Publication number: 20070245934Abstract: An integrated biomass converter system capable of converting gasifiable material into a combustible fuel (fuel gas). The system includes elements to convert raw gasifiable material into unprocessed fuel and by a single chamber, down-draft gasifier furnace convert )process) the unprocessed fuel to yield fuel gas. The system includes means to incorporate additional gasifiable materials into the gasifier furnace, or optionally to incorporate material into the unprocessed fuel. The gasifier furnace includes a top closure unit with means to uniformly distribute unprocessed fuel in the furnace and surface treatment means to ensure uniformity of air distribution in the gasification layer and provide means to introduce supplemental gasifiable materials directly into the gasification zone.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2007Publication date: October 25, 2007Inventor: Brent Carman

Publication number: 20070245935Abstract: A fluidized bed boiler comprises a furnace whose lower part is equipped with a grate comprising means for supplying fluidizing air into the furnace. The furnace also comprises at least one heat transfer surface extending across the furnace and comprising elongated heat transfer tubes on top of each other. The heat transfer surface is supported on the grate from underneath, substantially over its whole length, in the section extending across the furnace.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2007Publication date: October 25, 2007Applicant: Metso Power OyInventors: Risto Etelaaho, Vesa Kainu

Publication number: 20070245936Abstract: The invention pertains to apparatus and methods for injecting viscous fertilizer, such as dewatered biosolids, below the surface of the soil. The invention also pertains to apparatus and methods for creating a continuous flow of viscous material and for dividing a flow of viscous material.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2006Publication date: October 25, 2007Inventors: Phil Sidhwa, Dan Goldhawk, Walter Grose, Gordon Grose

Publication number: 20070245937Abstract: A method for the subsurface application of fertilizers, biologicals, fumigants, non-fumigant pesticides or other chemicals to soil with reduced application rates. Discrete amounts of the materials are injected into the soil at numerous sites along a path during a pass through the soil. At the injection sites, the materials form diffusion patterns which may touch or overlapping with diffusion patterns of adjacent soil injections. The application of materials to soil in this manner maintains optimum efficacy with the use of the least amount of materials necessary per acre of soil.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2007Publication date: October 25, 2007Applicants: ARVESTA CORPORATIONInventors: Michael Allan, Charles Schiller

Publication number: 20070245938Abstract: A seeding and fertilizing apparatus comprises a plurality of seed assemblies each comprising a trailing arm pivotally connected at a front end thereof to the frame and a packer wheel rotatably attached to rear end thereof. A seed furrow opener is attached to the trailing arm ahead of the packer wheel which rolls along the seed furrow created by the opener. A vertical position of the seed furrow opener with respect to the packer wheel is adjustable, and a bias device is operative to exert a downward bias force on the trailing arm. A plurality of fertilizer assemblies each comprises a fertilizer knife mounted to the frame such that a vertical position of the fertilizer knife with respect to the implement frame is adjustable. The seed assemblies and fertilizer assemblies are oriented laterally such that each fertilizer furrow is located between adjacent seed furrows.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2006Publication date: October 25, 2007Inventors: Gerard Bourgault, Mark Cresswell

Publication number: 20070245939Abstract: A seed boot attaches to a tine of an agricultural heavy harrow so as to be particularly suited for seeding in wet soils. Seeding is accomplished by advancing the harrow across the ground in the forward working direction when the ground is still wet. The tines form furrows within which the seed is deposited. The seed boot comprises a tubular body which is supported directly on the tine and which has a lower portion terminating just above the free end of the tine which is near a width of the tine.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2007Publication date: October 25, 2007Inventor: Ulrich Gehrer

Publication number: 20070245940Abstract: A sewing machine for stitching thread with several colors according to a sewing pattern stored in the form of stitch data in a memory, where the thread is dyed by a mechanism for dyeing the thread and where the upper thread is fed to a needle by a thread feeder. The thread consumption per stitch is calculated by a control unit from the data. The thread feeder is controlled by the control unit so that for each step it advances the calculated thread consumption for the stitch.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2007Publication date: October 25, 2007Applicant: VSM GROUP ABInventor: Rolf Wahlstrom
