Publication number: 20070201218Abstract: A vehicle lamp assembly includes a transmission axle coupled to a lamp unit, and a drive unit for driving the transmission axle to rotate such that the lamp unit is movable to a selected one of a default position, where the illuminating direction of the lamp unit is parallel to a vehicle axis, and left and right limit positions, where the illuminating direction forms left and right limit angles with the vehicle axis, respectively. A detecting device generates a default position signal when the lamp unit is at the default position. A control device is operable to control the drive unit for restoring the lamp unit to the default position with reference to the default position signal, and for moving the lamp unit according to angular displacement of a vehicle steering linkage system.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2006Publication date: August 30, 2007Inventors: Sheng-Lung Wu, Chien-Hung Lee

Publication number: 20070201222Abstract: A tool hand tube rod which comprises a long hollow rod body; having a receiving space; a lateral side of the rod body having an open hole; and one end of the rod body having a inserting end; a driving head inserted into the inserting end of the rod body; a strain gauge installed within the receiving space near the inserting end; a processing unit installed in the receiving space; and a display protruded from the open hole. A strain force of the driving head can be measured by the strain gauge; then the measured value is transferred to the processing unit and then is displayed on the display. Or a lamp installed in the open hole and a switch installed below the lamp body. Or a plurality of driving heads are received in the receiving space.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2006Publication date: August 30, 2007Inventor: Chih-Ching Hsieh

Publication number: 20070201223Abstract: A renewable energy flashlight includes a flashlight housing, a light emitter carried by the housing, and a power source carried by the housing and powering the light emitter. The power source includes a charging magnet, at least one induction coil, and first and second repulsion members, all carried by the housing. The housing is configured to allow movement of the charging magnet between first and second positions within the housing. The induction coil carried is configured to allow movement of the charging magnet therethrough, thereby inducing current through the induction coil. Each repulsion member includes an elastic rebounding material reflexively seeded with at least one internal magnet. The first repulsion member is secured at the first position within the housing in polar opposition to the charging magnet. The second repulsion member secured at the second position within the housing in polar opposition to the charging magnet.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2007Publication date: August 30, 2007Applicant: RSGA INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Jon Long, Qian Tianming

Publication number: 20070201224Abstract: A retractable dimmer sleeve comprises sleeve material formed into an elongated enclosed passage having an open end and an interior volume for receiving an elongated light source. The dimmer sleeve enables, during operation of a light source while received within the sleeve, adjustment of a length of a selected portion of the light source that is occluded by the dimmer sleeve so that only a fraction of light emitted by the light source escapes the dimmer sleeve. The apparatus may further comprise an elongated light source at least partially enclosed by the dimmer sleeve. A method comprises: enclosing at least a portion of the light source with the retractable dimmer sleeve; and moving, during operation of the light source while received within the sleeve, an end of the dimmer sleeve along the light source, thereby adjusting a length of the light source that is occluded by the dimmer sleeve.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2005Publication date: August 30, 2007Inventor: Nathan Neckels

Publication number: 20070201225Abstract: An apparatus and method is characterized by providing an optical transfer function between a predetermined illuminated surface pattern, such as a street light pattern, and a predetermined energy distribution pattern of a light source, such as that from an LED. A lens is formed having a shape defined by the optical transfer function. The optical transfer function is derived by generating an energy distribution pattern using the predetermined energy distribution pattern of the light source. Then the projection of the energy distribution pattern onto the illuminated surface is generated. The projection is then compared to the predetermined illuminated surface pattern to determine if it acceptably matches. The process continues reiteratively until an acceptable match is achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2007Publication date: August 30, 2007Inventors: Ronald L. Holder, Greg Rhoads
