Abstract: A device for connecting and supporting electrical fixtures includes a male electrical plug, a mating female electrical socket and a releasable latch assembly for both holding the plug in the socket and mechanically mounting the fixture on a supporting surface or an electrical box. The plug is provided with concentric, ring shaped male connectors that are matingly received within similarly shaped female recesses in the socket to allow the fixture to be rotated to any of a plurality or mounting orientations. The releasable latch assembly is controlled by the stroke of a simple push rod operated by a user's thumb or finger. A cover may be used for covering the socket when a plug is not installed.

Abstract: A card holder for a mobile electronic device for receiving accessory cards, which includes a substantially cuboidal housing having an open front face for inserting accessory cards, the housing including a back face, a left and a right lateral face, and a top and a bottom face, at least two guiding elements protruding from the interior side of the left and right lateral faces, respectively, and extending parallel to and between said top and said bottom face. The guiding elements define an upper slot of a first height h1 between the top face and the guiding elements and a lower slot of a second height h2 between the bottom face and the guiding elements, for receiving accessory cards of first height h1 and second height h2, respectively, and the upper and the lower slots together define a combined slot for receiving an accessory card of a third height h3.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus has an enclosure body defining an opening for receiving a plug. A restraint member is disposed in the opening. The restraint member is designed to contact the plug. When the plug is inserted into the opening so as to reach the connector, the plug contacts the restraint member within the opening. Even when an impact is applied to the plug, the movement of the plug is thus restrained based on the contact between the plug and the restraint member. No impact is transmitted to the connector. The connector is thus reliably prevented from getting damaged.

Abstract: An electrical connector is adapted for mounting onto a panel having an opening and slots formed along the opening. A mating connector is disposed within the panel. The connector includes a housing having projections configured and disposed to engage the panel opening, corresponding projections and slots properly aligning the connector with the panel opening. Once the connector engages the panel opening, the connector is moved so that the connector projections are misaligned with the panel opening, preventing removal of the connector from the panel opening. A latch slidably engaged along the connector housing is actuated to a latched position so that the latch is positioned within the panel opening, preventing relative movement of the connector with respect to the panel. The latch cannot be removed from the connector by actuating the latch from a latched to an unlatched position.

Abstract: A connector is provided for terminating coaxial cable. The connector includes a connector body having a cable receiving end and an opposed connection end. A locking sleeve is provided in detachable, re-attachable snap engagement with the insertion end of the connector body for securing the cable in the connector body. The cable may be terminated to the connector by inserting the cable into the locking sleeve or the locking sleeve may be detachably removed from the connector body and the cable inserted directly into the cable body with the locking sleeve detached subsequently.

Abstract: A connector equipped with an insulant comprising four channels. Each channel is able to receive at the location of a rear extremity a strand of a cable, and at the location of a front extremity an end of a contact in order to connect each strand to an end. The connector comprises a ferrule equipped with four cavities arranged in such a way that a front extremity of each cavity coincides with a rear extremity of a channel of the insulant in such a way that each strand connected to an end in the connector extends in a cavity of the ferrule and in a corresponding channel of the insulant. The invention also relates to a process for fitting the coaxial cables in such a connector.

Abstract: A HDMI connector includes a dielectric housing, a plurality of terminals, a support board, an upper lid, a lower lid and wires. The dielectric housing has a plurality of terminal grooves extending from a front sidewall to a rear sidewall. The terminals are inserted into the terminal grooves. The support board connects with the rear sidewall of the dielectric housing. A plurality of channels are disposed on a top surface and a bottom surface thereon. The upper lid has a plurality of first clip grooves disposed on the lower surface, and a plurality of protrusions are formed therebetween. The lower lid has a plurality of second clip grooves disposed on the upper surface, and a plurality of protrusions are formed therebetween. The wires are arranged in the channels connecting with the terminals. The upper lid and the lower lid buckle with the channels to fix the wires in the channels.

Abstract: A modular bare die socket assembly is provided for attaching a plurality of miniature semiconductor dice to a substrate. The socket assembly is comprised of a plurality of two-sided plates joined vertically in a horizontal stack, wherein each plate has a die socket for the removable insertion of a bare semiconductor die. A multi-layer interconnect lead tape has a plurality of lithographically formed leads bent on one end to form nodes for attachment to bond pads on the removably inserted semiconductor die, and having opposing ends connectable to the substrate.

Abstract: Embodiments of methods and apparatus for plating a PCI Express edge connector are described. In one embodiment a printed circuit board having connectors is employed for electroplating one or more of the connectors formed thereon. The printed circuit board comprises a substrate having one or more layers, and a plurality of connectors formed on one or more of the layers, wherein at least one connector includes at least one short pin and at least one extra pin. The at least one extra pin extends beyond an outer shape of the printed circuit board after fabrication. The printed circuit board also includes connection circuitry formed on one or more of the layers, wherein the connection circuitry is configured to electrically connect the short pin with the extra pin at least during electroplating of said short pin.

