Publication number: 20070234808Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring a temperature difference between two regions within a cavitation system is provided. The system's cavitation chamber is partially or completely filled with cavitation fluid, the amount that the system is filled controlling whether a cavitation fluid free surface is formed within the cavitation chamber or a conduit coupled to the chamber. Regardless of whether the region of the system above the cavitation fluid free surface is within the chamber or within the conduit, a temperature difference is created between this region and the cavitation fluid within the cavitation chamber. The temperature difference between these two regions is monitored by monitoring the temperature of each region. The temperature difference can be created by either heating the region above the cavitation fluid free surface, cooling the cavitation fluid, or both.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2005Publication date: October 11, 2007Applicant: Impulse Devices, Inc.Inventor: Ross Tessien

A removable cover is connected removably to the box housing for covering the window, and is removable from the box housing so that the bevel gear set is exposed within the window, thereby allowing for access to the bevel gear set via the window and, thus, adjustment, maintenance, repair, and replacement of the bevel gear set.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventor: Chao-Chang Ho

Publication number: 20070234851Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for manufacture of fine precious metal containing particles, specifically silver-based particles and silver-based contact materials via an intermediate silver(+1)-oxide species. The process comprises in a first step the formation of a thermally instable silver (+1)-oxide species by adding a base to an aqueous silver salt solution comprising an organic dispersing agent. Due to the presence of the organic dispersing agent, the resulting silver (+1)-oxide species is thermally instable, thus the species is decomposing to metallic silver at temperature lower than 100° C. The process optionally may comprise the addition of a powdered compound selected from the group of inorganic oxides, metals, and carbon-based compounds. Furthermore the process may contain additional separating and drying steps. The process is versatile, cost efficient and environmentally friendly and is used for the manufacture of silver-based particles and electrical contact materials.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Applicant: UMICORE AG & CO KGInventors: Dan Goia, Sebastian Fritzsche, Bernd Kempf, Peter Braumann, Thierry Vandevelde

Publication number: 20070234852Abstract: A shaving/cutting device with directly deposited (formed) razor structures without the use of intermediate adhesives. The device is in the form of a substantially flat substrate with miniature razors that have been directly deposited and formed onto the surface of the substrate. The substrate is of a rigid or flexible nature. The substrate is substantially thin and is therefore flexible and its shape is rectangular, circular or oval in nature. The razors are substantially deposited in plurality as an array formation onto the surface of the substrate. In most cases the razor array formation is in the form of parallel, curved and concentric nature. Flat mesa structures that are substantially the same height as the razor structures are incorporated in the razor array formations. The methods of manufacturing one or more directly deposited razor structures and mesa structures is disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2007Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventor: Herbert Howland

Publication number: 20070234853Abstract: A tool for holding a rod having a threaded end, such as a bolt, in an aperture is disclosed. The tool comprises a handle with a knife portion extending from the handle. The knife portion has a first thread engaging edge and a second thread engaging edge that form a notch. The first thread engaging edge and the second thread engaging edge are configured and arranged to engage the threads on a bolt or a threaded rod to temporarily prevent it from being extracted from the aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventor: Steven Maymon

Publication number: 20070234854Abstract: A bendable-head power ratchet tool is described in which a conventional motor body is connected to a conventional socket head ratchet mechanism by a unique two-piece split-shaft the pieces of which articulate in the Z-axis while delivering torque. The driveshaft and foreshaft are coupled by a pivotable shaft coupling made from a simple and rugged slotted ball with wristpin in mating socket. Surprisingly simple, the pivotable shaft coupling may be assembled by merely dropping the foreshaft onto the driveshaft in place in the housing. Such ratchet tools may be pneumatic or electric. A preferred embodiment is an air-powered bendable head ratchet wrench.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2007Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventor: Ronny Collins

Publication number: 20070234855Abstract: A selective one-way screwdriver includes a handle including a grip, a driving device for driving a bit-coupling member in a selected one of two opposite directions, a first driving section, a second driving section comprising a skid-proof device and a third driving section comprising a skid-proof device. The diameter of the first driving section is larger than that of the second driving section. The diameter of the second driving section is larger than that of the third driving section. The first, second and third driving sections are good for providing different maximum torques at different top speeds.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventor: Bobby Hu

Publication number: 20070234856Abstract: A magnetic connecting tube for a screwdriver head including a main body, a push sleeve, an engaging piece, a compression ball, a blocking ring, a spring element, a polygonal bar, an stationary magnet, and a mobile magnet. A slide sleeve is mounted on the mobile magnet that is synchronically movable with the slide sleeve. The slide sleeve is disposed at a position corresponding to that of the compression ball. Moreover, the slide sleeve includes an axial guide slot with a deep top and a shallow bottom. In this way, the movement of the mobile magnet can be restricted by the interaction of the compression ball and the spring element. Meanwhile, it is easy to complete the initial process of the insertion of the polygonal screwdriver bit without moving the push sleeve. Accordingly, a simple operation can be ensured.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventor: Kuo-Chen Liu
