Abstract: A flat lighting source is provided which is capable of applying illuminating light to an entire display region of a display panel. A current or voltage is supplied from each LED (Light Emitting Diode) driving/correcting circuit to each LED. Part of light emitted from each of the LEDs is converted into electrical signals and a resistance value of each photodiode decreases in proportion to luminance. If luminance of light emitted from each of the LEDs increases, a resistance value of each of the photodiodes decreases while the luminance of light emitted from each of the LEDs decreases. The resistance value is fed back to each of the LED driving/correcting circuits which changes a driving current or a driving voltage so that luminance of light emitted from each of the LEDs corresponds to a luminance setting voltage. The photodiode is mounted in a one-to-one relationship for every LED.

Abstract: An LC device having a substrate, a support layer having upper and lower sides formed on the substrate, inductors formed on either the upper or lower side of the support layer, and capacitors formed in the opposite side of the support layer. The support layer may be formed of a low-k dielectric material, and a connection portion may be provided to connect the inductors and capacitors in the support layer. The inductors and capacitors are disposed in a stacked structure on the upper and lower sides of the low-k dielectric support layer on the substrate, so that space efficiency may be maximized on the substrate. The low-k dielectric support layer provides support between the inductors and capacitors so that substrate loss is minimized and a Q factor of the inductors is enhanced.

Abstract: The present invention provides a soft-transition controller for use with a synchronous converter having primary and secondary rectifiers. In one embodiment, the soft-transition controller includes a primary driver configured to provide a primary drive signal to the primary rectifier operating in a synchronous mode, while the secondary rectifier is operating in a diode mode, to provide an output voltage of the synchronous rectifier. Additionally, the soft-transition controller also includes a complementary driver coupled to the primary driver and configured to provide a soft-transition drive signal during a transition period, which transfers the secondary rectifier from the diode mode to a synchronous mode while maintaining the output voltage within a predetermined voltage range.
