment which extend the utility of the tool to a wide variety of models of single-arm faucets.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2005Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Pedro Guillermo

Publication number: 20070039425Abstract: A screwdriver comprises a torque setting mechanism including a torque adjustment ring, an actuation rod threadedly secured to the upper torque adjustment ring and a lower torque adjustment nut, a spring biased sleeve with the actuation rod passed, and a clutch ring snugly put on two opposing intermediate flats of the actuation rod and having an upper surface engaged the torque adjustment ring and a lower surface formed with recesses engaged with steel balls on an upper surface of a support ring in the sleeve. Turning a rotatable handle will turn the sleeve. The clutch ring will disengage with the steel balls if the torque exceeds a set value. Thus, the torque exerted on the handle will not transmit to a shank secured to the actuation rod so as to prevent a screw from being over-driven by the shank.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2005Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Chun Wang
