Abstract: A V-pack filter includes a frame construction having a first frame structure and a second frame structure. The V-pack filter also includes first and second panel sections mounted in extension between the first and second frame structures. The first panel section has first and second ends. The second panel section has third and fourth ends. The first and third ends have a first distance therebetween while the second and fourth ends have a second distance therebetween. The second distance is generally greater than the first distance. The first and second panel sections and the second frame structure define an air flow aperture. A seal arrangement circumscribes the air flow aperture and projects outwardly from the second frame structure. The first frame structure defines a first receiver indent. Assemblies and methods are also included.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide low-profile surface mount filters. One embodiment of the present invention includes a filter housing adapted to mount on a substrate block having a plurality of flow paths and a filter cavity defined therein. The filter cavity is defined to extend in a generally horizontal direction when the low-profile filter is in use. A first flow passage is defined to connect an inlet of the filter housing to a first section of the filter cavity and a second flow passage is defined to connect a second section of the filter cavity to an outlet of the filter housing. A filter assembly is disposed in the filter cavity and sealed to the surface of the filter cavity separating the filter cavity into adjacent sections including the first section of the filter cavity and second section of the filter cavity.

Abstract: This invention describes the combination of an electrostatically operated valve and an electrically heated desorber, comprising a movable flap carrying a chemically adsorbing coating, suspended by an elastic element above an orifice in an insulated substrate. The device is constructed by planar processing. The flap can be deflected towards the substrate to block the flow of gas through the orifice by applying a voltage between the substrate and the flap. The coating provides an adsorbing surface for a volatile organic compound. The coating may be heated electrically, by applying an alternating voltage between the substrate and the flap, thermally desorbing any adsorbed chemical species. When combined with other similar valves in a stacked assembly, the device may be using in a chemical pre-concentrator with very low dead volume.

The unheated water reservoir is pressurized with a pressurizing apparatus communicating with the unheated water reservoir. Such a pressurizing apparatus may include an air pump, bladder or piston arrangement as well as other pressurizing apparatus. The pressurizing apparatus is controllable to push water from the unheated water reservoir to the heated water reservoir. Abstract: An ink for ink-jet recording is provided in which copper phthalocyanine dyes and a thiazole-based compound are used. In this ink, the mildew resistant properties are not impaired, and the ink exhibits excellent ozone resistance. Furthermore, the formation of a precipitate is prevented in the ink although the thiazole-based compound is used. In the ink for ink-jet recording, as copper phthalocyanine dyes, two types of dyes are used together with a thiazole-based compound. Furthermore, about 1 mol % to about 20 mol % of the total counter ions in the two types of copper phthalocyanine dyes are ammonium ions or organic ammonium ions.

It is produced in that a mixture of silicon halide, titanium halide, hydrogen and primary air is ignited in a burner and the flame is burned into a reaction chamber closed off from the surrounding air, and secondary air and a gas, which increases the temperature in the reaction chamber by combustion and/or which slows down the cooling in the reaction chamber because of low heat transfer, are additionally introduced into the reaction chamber It can be used in toner compositions.

Abstract: A hydraulic cement based on calcium phosphate for surgical use comprising A) a first component comprising powder particles of calcium phosphate; and B) a second component comprising water. The calcium phosphate comprises anhydrous, amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and the ACP is obtained by milling a calcium phosphate synthesized above 500° C. The cement according to the invention has the advantage of being very fast setting compared to prior art calcium phosphate cements. The setting reaction is finished much faster although the initial part of the reaction proceeds at the same speed as with known cements.
