Abstract: There is provided an active matrix EL display device that can display a clear multi gray-scale color display to reduce the shift in the potential caused by the potential drop due to the wiring resistance of a power source supply line, in order to decrease the unevenness in a display region. A plurality of drawing out ports of the power source supply line are arranged. Further, in the wiring resistance between the external input terminal and the pixel portion power source supply line, potential compensation is performed by supplying potential to the power source supply line by a feedback amplifier. Further, in addition to above structure, the power source supply line may be arranged in a matrix.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for driving an electrophoretic display device with reduced image retention. Image transitions in respect of all pixels are performed during each image update, irrespective of whether the optical state of a pixel is required to change or not. Thus, pixels without substantial optical state change between a first image update period and a subsequent image update period are forced to update during the subsequent image update period. The drive waveforms, in particular those to be applied for updating pixels without substantial optical state change, are preferably configured such that the net DC voltage is substantially zero after every single image transition.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a main body; a display portion, a responsive member and a frictional sliding member. The display portion is supported by the main body rotatably about an axis of a rotary shaft so as to extend and retract with respect to the main body. The responsive member reciprocates in a guide groove formed in the main body as a result of the extension and retraction of the display portion. The responsive member includes a first end rotatably attached to a rear side of the display portion at a position offset from the axis of the rotary shaft, and a second end including with an engagement piece engaged with the guide groove. The frictional sliding member is disposed along the guide groove and, when compressed by the engagement piece of the responsive member, the frictional sliding member applies a frictional force to the reciprocating responsive member. An image forming apparatus may include such an electronic apparatus.

Abstract: An application on a thin client displays a map. A graphical user interface permits the application to receive single gesture inputs of a stylus. If the single gesture input comprises a drag of the stylus a minimum distance, the map is panned such that the map is shifted to a new center view. The displayed map may contain one or more map objects. If the input comprises a single tap on a specific map object, the map object under the tap may be selected and highlighted. Further, a ToolTip for the map object may be displayed. A further tap of the ToolTip may result in the navigation to a link or URL associated with the map object selected. One or more zoom buttons may also be displayed. If a zoom button is tapped by the user, the map may be displayed in a different level of detail.

Abstract: The invention relates to a DLP-projector for the active projection of stereoscopic images, with the projector comprising a DMD, at least a first driver circuit interacting with a memory (6) and controlling at least one DMD (4), and at least a first signal input (1) for the input of image data of at least a first image channel and a second image channel. In order to enable simplest possible construction of such a DLP-projector, there are provided: A second driver circuit interacting with a memory (6?); and a switching device (7), which is connected on one side with the two driver circuits and on the other side with at least the one DMD (4); with the first driver circuit processing image data of the first image channel and the second driver circuit processing image data of the second image channel; and the switching device directing to the DMD (4) alternately one or more images or frames from the first driver circuit and one or more images or frames from the second driver circuit.

Abstract: A 3D modeling workflow system is disclosed that allows the user to create multiple 2D planes or paint canvases in the 3D scene each having a position and orientation. These 2D planes can be arbitrarily positioned in the 3D scene and can contain a combination of paint and model construction geometry. The construction geometry can span multiple 2D planes. The user is allowed to sketch on the planes using paint and create curve geometry in and between the planes using the sketches as a reference. Collectively the 2D planes allow a 3D object to be represented with different types of input where portions of the object are drawn in by paint and other or the same portions are composed of geometry. The user can swap between painting on the 2D planes and creating model geometry as needed.

Said method comprising the steps of: determining an inverse affine transform (BT) for transforming an intermediate rectangle triangle (T0) into an input triangle (T1); determining a direct affine transform (FT) for transforming the intermediate rectangle triangle (T0) into an output triangle (T2); applying the inverse affine transform to intermediate points of the intermediate rectangle triangle (T0) so as to determine intermediate intensity values corresponding to said intermediate points on the basis of input intensity values of texels; and applying the direct affine transform to the intermediate points so as to determine output intensity values of pixels on the basis of the intermediate intensity values.

Abstract: Changes to the outputs of a dependency graph, which has attribute nodes and operator nodes, are detected by forming product proxies for the outputs of dependency graph nodes. The product proxies can be formed by entering information about the dependency graph into a hashing algorithm. Before and after product proxies are then used to determine if the outputs have changed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a signal processing device and signal processing method, and program and recording medium, whereby images and the like closer approximating real world signals can be obtained. An actual world estimating unit 17003 estimates the actual world function, assuming that the pixel value of each pixel corresponding to a position in the x direction of image data wherein real world light signals are projected on a plurality of pixels each having the time-space integration effects, and part of the continuity of the real world light signals has been lost is a pixel value acquired by integrating the actual world function corresponding to the real world light signals approximated with a spline function in the x direction. An image generating unit 17004 generates an image by integrating the actual world function in the x direction in predetermined increments.

Abstract: The principles of the present invention relate to appropriately rendering a graphical object when a corresponding outline has exact or inexact control points. Based on the positions of control points on an outline it is calculated, that between a first parent control point and a second parent control point, the outline passes approximately though the center of a grid location. The positions of the first and second parent control points are adjusted by a first and second fraction of the size of a grid location respectively. The position of the child control point is realigned along a second axis of the grid space based on the positions of the first and second parent control points. The child control point position is rounded by a fraction of the size of a grid location based on the positions of the first and second parent control points.
