Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing compacted irons and an apparatus for manufacturing molten irons using the same. The apparatus for manufacturing compacted irons according to the present invention includes a charging hopper into which reduced materials containing fine reduced irons are charged, screw feeders installed inside the charging hopper to make an acute angle with a vertical direction and discharging the reduced materials containing fine reduced irons which enter into the charging hopper, and a couple of rolls separated from each other to form a gap between the rolls. The couple of rolls compact the reduced materials containing fine reduced irons discharged from the charging hopper by the screw feeders and manufacture compacted irons. Each screw feeders is arranged side by side along an axis direction of the couple of rolls and an extension of the center axis of each screw feeder passes through the gap.

Abstract: A double chamber single directional spiral tuyere for blast furnaces is disclosed. The tuyere includes a body unit, a spiral unit and a cover unit, with a body chamber having a body nose passage and a body main passage defined in the body unit, and a nose chamber having first, second, third and fourth spiral passages defined in both the spiral unit and the cover unit. The tuyere further includes a tunnel, which is formed in the spiral unit and the cover unit and connects a cooling water inlet to the first spiral passage. In the tuyere, a reverse-turning part, at which the flowing direction of cooling water is reversed at an angle of 180°, is eliminated from a cooling passage defined in the nose of the tuyere. Thus, cooling water can circulate in a single direction in the tuyere, resulting in efficient circulation of cooling water, reducing pressure loss and enabling cooling water to reach the nose of the tuyere, thereby providing maximum cooling performance.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for an adaptive, multi-axis suspension support system providing both coarse and fine suspension to a payload. Coarse suspension control is provided to maintain the payload within a coarse range of position. Fine suspension control is provided by monitoring and analyzing vibration characteristics in both time and frequency domains to determine the required amount of damper resistance to be exerted by a magnetorheological (MR) device.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a fluid-filled cylindrical damping assembly having sufficiently large extraction-resisting force in an axial direction of a metallic shaped product and an intermediate sleeve by the process following. There is provided a sealing rubber layer at an inner circumferential surface of the metallic shaped product having a tapered cylindrical shape where the inner flange portion is provided at an end portion of a small-diameter side. At least one concave groove is formed at an inside surface of an inner flange portion The metallic shaped product is inserted on an outer circumferential surface of an intermediate molded-body in a non-compressible fluid, and is diameter-reduced so as to be fitted and fixed. A large-diameter side end portion of the metallic shaped product is radially inwardly bent to form an engaging portion, and the engaging portion is engaged with a large-diameter side end portion of the intermediate sleeve.

Abstract: A composite shock-absorbing material comprised of kernel material, winding material, and a resin layer, and where the kernel material is spiraled by the winding material. A resin layer covers both the surfaces of both the kernel material and the winding material. Hence, the composite shock-absorbing material of the present invention is formed. A method of forming the composite shock-absorbing material includes providing kernel material and forming a winding material spiraling the kernel material and then forming a resin layer on the surfaces of the kernel material and the winding material.

Abstract: A rubber part having a metal fitting in which the metal fitting and the rubber part are integrated through an anti-corrosion chemical film formed on a surface of the metal fitting. The anti-corrosion chemical film is a zirconium-based chemical film that is harmless to human body and environment, and is transformable following the squeeze of the metal fitting. The rubber part having a metal fitting is produced by the steps of: degreasing an outer peripheral surface of the metal fitting, subjecting the surface to shot blasting treatment, degreasing the treated surface, and water washing the treated surface; forming a zirconium-based chemical film on the treated surface; water washing and drying an outer peripheral surface of the zirconium-based chemical film; forming an adhesive layer on the outer peripheral surface of the zirconium-based chemical film; and integrating the rubber part on the outer peripheral surface of the adhesive layer.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a spring structure having a contact-preventing and rigidity-reinforcing function for a bed mattress in which the structure of a connection end portion for connecting a body spring and an exposure wire spring to each other is improved such that the connection end portion is not in close contact with an uppermost winding and/or a lowermost winding of the body spring and such that when a load is exerted to an exposure wire spring a displacement is prevented from being generated in which the exposure wire spring is leaned to one side, and rigidity of the spring is reinforced so that the exposure wire spring ascends/descends vertically only, thereby easily preventing the lateral displacement and deformation of the spring along with a prevention of a noise due to a frictional contact to prolong the lifespan of the spring.

Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus includes a first processing unit, a second processing unit, a roller, a guide member, and a conveying unit. The first processing unit applies first processing to a recording medium. The second processing unit applies second processing to the recording medium. The roller has a conveying path to convey the recording medium from the first processing unit to the second processing unit along the outer circumference. The guide member guides the recording medium to the conveying path to lead the recording medium to the second processing unit. The conveying unit applies a conveying force to a stack of recording media at an upstream of the guide member in a recording-medium conveying direction.

Abstract: A paper-pickup clutch of an automatic paper-feeding device includes a clamping member and a clamping-force adjusting member and can be applied to image processors such as printers, copiers or scanners. The automatic paper-feeding device includes a shaft and a paper-pickup mechanism transmitted to picking up paper by the shaft. The paper-pickup clutch provides a bi-directional clutch function by moving the clamping member toward or away from the paper-pickup mechanism with the clamping-force adjusting member in order to adjust the clamping force of the clamping member working on the paper-pickup mechanism to a certain level. With the certain level of clamping force, the paper-pickup mechanism sustains against paper to be fed and self-rotates with the rotation of the shaft in a first direction for feeding paper and rotates with the shaft in a second direction for releasing paper without further changing the state of the paper-pickup clutch.

