Patent number: 7307197Abstract: In an inter-labia pad comprising an absorbing body for absorbing bodily fluid and a cover material for covering the absorbing body, the cover material has a human body-side face that faces the labia of a wearer and an absorbing body-side face that faces the absorbing body. The absorbing body includes a labia-following layer and a bodily liquid-storing layer. The labia-following layer, together with the cover material, deforms in accordance with the shape of the wearer's labia, and the bodily liquid storing-layer is in contact with the labia-following layer so that bodily liquid can move from the labia-following layer to the liquid-storing layer. The pad can be reliably fit to subtle shapes of the wearer's urethral opening, private parts, etc.; therefore the pad provides excellent appearance, and prevents bodily liquid from leaking without giving the wearer sense of discomfort.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2005Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Uni-Charm CorporationInventors: Satoshi Mizutani, Koichi Yamaki, Yuki Noda, Megumi Tokumoto, Akane Sakai

Patent number: 7307198Abstract: A method of reconstituting an animal embryo involves transferring a diploid nucleus into an oocyte which is arrested in the metaphase of the second meiotic division. The oocyte is not activated at the time of transfer, so that the donor nucleus is kept exposed to the recipient cytoplasm for a period of time. The diploid nucleus can be donated by a cell in either the G0 or G1 phase of the cell cycle at the time of transfer. Subsequently, the reconstituted embryo is activated. Correct ploidy is maintained during activation, for example, by incubating the reconstituted embryo in the presence of a microtubule inhibitor such as nocodazole. The reconstituted embryo may then give rise to one or more live animal births. The invention is useful in the production of transgenic animals as well as non-transgenics of high genetic merit.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2001Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Roslin InstituteInventors: Keith Henry Stockman Campbell, Ian Wilmut

Patent number: 7307235Abstract: A butt welding apparatus, a butt welding method, and a product manufactured by the butt welding method involves two electrode rollers disposed on both the front and back sides of a thick sheet member and a thin sheet member whose end surfaces are butted. The electrode rollers bridge across the sheet members and are composed of small diameter portions on the side of the thick sheet member and large diameter portions on the side of the thin sheet member. The small diameter portions come into contact with and press the thick sheet member before the large diameter portions come into contact with the thin sheet member. Thus, the end surface of the thick sheet member swells and deforms toward the thin sheet member and reliably comes into contact with the end surface of the thin sheet member, and power is applied between the end surfaces, even if not polished.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2003Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Kikuchi Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yutaka Miyamoto, Takao Minagawa, Shinichi Inagaki, Kazu Uchida, Kiyoyuki Fukui

Patent number: 7307236Abstract: A weld circuit for use in a welder is provided. The weld circuit comprises a charge section, a capacitor section, and a weld section. The charge section includes a first plurality of solid state switches, e.g., silicon controlled rectifiers (charge SCRs), the capacitor section includes a weld capacitor, and the weld section includes a second plurality of solid state switches, e.g., silicon controlled rectifiers (weld SCRs). The charge SCRs form a bridge between the lines in the charge circuit. One weld SCR is coupled to a first weld terminal and the other weld SCR is coupled to a second weld terminal. The charge and weld SCRs isolate the charge section, the capacitor section, and the weld section from each other. The weld circuit is coupleable to a safety circuit that comprises a resistor, a microcontroller, and optical isolators. When the optical isolators are enabled, the microcontroller monitors a current flowing through the resistor.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2005Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Image Industries, Inc.Inventors: Travis Gene Larson, Blake C. Patent number: 7307240Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing welding-type power includes a source of welding-type power and a controller. The controller is a state-based controller, and/or a deterministic control module, connected to the controller output. The state-based control module includes, in an embodiment, software instructions and a digital processor, and/or a state transition table stored in a spreadsheet data base. The controller is responsive to a feedback circuit. One or more welding peripherals, such as a wire feeder or robot, are connected to the controller. The current state may be represented by data in a first line of a spreadsheet and a state-ending event by a second, perpendicular, line of a spreadsheet. The subsequent state is determined by the intersection of the first and second lines in another embodiment.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2006Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Todd Holverson, Robert Davidson, James Uecker