Abstract: An automobile connector assembly connects a power supply side and an electrical load side of an electrical circuit in an automobile. The assembly comprises a female terminal connector disposed on the electrical load side of the electric circuit. The female terminal connector has a female housing provided with female terminals positioned within female terminal accommodating openings. A male terminal connector mates with the female terminal connector. The male terminal connector is disposed on the power supply side of the electric circuit and has an insulating male housing provided with male terminals. Insulating resin members cover tip ends and both side surfaces of each of the male terminals to prevent short-circuiting and are discharge between adjacent terminals. The female and male terminals may include power supply and signal terminals, and the female terminals may include exposed portions for test probe use.

The screw hole is corresponding to a screw part of the screw member and the fixing slot is corresponding to a fixing part of the screw member. Accordingly, when the screw member and the fixing side plate are attached to the insulator, the power connector corresponding to the power plug can be firmly assembled by fixing the track of fixing side plate into the slideway of latching slot.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to terminals that are utilized in bulb sockets for automotive lamp assemblies. The embodiments of the bulb sockets disclosed provide for superior alignment, electrical connection, and stabilization of the bulb in the bulb socket. Exemplary embodiments of the terminals contain a cover plate that can be sized to substantially cover a receiver slot and can be positioned in the bulb socket in order to prevent sealing material from entering the bulb accepting portion of the bulb socket.

Abstract: An electrical connecting terminal with a connecting terminal housing has on its wide side a housing wall and bus bars running one above the other are disposed in the housing configured for connecting conductor connections arranged on opposite sides of the connecting terminal housing. The conductor connections are arranged laterally offset to each other in the longitudinal direction of the bus bars. The bus bars are connectable to each other by mean of an electrical component. To ensure that uncurved plates with the simplest geometry can be used as potential connectors between two bus bars arranged one above the other, at least one bus bar is curved in its course between the conductor connections in the direction of the housing wall.

The transmission shaft extends in an inclined orientation relative to a bottom of the hull between the engine drive shaft and the upper drive shaft. The vessel includes a stern drive attached to the transom, wherein the stern drive operatively couples the upper drive shaft to a propeller.

The distal end portions of each spacer are impregnated with electrically conductive material and constitute conductivity-imparting portions.

Abstract: A method of simulating real-life motion of a character includes providing a toy having a plurality of interconnected links. The links are rotatably attached to one another and the character is attached to one of the links. The method also includes grasping the toy by holding two different links that are separated by at least two other links, one of which is the link to which the character is attached. Abstract: A multi-facet decoration assembly is provided, comprising multiple polygonal grates with equilateral sides. Each corner of the polygonal grate has one catch pin and one slot pin disposed on the underside. This unique decoration ball assembly can be easily assembled by snapping multiple polygonal grates together so that all catch pins and slot pins on all polygonal grates are locked against each other. The decoration ball can be easily stored away when the polygonal grates and the panels are knocked down occupying only a small space, thus the storage and transportation costs can be reduced considerably.

Abstract: The invention is a yo-yo that includes features that enable a user to adjust the yo-yo's responsiveness. Each of the yo-yo's sides has a movable shuttle having a tether engagement surface. By changing the position of one or both shuttles, a user can affect the yo-yo's ability to return on command. Preferably, the yo-yo also includes readily visible indicia associated with the shuttle's positioning apparatus so that a user can easily set and/or ascertain the yo-yo's responsiveness setting. A user can also change the yo-yo's responsiveness by replacing one set of shuttles with another set that has different tether engagement adaptations. The yo-yo may also include a conventional adjustable string gap and removable rim members.

The polishing medium can further include a chelating agent. The microelectronic substrate can undergo an electrolytic and nonelectrolytic processing on the same polishing pad, or can be moved from one polishing pad to another while being supported by a single substrate carrier.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for planarizing a microelectronic substrate. In one aspect of the invention, a first portion of an energy-sensitive, non-sacrificial planarizing pad material is exposed to a selected energy without exposing a second portion of the material to the selected energy source. The planarizing pad material is exposed to a solvent to remove material from one of the first or second portions of the planarizing pad material at a faster rate than removing material from the other of the first and second portions. The process forms a plurality of recesses directly in the surface of the planarizing pad which are configured to support a planarizing liquid proximate to the surface of the planarizing pad material during planarization of the microelectronic substrate. Alternatively, the process can form a mold having protrusions that are pressed into the planarizing pad to define the recesses in the pad.

This invention provides a polishing pad which can have abrasive grains mixed at very high density without using slurry, and generates few scratches by preventing aggregation of abrasive grains dispersed therein.