The second position is downstream from the first position along the media path. As a leading edge of the media sheet reaches the first position, the leading edge is prevented from passing the first position for an initial time period while the media sheet is being urged along the media path. As the leading edge reaches the second position, the leading edge is prevented from passing the second position for a subsequent time period while the media sheet is being urged along the media path.

The paper sheet supplying apparatus includes: a paper sheet accommodating section to accommodate paper sheets; a paper sheet feeding section to feed the paper sheets one by one from the paper sheet accommodating section; a dehumidification dryer to dehumidify the paper sheet accommodating section; and a control section to control the dehumidification dryer. Only when the control section receives paper kind information representing a specific kind of paper sheet, the control section activates and controls the dehumidification dryer, based on the paper kind information.

Abstract: A printing apparatus capable of duplex imaging that maintains the lead edge of a sheet constant, is disclosed. The printing apparatus includes a first transport path to route a sheet along a processing direction, an edge position detector to detect a lead edge of the sheet, a marking device that prints on a first side of the sheet, a second transport path to receive the sheet from the marking device, and an inverter mechanism that receives the sheet from the second transport path and inverts the sheet along a cross-processing direction that is perpendicular to the processing direction. The printing apparatus also includes a third transport path that receives the inverted sheet and routes the inverted sheet back to the first transport path. With this configuration, upon being routed back to the first transport path, the edge position detector detects the same lead edge of the sheet as previously detected and the marking device prints on a second side of the sheet.

The raised tactile data and the indented tactile data may be a braille character, an alphanumerical character and/or a tangible data. The surface edge of the raised tactile data and/or the indented tactile data of the tactile data pattern may be curved. The tactile data pattern may be arranged according to an overlapping pattern arrangement and/or a non-overlapping pattern arrangement. The arrangement of the overlapping pattern arrangement and the non-overlapping pattern arrangement may be based on a combination of a print data and the raised tactile data and/or the indented tactile data.

The rectangular shaped sections preferably have a game design imprinted on one side. Each suit may have indicia, including: a King, Queen, Jack, numbers one through ten or a Wild. Further, the indicia and suits may be ranked. A playing board with die indicia and peg receptacles is incorporated into the lid of the game box which serves as storage for the pegs, die, and an instruction sheet. Each player starts with six pegs, and after establishing the order of play, they take turns rolling the die and inserting pegs into the holes corresponding to the number on the die. A player takes a peg from the board if a hole is already occupied. Rolling six repeatedly is the fastest way to get rid of pegs since the number six position is always empty. The first player to get rid of all of their pegs becomes the winner.

Abstract: In a poker game, where one or more players can play against the house, using a standard fifty-two card deck. Wherein players place their first bet after the cards have been dealt. All cards, twelve total, are dealt face-up exposing six 2-card hands. Players have the option of wagering on one set of cards out of six to use as their hand. Dealer discards the next card and places it into a designated area. This is done two more times, each time prior to revealing a community card. Three community cards are then dealt face-up. After which the dealer adds the fourth community card. Players have the option of placing a secondary wager, aka “Doubling Down”, on the determination that the fifth community card will benefit them to winning. Following, the three remaining discards are used in a bonus which gives all the players the option to wager on.

The modified blackjack game involves a competition between several players, each of whom plays conventional blackjack against the “house”. The objective is to win the most money from wagering. The cards are dealt from a shoe, and at least one “knockout” card is also included in the shoe. Abstract: A method of wagering in the games of Pai Gow and Pai Gow Poker, comprising a wager, called a push bet, that a particular player hand will push with the Dealer hand. This wager can be settled with the same pool of money that is used for bets that a player hand will win, or there can be a separate pool of money for this wager. The Push Bet may be available at any time or it may only be available if the same player makes another wager. In one embodiment the Push Bet pays a multiple of the wager. In another embodiment, the wager pays even money, but also qualifies the player to win a bonus. The present invention also includes a method of having a pool of money for settling push bets or tie bets that is different from the pool used to settle other bets.

A central portion of the fabric cover is severed along a predetermined line to secure a first opening and a drapery corresponding to the first opening. The fabric catch is substantially sagged away from the ball catching aperture.

The game is played by at least two players who start from a standing, upright position. Each player begins by securing one end of a tether around his or her waist and clipping the other end on to the hub. Then the players simultaneously begin leaning away from the center of the hub to an off-balance slanted position supported by their tether and the counterbalancing weight of the other players. Then, all players simultaneously, thrusting their bodies forward to regain a vertical balanced position without touching, holding anyone or anything else, or being held. The game is won when the players regain their freestanding vertical position and are balanced and under their own center of gravity.

The curled section curls in a first direction to a distal end. The curled section curls in the first direction in accordance with a predetermined radius and predetermined distance such that the distal en d of the curled section is located directly across from the first side of the linear section. The linear section and the curled section provide a generally “J” shaped cross-section. The annular, axial seal also has a tip portion contiguous with the opposite end of the linear section such that the linear section is between the tip portion and the curled section. The tip portion is slightly curved with respect to the linear section such that the tip portion breaks the first plane.

Abstract: A robotic tool changer having a master unit and a tool unit adapted to be coupled together. Movably mounted in the master unit of the robotic tool changer is a piston that is movable between locked and unlocked positions. The piston includes a contact area having an unlocking surface, a failsafe surface and a locking surface. Also provided is a series of rolling members contained within a retention area that are actuated by the piston to lock the master unit to the tool unit. For example, the piston engages the rolling members and urges them into a locked relationship with a bearing race that forms a part of the tool unit. To prevent the inadvertent or accidental movement of the piston from the locked position to the unlocked position, the piston is provided with a retarding surface generally disposed between the locking surface and the unlocking surface on the piston for retarding the movement of the piston as the piston moves from the locked position to the unlocked position.
